I learned something about one of the DOOL Writing Reels from an interview Michael Fairman did with Ron about Beyond Salem. One of the writers on that winning team was Betsy Snyder, RIP. After hearing about her & this I went & wrote up her whole career & posted it so you should be able to find it & read it if you're interested. She was one fantastic lady, clearly, and a fine fine writer. Worked on tons of shows over the years. Was 60, died last Nov. 2021, of cancer & then another cancer under the first. She even died pretty quickly. She did the breakdown writing for one whole episode that was submitted by DOOL for Writing. She wrote the whole outline of the episode. It was when the Devil 2.0 was just getting started. (I hated that story but a good script is a good script.) Doug was in Marlena's office being evaluated in case he was getting Alzheimer's because of strange things he'd been saying & doing. In reality the devil was in Doug & wanted to use Doug as a vehicle to JUMP over into Marlena. The show was amazing. Bill Hayes at his advanced age was wonderful! The devil tricked Marlena into taking him into her by playing on how much she cared about this dear friend & patient. So, I have spent all this time fretting that DOOL won Writing Awards, the only awards for soap writing that there are, and now I can replay that show in my head & know that in fact it was excellence in writing. I looked in YouTube for a full episode but I didn't find one. There are several short clips of Doug & Marlena from that day.

That is so funny! I wasn't watching during any of that. Thnx for telling the full anecdote. I get a real kick out of it. Writers at the shows are so wicked when it comes to using names creatively!! What I'd like to know is if you really see ugly suits like that for sale?

Okay, I'll satisfy your curiosity. I'm having a serious health crisis at the moment. I'm in terrible pain all the time. I'm having to take strong pain pills which make me stupid. And, I've done like 5 screw-ups in 2 weeks as a result of it! And, that just makes me madder than a wet hen at myself. This will get better & I will get past this. Do your damn*est. I certainly can't stop you.

Okay, but no harm is done by the fact that I & one other poster here described Marcia McCabe's role on AW as a hit-person.

And, is anyone but me now officially put off by having too much Steve Burton?!! It's interesting that when Ron was trying to get KA to take a few months off, supposedly he told her he'd give her a great storyline with a Navy Seal when she came back.

Recently Y&R did a show honoring Eileen & Beth Maitland who were both having anniversaries of how long they'd been with the show. Someone uploaded a copy of the video to dailymotion but before they did they lowered the audio to a deeper more masculine pitch. Result: the women sound like drag queens. I immediately thought about those old rumors. 🤫

Okay. Ron was very clear that Bo would be in heaven for this whole show. All that is needed is for Ron to be lying. You're right. It's simple.

So, this is speculation. This is not Spoiler. Apparently it's out there in some of the promo material that Bo & Hope are reunited. From a Ron interview, it seems that there is another major death in the works. KA has been unhappy on the show but has not wanted Hope to be recast with someone else playing her. What if Bo & Hope are reunited ... in heaven?

I bet they get the best prices. Is Loretta Devine an award winner? She seemed out of place to me. And, isn't it just really inconsiderate for Sami & Lucas to wed today when we're all so busy?! Hope you can shake it off! 😂 Yeah, I thought Joey is a nice looking lad. Good voice, too. Your fiance' has my sympathies. Sitting through their stories with our loved ones can be trying, I believe. My favorite line of the day was when Steve asked John WHAT is that in your hair?! Just the way John said GLITTER brooked NO teasing, like Glitter, wanna make something of it?! 🤣

I loved it when Steve remarked that Joey looked different. I like those kinds of in-jokes. Sorry you don't.

Well, now that you say that, I'm not sure. They are supposed to be representative of the bedroom communities around Cincinnatti, home of P&G. But that again comes back to the same spot. I am betting right now, even thought this is off the top of my head, that it's an error & it should be removed from the list. This is interesting. In fan lore things come up sometimes that are just simple mistakes that got in somehow & it takes awhile before someone notices it & fixes it. Thnx for bringing this up. I'm glad I posted about Irna's universe today. It's always a good day to catch a glitch!

Before 1982 Bay City was anywhere or nowhere. It just was never stated. Then, in 1982 someone decided to place it & they put it outside of Chicago, in Ilinois just like all the other towns in Irna Phillip universe - Oakdale, Springfield, Henderson, Somerset, I'm blank, but there are a few more.

Oh, classic! The best of the best! I could watch & re-watch EW & AH & Tatiana & I STILL cannot figure out how 5 of the clones danced together unless it was either magic or voodoo.

So, when Steve asked John, ... "WHAT is in your hair?!" I loved the way in which John said, "GLITTER!" like he didn't intend to take any kidding about having glitter in his hair! No way.
