  1. And, 3 of that list are dead, right? Stefan, Lexie & Benji? Did Megan have some kind of story with a hair dryer & a full bathtub?
  2. Yes, Benji was deaf & he used ASL. Benji was adorable.
  3. So far, so good. I think they're off to a good start. I rilly rilly love the opening! The Stage Combat was FANtastic! Paul & Steve Burton both did so well & someone also did a great bit of extended choreography of the combat! Way to go, Beyond Salem! And, this after a good fight between Jan Spears & Belle last week on the mothership. Who knew we could do staged warfare?!!
  4. What do you think they can do with Ava? I want them to come up with something good for TB!
  5. Does the light look *blue* to you? I felt like the light kept looking *blue*. Sometimes I really think there's something wrong with the lighting & I wonder if they have a mismatch between equipment & bulbs or filament, etc. I do not know, so I am no help.
  6. Even Aunt Liz won her Daytime Emmy as a Leading Actress at one period of time.
  7. This is a recap and as such is full of SPOILERS Mon. 7-11-22
  8. When NBC changed its perspective toward AW, from liking it, to disliking it, one of the things they tried to do to kill AW, was to try to get rid of Victoria. That's a sort of backwards way of looking at it. I do know that Victoria was the star of the show. I do not know if Rachel was to AW what Jo was to SFT. That just seems wrong to me. I also know that when Jensen wanted to get as much out of the show as she could, she wanted to be the star of the show & she made no headway *at all* in stripping that moniker from VW. VW did a lot in the way of leadership at the show, the Fan Club Luncheon & what the actors did, Couplets, Love Letters, communicating with fans about fan activism, etc. She felt a sense of responsibility. I thought of both of those examples when thinking what to say. Ensemble, good word.
  9. - Intro with "Like sands through the hourglass," with 2 voices, 1 m, 1 f. Who is that?! I couldn't recognize the voices!
  10. Marcia McCabe, who everyone speaks so highly of, always, played a hit-person on AW, by the name of Bunny Eberhardt (spelling unsure) when Jake was thought to be dead. Vicky was a pall bearer. It doesn't seem right that that would have been before she was on SFT. I don't guess I can be sure but to question that is my sense of it. IMDb shows her on SFT 1980-1986 and on AW 1995. Of course, IMDb is not correct all the time. Offered FYI.
  11. Remember the 4th of July when they had the KBAY talent show?
  12. Wow, early morning droppage! Thnx for the Early Warning System. And, I love your switching it to Salem Beyond instead of Beyond Salem. I like your way better! Their way I keep listening for Beyonce'!
  13. Now there's an idea whose time has come! Adding pineapple to a Papa John's pizza is the best! 🤣
  14. I love AW. I love the Love/Hudson twins. I love how uncanny recasts were at being successful. Ellen is my favorite at playing both twins. It's really hard to say why because the reason is that she was absolutely the best one at doing it! When she was still playing Marley only I wondered if she was going to pull it off. You could even say I was dubious. And within the first 20 seconds when she showed herself as Vicky, WHOA! she knocked it right outta the park! Rhonda I don't score because she was there & as Vicky only & for such a short period of time. So, I appreciate that she did just fine. Anne Heche was brilliance. Again like EW she excelled at playing this dual role thing. But her Marley took a back seat to her Vicky, so she is my favorite at just being Vicky. And, her Marley wig had a life of its own & may not have been very friendly! Jensen, too, had a Marley who sat second chair in the orchestra, never first. And, Jensen played the role over the longest duration of time I believe & at some point the writers started writing Vicky *to* JB, not that she was more like Jensen as a person, just more like Jensen walking around as Vicky. Then when JB had some medical issue arise Cynthia Watros did a fine job standing in. And, just because this is something I thought of yesterday, their most often scene partner, Tommy Eplin, was not only a talented, good looking actor but a friend & good partner to all his leading ladies. [Clapping my hands!] Oh goodie, thnx so much. Curiosity eats at me & I was gonna have to go on a "Pammy" search tomorrow. You've given me a present of knowledge.
