  1. Yeah, she had sort of a Valley Girl accent. BK seemed kind of miffed with the attention her big sis was getting, or sad and annoyed that she was still a kid and Laprincia was a big girl now. They were a mess but they did seem like fun people to hang out with. I draw the line at cocaine though. Ha, "line", I didn't even...
  2. The young lady with him was BK's big sis, LaPrincia. I remember her from an ep of Being Bobby Brown.
  3. If you all go to that link now, they are about to play IWALY and carry Whitney out which was just... no words...
  4. Yeah, the decision to air/stream it came later. I woke up a little after noon and flipped open my laptop. I had this: http://www.livestream.com/whitneyhouston already marked in my favorite places the night before and I spent the next three hours watching in bed/the kitchen/the bathroom.
  5. It's none of my business, but I get more and more curious about the Bobby situation because it's sounding MUCH worse than I think any of us thought. I never would have guessed that this not being invited to the funeral at first/beingdenied acess to his daughter business was true. I mean, what the hell happened that security prevented him from going over to see his daughter?? If that's true, that an only mean one thing, that BK doesn't want him near her. She's grown enough to say yea or nay to her father.
  6. "OTOH, the sister in law's Mother Teresa comparison was just way OTT." LOL, IKR? She had the thankless job of "reading the church papers" so to speak, the very clinical sounding acknowledgments and thanks. Alicia Keys looked so good but she kind of annoyed me when she spoke. I genuinely worry about the toll this will take on Cissy. I don't know why my heart goes straight to her when BK lost her mom. I think it has something to do with the many times I saw her in the audience with BK on her lap or at her side when Whitney was making a talk show appearance. Especially when controversial subjects would come up and I just had the sense that Cissy was really going through it, knowing first hand what the real deal was behind the scenes and praying for the best for her daughter. This is not a "new" problem for her and it seems like she's spent the last twenty odd years fretting over her daughter between the moments of happiness. That is a great emotional load, and to have it end this way, which is really just the beginning of a life mourning her child. So sad.
  7. Cissy being ushered out of the church behind her daughter's casket is an image I won't soon forget.
  8. They had Wheels come back once on TNG with all of that unresolved animosity from School's Out and I wish they'd fleshed it out more.
  9. I know! I read that the other day, that is something else. It's funny because his original character was sort of the "hunk" linked to Caitlin's original character. Then in DJH, Wheels became such a troubled character, and with those glasses he had this "bring a shotgun to school" vibe about him not unlike Rick of TNG.
  10. And they're doing a special 2O/2O on her too @9.

  16. Tomorrow evening they're having a private viewing at the funeral home. There will be a motorcade from Whigham's to New Hope on Saturday so the fans can say goodbye. I really don't know what to make out of these reports that Bobby Brown is unwelcome...
  17. I heard it'll be streamed over the net, but I could see one of the local Jersey channels or even New York One airing it, not sure. At any rate, I definitely plan on watching. And oh my God, I'm scared about whatever site that's streaming it totally crashing. Not to sound corny, but I was raised in the Baptist church and have been to countless homegoings like this one is sure to be and I almost feel like I need to dress up like soap fans used to dress up for weddings.
  18. I would like to think so but I'm not so sure she did, nor did she really have the time to reflect on it. That's what makes it so messy and sad. Tequila makes folks crazy, she may have even forgotten about it. The fact that this all involves Ray J just makes me doubly sick.
  19. That is a crying damn shame. What an awful note in her last days. Tequila is not a game. I've learned that one the hard way.
  20. When you think about it, it makes sense. She was a young model/singer in NY with TV appearances out in L.A. at the height of the coke boom, she had to have run into it somewhere whether in a nightclub or on set. I'm sure her mom was around, but she couldn't be around all the time. And just like she picked up smoking from her elders, who knows what else she may have picked up? Or at least been exposed to. We know cousin Dionne liked her reefer. I'm not saying, just wondering... In his book that never got released, Bobby talked about how surprised he was by how "black" Whitney really was, moreso than himself. Her public image was far from the real person who often caught hell from the black community for being too "white". She was from rough ass Newark, she was no stranger to drugs and violence. That's not to say that it automatically corrupts a person, but to say that Bobby introduced her to the dark underbelly of the world is just false. Not saying that his presence didn't make things worse, but the person who feeds the fire didn't necessarily build it.
  21. Ha! That's funny, that didn't even occur to me. What's not funny is that she didn't even get a lifetime achievement.
  22. Thanks for sharing this, their efforts were not in vain!
  23. I think JHud did a great job but her voice is richer than Whitney's, she's more akin to Aretha where her high notes are more like squalls whereas Whitney more effortlessly soared. The girl on Glee's voice is less textured than JHud's and she's better able to achieve that high and pure Whitney effect. Not that one is better than the other, just different. For instance, Whitney was The Voice but her And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going couldn't touch Jennifer Holliday's. Speaking of: http://piersmorgan.b...et-bobby-brown/
  24. Her body's been flown home on Tyler Perry's private jet. The funeral is Friday.
