A good friend of mine who had a b-list level child acting career (think guest star on babysitter’s club) explained to me why so many “kids” are eventually recast on soaps when it comes time for them to play an adult. What makes a good child actor physically, is the opposite of what makes a good adult actor. For child actors, casting agents want someone smaller so they can be older in age, but play younger. That way the actor is more mature and can take direction better. You are often playing younger than your age. For adult/teens it’s the opposite. They want the taller/model type. So just by biology alone, you may not longer fit your role despite originating it. Look at Kim Mc, she was a foot smaller than any other teen or romantic interest. It’s what makes her survival on GH that much more special.

The cards are going to come crashing down on Louis, and he is not helping himself. Every red flag and siren is going off for me. I don’t know what is long game is with Teresa, I just know I am going to feel so sorry for her when he shows his true colours.

I think NLG’s reaction is what I would expect from a friend. You stand by your friends even when they’re wrong. I would not expect anything less. Has anyone seen any statement from ABC on this? I feel like this story is starting to get picked up outside the soap press.

Nader was from a different era and had a different level of clout. He was seen as a get on AMC for his lead role in Dynasty. He was in a popular front-burner romance with Susan Lucci. He was also in an era when ABC could better control the press. Haley is a minor recurring character. She fucked up baldly trying to minimise what happened. She was replaceable before this awful accident, and is rightfully replaceable now. I hope she gets the help she needs. I hope she shows some signs of remorse for the mess she created. Everyone loves a come back story. Once she’s paid for her crime, I hope she gets that chance at redemption.

My heart just broke. We all watched Haley grow-up on screen. She was our next Kim Mc, our next Robyn Richards. Wow. I know she got so much protection on set, especially from NLG. Nancy spoke out when Soaps In Depth ran photos of her in a bikini when she was only a teen. I thought just perhaps she had escaped the child star curse. I hope Haley gets the help she needs. These actions, the DUI and the hit/run, is a clear cry for help. The last thing she needs to do is worry about playing Molly.

Imagine: Personalities beyond "Caucasian"! Katherine got a bad rap, but hit was the character we needed at that point. We needed someone polarising. We needed someone who was not related to everyone. We needed a utility player that could go between groups and stories. Just look how much ground she covered in the short time she was there. She went head-to-head with the Q’s, and brought out the fun side of Edward. She then mixed it up Lucy, and made a memorable “Lucy and Ethel” pairing. Even her final chapter as the Cassadine punching bag was memorable. I’ll always remember the prime time episode ending with her shot in the graveyard. Desperate, naggy, and needy, the audience was supposed to have a visceral reaction to her. Jenny and Paul on the other hand just sucked. Moreso Jenny. Paul at least had the cheekbones going for him.

It was mentioned on GH more than once and I remember the same Sonny/Scott scene. That's not saying it couldn't be undone, but it would require some explanation. I think Karen had a target on her back on Port Charles when it pivoted to the supernatural and distanced itself from GH. Scotty and Serena jumped ship to the mother ship. Lee/Gail faded away. She was one one of the last mothership characters left on canvas. Unlike Lucy and Kevin, who basically became new characters, she was too much a reminder of Port Charles past.

Michael is not exactly known for his integrity. I mean he was planning to betray his own father! What made you think he wasn’t going to betray your boy toy.

That's funny because I see them all piling into an Subaru and heading to a country cabin to meet up with Sue Flannery for a girls weekend. And Suzanne Rogers is NOT invited. But who will make the lemon bars?

The scene was short, but we’ll worth it: Brenda and Karen talk about their lives in front of Stone’s AIDS quilt panel… Karen: Was it hard watching him die? Brenda: Yes. Such a simple exchange, brought to life through two capable actors and the most emotional musical score. You felt the raw emotion. You felt they’re shared pain. Karen for her brother-in-law, Brenda for her friend.

I hope that this season becomes some sort or urban legend. The footage captured will be so politically incorrect, borderline racist, and problematic that Bravo decides never to air it. All we get is snippets of raw footage that the ladies leaked to Page Six from their iPhones. At the end, Dorinda will finally go to rehab and anger management. Ramona will finally be cancelled, despite all the producers do to protect her. Everyone will figure out Kelly is a lot smarter than she comes off. She is the straight man in the group, the actual voice of reason. …and Bethenny gets to say, “I told you so.”

Robert S. Dimera, his illegitimate son with a Boston-based flight attendant as played by Robert Scott Wilson. RSW will not be compensated for this duel role. All of his scenes will be clipped together based on existing footage from his run as Ben.