  15. He had great ideas! He always does. He gave them a clip of VW very angry & aggressive, just GREAT! I saw a picture today of Rachel's half-sister, not Nancy, but Pammy & I have absolutely NO recollection of any Pammy!
  16. Selena Wu opened her mouth & out poured, "The negative publicity you will receive for exploiting a grieving mother, ..." And, instantly, Haven stopped her diatribe against Deception & said something like "Of course." through gritted teeth. Selena Wu rocks! And, Cynthia Watros can cry & weep & wail & gasp for breath with tears everywhere, like the best of them. I thought it was just like Nina to make it all about her. And, Sonny took a new step on the romantic emotional courtship when he said, "You won't ever have to be alone. I will be with you." I heard that Morgan Fairchild was hand-picked for the role. Figures as she was perfect! She called everyone either "Honey" or "Oh, Honey" or Yes, Honey". That way she can get your attention without having to learn your name. 😂
  17. Now that could definitely create a dangerous vortex!
  18. It was as a result of the AWHP creator Eddie Drueding and some other AW fans that the show had enough clips to do this anniversary show! P&G's own tapes suffered because of the practice of "wiping".
  19. I don't know a lot about his writing. I know that I like the show right now without gimmicks
  20. I thought Liz looked really weird after she checked herself out of the hospital. And, I didn't think it was Liz who threw that puzzle.
  21. In its entry in THE SOAP OPERA ENCYCLOPEDIA ©1987 Schemering, there's nothing about writers. But, it is the last US daytime soap that Gloria Monty directs. When it was canceled for poor ratings in 1972, Monty moved to directing made for TV movies. Then in 1978 Fred Silverman promoted her to Executive Producer & tasked her with fixing the ratings anemic ABC 3 pm soap General Hospital. She applied techniques from the made for TV movies, which some have called B movies, and she took features from Bright Promise for her changed GH, including a youthful cast, storylines that jumped out of the headlines and psycho-sexual melodrama without psychiatric chatter. Monty met with success in applying her changes & these elements were likely a part of that. She also took 3 actors with her from Bright Promise: Susan Brown, David Lewis and Anthony Geary. In the 1971-1972 season there were 17 soaps competing with each other and Bright Promise fell next to the last in the rankings. It was on the air just 3 years. Probably the "borrowed" elements from it for "saving GH" were the most significant thing about it. 16. Bright Promise 6.1 (Final Season; ended March 31, 1972) 17. All My Children 5.7 Added at Edit: Anne Jeffreys on IMDb. I thought she was on Topper & GH & PC & that was all! I was just shocked at the amazing number of credits she has including Falcon Crest & Bright Promise. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0420331/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
  22. That's exactly what I felt about that 6 months of MM at AW. I began with optimism, was glad he chose to work at the studio & to spend time with actors, etc. but the results just didn't gel & none of it felt like home. Yet it was interesting. And, if 13 Bourbon St. had premiered, I probably would have been someone who was checking it out!
  23. I read an article about this where the actor was going to explain to us what happened where he had sex with his son Spencer's girlfriend. He said he really wants to be a good father to Spencer but he just keeps screwing up. (He let his son think he was dead for 2 years so they have some things they need to work through.) He said he's been drinking too much. He said he's been thinking about doing himself in. Yeah, full stop on that. Nik has been considering suicide. Oh yeah, I got out of order with this, slip it in before, he is very concerned that his marriage is over & he can't do anything to fix it. (No, Ava is not at the brink of divorce with him!) And, just as there he was at this precarious precipice, Esme came in & somehow just saved his life. (Apparently that was the sex part, the saving factor.) Now, I must share with you that it was some of the most pitiful sex I've ever seen! Ewww. Pasty, white looking people who were barely out of their clothes & were as awkward together as two people can be. Every flashback to it is a need to cover my eyes! MY EYES! It's like sticking forks in them. Nik & Esme & the life-saving if inelegant boink. You heard it here first, folks!
  24. OMHolyG Jesus H. Christ I feel for NLG HUGE! This makes me sick.
