Genius! This way, they can bring back the actors that are part of Jackie’s GH history, but don’t necessarily make sense as cameos on canvas anymore. I think Jackie, with her 45+ years on canvas, and at least 30 of them as a lead character, deserves the Jeanne Cooper/ Kristoff St. John real life/ reel life honour. For the real Jackie tribute, they can bring back the ex-husbands dead or alive (Brad Maule, Sam Behrens), the Carly’s (Tamara Braun, Sarah Brown), the Lulu’s (namely Julie Bergman), and Tony Geary. I think each of these players will have so much to share about their old friend. For the reel life, I hope we get Lucas back (Ryan Carnes) and close-out his storyline. Lucky (JJ) is a welcomed bonus. I pray Leslie Charleson is back as Monica by then too, she and Bobbie’s relationship and rapport was such a big part of the show for so long. We are fortunate that so many of Bobbie’s friends (Felicia, Laura, Scotty) and foes (Lucy) are still viable characters on canvas. The fallout from her death will be really felt.

I will give the show credit for Joss’ makeover. She doesn’t look like a teen anymore. It’s like she became an adult overnight. Scotty and Cody have a lot of potential as comedic partners. Scotty is best when he has a little humour in his storyline v. pure scheming. I like that Cody is playing for laughs. Lucy is finally back, and no one has mentioned how happy to have her alive again. No emotional reunions. What a wasted opportunity. Gladys is Rhonda Wexler 2.0. Agreed? I don’t need Morgan Fairchild in Port Charles.

Katherine Chancellor’s presumed death was amazing. We got her romance with Murphy, which I don’t think anyone realised how we received that pairing was going to be. We also got the best funeral in YR, or maybe soap opera, history. Cameos from vets we hadn’t seen in years (Gina, Danny, Dina). Shock and awe moments (Victor and Ashley arriving together). Resolution to long-drawn out plots (Traci and Lauren’s detente). It should be studied by writers in Soap Opera 101 - how to manage a large canvas, how to tap into long history, and push the story along

Im fine with Tony sitting this out. He sucks the air out of the room, and this tribute is all about Jackie. Leave Luke dead.

Kristina is supposed to be a smart cookie, she was smart in HS and went to an Ivy League before dropping out. Can they fast forward her through uni, and say she has been taking night classes, and is now a med student? I think she would mix it up well with the hospital crowd. Maybe she can be a psych intern under Kevin?

You have to give Victor and Nicky credit that Sharon gets to stay at her home on the Newman ranch grounds, despite not being married to a Newman. I appreciate that there is a little bygones/ be bygones moment there. Though, it would make more sense if Sharon never married Victor too. I remember Phyllis once lived on the grounds, when she separated from Jack because of Diane. What has happened to that home now?

There are only 2 ways out for Phyllis: 1) She actually finds herself in danger, like kidnapped for real by a back from the dead Stark 2) She does things unimpeachably heroic, like saving Harrison from imminent death If not, this is a “hate” and not a “love to hate” moment for the character. Dragging the kids into the storyline is doing her no favours.

If ever there was a moment when you realise you are on the “wrong side of history.” Ramona has only gotten messier since the end of RHONY. LuAnn and Dorinda will rue the day they ever welcomed her back into the fold. I saw the 3 of them cackling together at The Mark Hotel recently. It was not attractive. They were loud, they wanted the attention, in a setting that is better described as “classy.”

Hayley was fine for me. Abby still read child, despite now being a teen. Emme Rylan was too much too fast. She read “30” to me. In fact, Melissa Ordway early in her run read younger to me than Emme.

Episodes like these are truly once in a lifetime. Every character felt the ripple of this death. No just the sadness of BJ’s passing, but the relief in Maxine’s survival. To put Felicia and Bobbie on the two sides of the same coin — wow. For a decade, we saw this friendship blossom into a sisterhood. The mix of emotions, they felt it, we felt it, I still feel it. I think Bobbie’s tear soaked face when Felicia realises Maxie is being saved by BJ’s heart will forever be an image associated with GH and the American soap opera.

This looks like the poster to a very scary Lifetimes film…

What was Sam Behren’s (Jake) exit storyline? Did he and Bobbie end on good terms? The final JZ scenes being the Nurses’ Ball and Michael’s wedding are a good conclusion for the character. Especially a character marginalised for a decade with bad writing and being forgotten on the canvas. If you asked me in 2010 would Bobbie ever witness Michael get married, I would have said “no.” I remember when she came back just ahead of the 50th anniversary for the Nurses’ Ball, it was amazing how quickly Bobbie fit right back into the canvas. There was a moment where it seemed like all the veteran cameos were happening so quickly and so piled on (Felicia, Frisco, Scott, Laura, Bobbie, Nikolas, Lucy, Kevin) and everything was going to be handled superficially. But, Bobbie came back in a bang, literally! I think Nikolas was shot, and Bobbie went into nurse mode. I still can’t believe how 10 years later so many of those vets who came back are still on canvas and in many cases more vital than ever. I hope they find a way to work JZ’s kids back in a cameo. I would hate to spoil, the holidays but it would be so fitting for Bobbie’s passing to first be acknowledged at the Christmas Carol reading. Bobbie, and the Jones cousins, were such a big part of that tradition. Perhaps JZ’s kids can be the elves this year, and Ned can dedicate the reading of the Carol to the nurse who was always there for this annual tradition. Another way I could see this storyline coming full circle for Bobbie is if there is an accident and someone needs a heart transplant. Like BJ, Bobbie is rendered brain dead and her heart is given to someone so they can survive. Imagine the parallels or emotions and reactions. It can be a younger character, so Bobbie’s legacy lives on. I hope FV has the smarts to wait post writer strike to do this tribute. I am willing to wait to make sure the storyline is handled correctly.

