The wage gap continues and some of us are fighting our own communities to not opt out of a $15 min wage(include to that over the next 5 years) while the wage gap grows and our middle class continues to shrivel.

People didn't care about Watergate until they did. The last couple of months of Nixon's presidency. The best thing about the Russian investigation has been Mueller who's so far been quietly doing his job while Anderson Cooper and his panels of crazies still scream endlessly. The problem is the cynicism of America and the 24 hour news cycle. Frankly I don't understand the penchant for the news networks. It's not news anymore it's 24 hours a day of listening to a bunch of so called "journalists" telling viewers how they feel. And I think the print media would likely be a while lot better if not for the ratings based so called television journalism. Yes PBS did good work as did Al Jazeera and even the BBC reporting on news here. What I find amazing is do people think the combined viewership of maybe 10 million TV viewers is who we depend on? Its not them it's their obvious influence over so called "serious" journalism and social media that's been the biggest sin. And that applies to conservatives and liberals. And it appeals to the stupidity and cynicism of many Americans today. Americans have been paying attention to healthcare. I can't say the media is ignoring it, but people are still protesting, calling in record numbers, and it has been getting media coverage. The local media outlets are paying attention for those who think the screamers at the national level are not. Watching local news here in Chicago - a liberal area - there is never any coverage of Russia but plenty on local protests, rally's, of our GOP reps, our lousy Governor and their ignorance and inaction. Heck Crains Chicago which is still half reputable and a right leaning publication has been going after the GOP reps from our state and our Governor for months now.

I am not as down on the Sanders platform as I was but some of these people need to get off the idea that so many people are craving for single payer and free college. When I was phone banking for Quist in Montana I had a few voters who supported Quist tell me he needs to stop sounding like a socialist because most people don't want "freebees" There is a case to be made for jobs but not everyone thinks that so called Free Healthcare and Free college is the answer. And when I relayed the messages that were told to me some did not want to hear it. I was listening to a podcast with Norman Goldman the other day where someone called in from Michigan and talked about Working Class voters there. He said many were over 100 pds overweight never went to the doctor and didn't care about healthcare. They said all these people cared about was why they couldn't have the jobs they had 20 years ago. Hillary Clinton's message with the right messenger or a media system who might give a damn about that message would IMO win elections, She talked about jobs for those people involved needing infrastructure investments that would include broadband, job training is the way to address their concerns about jobs. Not everyone cares, especially in red lower educated areas, about free college and healthcare.

Basically they can get much of that info anyway. It's public record. The Dems also have that data although they don't use it for voter suppression.(at least I hope not).

There are Indivisible Groups all over Oklahoma. And there have been protests happening in red states. Check out Indivisibleguide.com and see the number of groups there. It's impressive. I have to believe Tulsa, Oklahoma City both have active groups and protests happening or will be happening over the recess.

I think if you have a billionaire who truly understands that what we are, are a consumer driven economy and that helping those other than the 1% as FDR did is the only way to prosperity it's great. FDR stood up to people from HIS OWN CLASS to help working people, and people need to understand, those people built our national and state parks, added electricity to local communities, built airports, subway systems across the county, built infrastructure in rural communities, people who think the Koch brothers would do any of this are living in a fantasy land. Most of that was before 1965 and the passing of the Voting Rights and Civil Rights acts which LBJ acknowledged would lose the southern states for the democrats for at least one generation. So stop parroting the points relative to the party when it wqas actually reasonable and believed that public policy could help people. Corporate taxes under Eisenhower was also around 75% so are you advocating for those policies, policies under Roosevelt and Eisenhower which helped elevate the middle class? Educate yourself and read about the Southern Strategy. My fault. I take the blame. But it is evidence of ignorance and that they could care less about what the GOP stands for today. As much as I disliked Bush even he did a couple of things I admired. The program @DramatistDreamer being one of them. Also how he attended those services in Washington at the Mosque to show his support of Muslims after 9/11(even if his policies didn't). But I can't get over the venom people have for people not like them. I admit to being appalled by some of the policies in this country over the past maybe 20 peoples(yes even under Obama) but I always felt the people in this country had compassion.
