BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
In the last 20 years, trends have shown opening credits being reduced to either one single card being zoomed in or an extremely stylish design composition (think what they do over at Elastic). I believe we can expect BTG to feature short opening credits, including graphics and an instantly-classic theme. Face cards are a no go in this era.

Y&R: Ed Scott Returns As Senior Producer
Exactly! Who would even buy those? I am positive they just consider the old cues 'too old'.

2024: The Directors and Writers Thread
I’m glad she’s writing but I can’t help but think of Vicky Rowell when she advocated for herself to join the Y&R writing team and they refused mentioning “conflict of interest”.

DAYS: Will classic episodes ever be available?
You play a flashback on a streaming platform that people pay to join --> you pay a residual to the actors acting in that flashback. You post a thousand year old clip online where no one is making any money (for example, X) --> I don't see the moral obligation for a residual, sorry. Some people are forgetting the importance of archiving, which is why in 2024 we still have tons of soap episodes missing.

DAYS: Will classic episodes ever be available?
What residuals? These episodes were meant to air only once, maybe twice if they were extremely classic. By sharing clips you're giving the actors and writers a new chance to shine and be relevant.

Demain nous appartient (France)
You're actually convincing me to try the other French soaps. I'm beginning to see the silliness in DNA, but I still crave some daily drama to be hooked to and I'm drooling over the looks of the French soaps. I also noticed how DNA includes so much diversity. There's two characters on a wheel-chair and one of them has a story that doesn't revolve around their wheel chair at all. I think it's amazing. There's so many empty, forgotten places in Europe that would thrive from initiatives like this. I wonder if over time Sete will be affected by overtourism and they'll have to change locations, who knows.

Demain nous appartient (France)
That's amazing. Thanks. I mean, how big are their ratings? They must reach around 3 million people each night. US soaps are around 2 millions and they've always looked like crap in comparison 😕 Plus it's shocking to me they're using a real beach side town to shoot. What will happen when the prices of that area will sky rocket? It's just an interesting case. I've been watching a couple of episodes so far and it's turning out to be a bit silly. They have a stalker right now who locked the main character and her child in a hotel room and gassed the room (acceptable CGI). Turns out the stalker used tear gas. I really don't think so. I myself watch it with French subtitles on and I'm not that fluent in French.

Demain nous appartient (France)
Jayane @AMCOLTLLover where have you been able to watch the whole show, if I may? @FrenchFan although you're not watching, aren't you just amazed at their production values? I'd love to know what their business model is and why it can't apply to US soaps 😢

Demain nous appartient (France)
I recently became aware of this show because one of their couples became viral on Twitter. I stated watching it and I am amazed at their production values. It's out of this world lush! Is anyone familiar with their production model? Does anybody watch regularly?
