ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Yes, that's right, Rebecca Budig. Then eventually Nancy St. Albans was Michelle Bauer Santos when she married into the Santos clan via Danny. And, they had Robbie as a son. That seems suspicious to me that they fired Bryan Buffington just over 5'1" and 5'4". I wonder who did the firing. JFP? MADD?

Yes, VR, I am appreciative today of the assistance I'm getting via private messages. I doubt that many people did not know that that was Patrick McNee who died this year. He & Diana Rigg were the original Avengers. Now, you have gone even further & accused me of having a mental illness. You're just pitiful about this. I'm working as hard as I can here to get along with all y'all. And, I've got people sending me messages to help me. And, I am very hopeful that sooner instead of later I will fit in here. STOP CALLING ME NAMES. I WILL NOT CALL YOU ANY.

Well, he was fired. Both he & Rachel Miner, who had played young Michelle to his young Billy were both fired. In his case, he was considered to be too short for whomever had ended up as that next Michelle. I can't think what her name was. I'm blank. But, I do know that later she ended up over on ABC. Someone will think of it. Gosh, I loved both of them! Bryan Buffington and Rachel Miner! Yasmine Bleeth and Christian Slater are two who were child actors as well, weren't they? I don't think she works but I think he does.

I thought "Always" was just overdone at the end. And, Beth had been with Alan ... and then he died. And, Harley was gone. Otalia was solid. Jonathan was going to do an okay job of parenting Sarah. Bill & Lizzie were going to be a pair. Buzz & Lillian were going to be a pair. Vanessa & Billy were going to be a pair.

Okay. I see what you mean.

What Are You Listening To?
I don't follow. For starters you didn't answer my question about Doug singing to Julie. After that, what empty board space was I gobbling? It seemed to me that I was following rules.

I miss GL so much & I have friends who were on the GL team & they hurt for the loss of it! They did everything to try to get Peter Simon back. They wanted him as a Bauer so bad. They even tried to get Courtney Simon, his wife, to help them get him back. They wanted him for the Sebastian story. And, to bring Maureen back, too, of course. But, someone, either Paul Rauch or John Conboy had pissed Peter off something royal and he just wasn't in the mode or the mood to give in, at least not till the very very end when he did. Glad we agree about Jeffrey!- Ratings from the 80's
No, VR, I am absolutely not a sick woman. Swede, it's a valid question. I'm not "trying anything like anyting".- Ratings from the 80's
I see people post people who have died often. Does that only apply to "Single Status Updates"?- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
I think he can sing both Broadway and opera. Robert Newman can sing Broadway, too. He did Annie and they say he WAS Warbucks. And, GL has had such great casting directors over the past 20 years! All the back to Betty Rea & forward to Ron Decina. We were so lucky that our casting director found Tom Pelphrey at a New Jersey college. When it comes to Marley & Vicky Love/Hudsons, I was always Wheeler, Heche, NOT Jensen. Besides Jensen cost the show so much & would not do both roles. I was watching an AW Reunion on SOAPnet recently. And, Kale Brown said that with Wheeler you could never tell who you were acting with. They would look down at her feet to tell. Marley stood pigeon-toed, with her feet pointed in toward each other. Vicky stood with her feet pointed out. Then they knew who was who. Wonder why they get stuck like that. Well, people were put on recurring or were asked to take 15% pay cuts in 2004, right? Only Zimmer refused to do so. Which was odd. I loved Otalia & Jammy & new show music & new show themes. I didn't like 4 deaths. I was sick of the doppelganger! They had no business bringing Bradley Cole back as Jeffrey O'Neill! The very last thing I liked about Prince Richard was that Cassie read the Mary Oliver poem "Wild Geese" at his funeral. Favorite poem!- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
Right, Khan, they didn't really write for Marj. She had sink or swim. If you ever see BC in one of her guest shots like L&O:SVU, she is strong in them! She's done several. One with Treat Williams. Agree with you about Joan Collins' 6 months. People at the show really took to her & so did the members of the soap press that I know. Marj was pretty good the last 3 days' with Alan's death. And, Grant was superb. Plus, the members of the cast who got Grant back, well, it was great that they did that! The show needed "King Phillip" back. And, they made that happen!- Ratings from the 80's

Preface, 2 I sat wide-eyed, at the feet of the brilliant author, Alex Haley, as he shared with us his fascinating story of his family's history. Alex shared that, as a child, he would listen from the doorway as his elders gathered on the porch reciting tales of the old African, Kunta Kinte, being taken from his village and brought to this strange land called America, where he was stripped of his dignity, culture, security, and humanness, and forced to live as a slave. Because we were preparing for Roots 2, Alex spoke mostly of Kunta's offspring, and how the African had left his mark of strength and perseverance. The later generations of family that followed would become educated, fight to vote, go off to college, build their own homes, have their own businesses, and one would even become one of the world's most prolific authors. There would be many great achievements from the Kinte lineage The old African would have been proud to know that all his suffering had not been in vain. Alex told us one of the most daunting, yet rewarding, journeys each of us could ever take, would be to travel back down the road our ancestors had paved for us. He implored us to question older members of our families to discover our own family histories, no matter what we unearthed. - Guiding Light Discussion Thread