This was a year, in a 25+ history of the character. I do not think those sins outweigh Neil’s true character. I was the biggest AL Summer fan when she was mourning Phyllis, but Summer now being in on the deception is not doing the character any favours. All we do is see Summer sulk around town. Her nuanced performances as her mother died, has turned into one-note sulking that makes her look like she smelled something bad. Daniel and Summer have no reason to keep Phyllis’ secrets. They know Phyllis is a schemer and have called her out on it in the past. They would been better served not to be her co-conspirators, but the Greek chorus exposing her. The only good thing about this storyline is how it will affect Kyle and Summer, hopefully breaking them up. Both actors have more chemistry with other players on the canvas. I would love Noah to be brought into this story. Younger Noah had resentment about Phyllis breaking up his parent’s marriage. It would be an amazing commupence for Noah to expose the lie and manipulation.

She was a formidable force, and I think a better mob antagonist than Alcazar. Where Alvazar was a villain, Faith was flawed. Faith had a rooting value. Gosh, she even made Justus come alive in their short pairing. On the current canvas, I do appreciate that the mob is downplayed, but none of the other monsters seem formidable. It looks like Sonny has won the war with the five families and is reigning unopposed. Nina and Ava’s scenes were so boring today. I love Ava, but I do not see a need for her any longer. I like the storyline potential here. Dex is going to find himself under the weight of many lies. His deception of Sonny. Michael’s pressure to leave town. Desperate times lead to desperate measures. I think the portrayer can handle the material too, of a desperate man who will now have to do desperate things to survive. I hope Dex gets a new co-schemer. Who wants to take Michael down? I feel like the Q’s all like him now. Who else is angling to take Michael down a knotch?

Maxie and Sasha were painful to watch today. Not one of these women have a demonstrated business acumen. The decision not to ask Lucy to help with deception was flimsy.

Bobbie was the heart of GH through my childhood. She and Tony were the stalwart couple, the younger version of Steve and Audrey manning the halls of GH. As so many remember the major Bobbie stories (Stealing Scotty! BJ’s heart!) for years it was about the normal moments at the brownstone that made Bobbie special. She was like a sister to Felicia. She had amazing and heartfelt scenes with Tamara and Sarah as Carly. It was those everyday scenes that made her special. The nurses station, the brownstone, and Kelly’s. Bobbie reigned over all the hubs of Port Charles life. I will be hard pressed to think where they will do a proper memorial for her when so many of these symbolic locales were hers. My dream guest list? Carnes as Lucas (of course). Rick Springfield and Susan Pratt, to close out on that love story and rivalry. Maybe extra cameos by Sarah Brown and Tamara Braun?

The actor playing Dex is quite good. In fact, very good. I loved how he even made talking about a Farmer's Market sexy. He seems like one of those characters that they would normally have living shirtless on the canvas (ala Nathan). I hope that's the case soon.

One funny thing about Kyle Abbott is that the portrayer is so tall, that he breaks any of the forced perspective illusions they try to create on the sets. When he ran into the Abbott mansion to the stairs, you could tell they were far from grand and like a ladder with steps. He's just a little too tall and too lanky for the illusions to work.

If Maxie goes, though, who's gonna look after her 30 kids? I'm so awful for wishing for another, even more fatal school bus accident like the one that killed B.J. Even more reason to let Maxie and Spin go off canvas. She can come back for holidays and say, "the kids are with Spin." The issue with another "BJ" story for GH, is that unlike the BJ era, the current crop of kids seem interchangeable. I do not have the love, the affection, the connection to any of them that I do to BJ. It would be a the waste of a death. Just send them to some Boarding School. We can see them in 5 years when they are SORAS'd or send them straight to college. Does anyone remember when Dante's greatest chemistry was with his own mother, Olivia? I forget how much they look like siblings, versus mother and son. I wonder what Lisa Lo thought about that casting.

I'm not sure Taggart is even on the canvas anymore. He has not popped up in a while. I mean, his daughter is missing, and we have heard nothing from him. I really like Portia and her portrayer. She is a blank enough slate that I think the romantic pairings possibilities are pretty limitless. Her backstory has been barely explored, beyond this "Who is the Father" storyline. And the actress is a capable actress, which is a lot to ask for these days.

Is the haunted star destroyed?

I’m not even sure who Gladys is.

This would be so hot. JT and Elena have to be two of the sexiest people I have ever seen. …and I would love to see Elena embrace a bit of her darker side.

Okay, so my latest cats culling list: Sasha, Willow, Drew, Diane, Chase, Finn, Gregory, Maxie, Spinelli, Sam …and is it strange I would not miss a single one? Even Maxie, who was the child on GH we all grew up with and loved. Have we gotten any payoff from Lucy’s return from the dead? For months, a whole town mourned her. Did we see her since her Nurses’ Ball return? This has to be a mistake right?