Is Wyatt actually still on this show? It’s funny how despite the small cast, players can be back burned for months at a time.

It's taken me so long to get to a place where I don't hate Felicia. Please don't undo all that for me now. Say it ain’t so! I thought Felicia was pretty universally loved, like Anna and Lucy, sans her ill fated romance with Luke. The only “popular” GH character on canvas I don’t “love” is Scotty. He is always hit or miss for me. His “take down Sonny” phase in the mid-2000’s and his “keep Laura away from PC” phase soured him for me. I like him when he has more levity and humour, like his schemes with Lucy. His romance with Obrecht is such a throw away plot point.

…. Or in classic lazy soap opera writing, an until known unknown child of Stefano Dimera.

Am I the only one that felt the homoerotic energy between Michael/ Daniel/ Kyle in their Abbot mansion scene today? Gosh the three actors had more passion and heat with each other versus any of their current romantic pairings. I am not the biggest Kyle fan, but a romance with with Daniel has me *swoon*

Denise was so underrated. When I was a kid, I wanted Alan and Rhonda to end up together. I still remember the early years of Port Charles, and how protective Alan was of Karen. She deserved to cross over to the main canvas. It was those deep relationships with Alan, Brenda, Robin, unexplored because of the limitations of the two shows, that we were longing for. I don’t even remember if Brenda/ Karen got a chance to address their relationship at a Nurses Ball? I remember them performing in fosse together, but don’t remember any lead up to that.

Unpopular opinion: Chelsea and Sally are the same the character (Fashion designers bedding Billy/ the Newman boys). Pick one, and let the other go. I vote to let go of Chelsea. I get nothing out her, suicide scenes included. And I loved Annie McDermott! I really like Sally/Chloe working together. Can we please give Liz Hendrickson a storyline? In the few months she was on GH, Liz came back to life again! Why she would ever come back to Genoa City after basically being front burner in Port Charles is beyond me. It’s clear her relationship with Kevin is unflavoured by the fans and limiting the character. I miss the scheming Chloe sleeping with with brothers (Cane/Billy) and social climbing. I want her to backstab Sally, take over the Fashion house, and get enough shares to be a board member at Newman Enterprises. Give this girl some hutzpah again. She is Kay’s god daughter for Christ’s sake! Michael and Diane are 1000xs more fun than Michael/Phyllis. I hope he drops Phyllis hard. He should feel betrayed for being used in the deception. Phyllis should be on an island. I want her DESPERATE.

This storyline is more interesting than anything happening in Salem these days..

I completely forgot Scotty was supposed to hate Cody for claiming to be Dominique’s son. Has this all been confirmed, is Cody actually a Staub/ Scorpio or is there still some ambiguity? I thought Serena gave away her fortune. Is there anything left for them to fight over? Carly is not coming back, we deserve a strong Serena on canvas. I know everyone has been clamouring for a Marci Miller Lulu, but I think she would be a good fit for Serena. Cody is sex on a stick. Give him a romance worth fighting for. Maybe he can cozy up to Brad after finding himself underwater on some debt to Selina? Or, he can work as a stable hand at the Q’s and strike-up a friendship turned romance with Brooklyn? I love that they dress Felicia likes she shops at Kohls/Chico’s. That is exactly how she should look! She is part super spy/ part suburbanite whose kitchen has all those wood block signs with kitschy sayings like, “rose all day.”

I guess you’re right. I just chalked it up to vets like Maggie and Marlena rarely getting scenes in general, and the end of the character-driven “talk to” scenes. Suzanne more than anyone benefitted from the Drake/Deidre/Stephen/Mary Beth back-to-back departures. She got more storyline immediately, between Mia and Melanie, and becoming the default elder Horton. We were even seeing her home on a regular basis, and we know what a home set means these days in terms of a character’s status on a show. Are these actors so vain as to let airtime come between them?

This can’t be true. I thought Maggie and Marlena were friends. Am I misremembering them having a lot of scenes together around her “wedding of the century” to John in the early 2000’s. They basically worked together every day during the Salem Serial Killer story.

This is so left field for me. Kristen doesn’t even live in NYC anymore! Her friends (Heather, Carole) are not part of this trip. She has the Ashley Madison scandal to deal with. These ladies already have their targets set on her. She is going to regret going on this trip so badly. Without Jill and Bethenny, and with Ramona and Dorinda in the fold, I am out. My life is too short for this negativity.
