  1. Back when I was taking something, Percocet I think, an opioid I'm sure, they did what they were supposed to do & stopped the excruciating pain in my legs but they made my brain stupid. I couldn't think. I hated them.
  2. Agree! Just think of all the Bill Bell written stories there are in Season 1, 3, 4, etc.!
  3. I was listening to the Soap Opera Digest podcast where Cady McClain was guest. She was talking about Ray McDonnell & how long he had been in the business & what a dry wit he had & said that out of the blue he would say just a few words & have Michael. E. Knight doubled over in laughter on the floor! Apparently he could break Tad's character regularly. She segued from that to how much classic soap is out there & wouldn't it be great to have it streaming?! Stephanie then said that they were still hopeful that Peacock would stream DOOL's library of episodes but that there was one problem. I leaned forward the better to hear what this was going to be. A complete surprise to me, that the second season is missing, that they lost the whole thing to a fire. Did not know that. Interesting. Of course, the take away is Big Picture, how remarkable it is that they have ALL but one season, which was lost to a fire. Some would say a real blessing. Cady also said that she expects to see something really BIG out of Marci!
  4. Yesterday was a really hard day of TV. So, you're just now getting to ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK? Loved that show. What season are you watching? If I remember correctly, one of its creators was one of the creators of MEN IN TREES, which I loved, also.
  5. I'm just pleased with Cady & with the way that bottle of pills seems to be her last friend. I can let my imagination take me to where this began awhile back & we just hadn't seen Jenn to know that. Ever since we did start to see her, she's been consistent. Wholeheartedly agree about Clyde's motive. That he wanted EJ to find a strangled Belle & to be upset about it, is crazy. Like he wanted to make EJ have a bad mood. Really? Why not slash all 4 of his tires?! Stupid.
  6. And, Nancy said she was needy, too, yep, she was having a day of revelations! Leo, I've wanted him gone so long I can't remember if I ever wanted him to stay!
  7. Well, it's Tuesday morning, Sept. 27, 2022 & I just finished watching today's DOOL episode, which for all intents & purposes is a continuation of yesterday. I must say that this was an interesting way for them to resolve this murder mystery. Let's start with an old way that we used to start to relate a day's doings. The Cast of Characters: Jenn, Jenn's pills, Ghost Abby was only seen by Jenn & she never spoke; Jack, Leo, Gwen; Bonnie, Nancy; Chad, Clyde; Shawn, Belle; Clyde & Abby both in flashback; EJ. We began with the camera on a picture of Abby & then widen out till we can see that Jenn has her pills in her hand but is looking at the picture, lovingly, and she's wiping her eyes so we know she's been crying. She takes a pill & talks about how she & Abigail (as if she were there) talked so much in Boston & how it helped to think how they would get by without Laura. Then, she asks who she is going to talk to about how much she misses Abigail. Jack comes in. He had left to go to the paper but had gone to the police station instead. He said he just had to go talk to Leo. He said that after talking to him, he thinks Gwen is right, that Leo did not do it. This upsets Jenn who talks a bit about how many times they've been through this, been assured they had the killer & then it not being that person at all. She's frustrated. Jack says he's got a gut feeling about it. We see Leo in his cell, raking his metal cup against the cell & singing some version of Salem Cop Shop Blues. It sure seems early in the morning to be having visitation at the jail! When Gwen gets there, right off she tells Leo that it was Clyde! That his alibi was bogus & the the police have a warrant for his arrest but so far they can't find him. Leo works through being incredulous that this could be so! We cut to Victor's where Nancy comes in, is crying off & on, and Bonnie is there receptive to her. She says Clyde never showed up for their wedding but that the police did show up & were looking for him to arrest him. Bonnie got the idea from her that Clyde had been the one to stab Sonny. Nancy said, no, it was worse than that, that Clyde had murdered Abigail. She said she argued & argued with them that her Clyde would not do that. Finally she seems to believe it. She cries harder. Bonnie consoles her. She says all she wanted was a man to love her & all Clyde wanted was a woman to vouch for where he'd been. And, she was just needy enough to do that. Chad is impatient & unhappy & really just wants to shoot Clyde. But, he insists Clyde continue to tell him what happened that night. Clyde tries to tell him he really doesn't want to hear this but Chad is sure he does. So, Clyde is in the DiMera mansion & he's wearing gloves & he has some semblance of a plan. He's mad at EJ who he told if he spoke to anyone about this that Clyde would take it out on his family. So we're back to that threat again. Clyde has decided he wants to find that loud mouth attorney & strangle her to death & leave her body for EJ to find. Apparently this would be very satisfying to Clyde, that EJ would walk up on this scene. (Personally, I think this is a very strange motive for murder.) Finally, Clyde is in the hall & Abby comes out of her bedroom & practically stumbles over him. "What are YOU doing here?" Clyde thinks fast for a lie to tell. He's there to talk to her husband. He had pitched an idea to EJ who had not paid attention & now he thought Chad was smarter & he should talk to him. Abby was incredulous that he would be in the sleeping quarters at this hour of the night because he had a business idea to discuss with Chad, who was not there, anyway. At this point Clyde started in on something about Abby when they were younger & his son Ben & a baby. And, she said that he had beaten Ben within an inch of his life when Ben was growing up. And, he said she was cheating on Ben but telling Ben the baby was his, etc. They moved into the bedroom & Clyde saw the knife lying out. He went right for it & then more aggressively went toward Abby, who tried to defend herself. They end up in a clutch like they were wrestling & suddenly this look came over Abby's face & eyes & you knew that he had stabbed her in that instant. She fell away from him & rolled on the bed. A shot rang out & we looked over to the other side of the room & there was EJ holding a handgun out.
  8. OMG! The sense of power! I won't lead you wrong! Even through days like today, with everyone everywhere & all spitting out dialog as fast as they can.
  9. CORRECTION: NBC has reportedly lost nearly 750,000 viewers since moving the long-running soap opera #DaysOfOurLives to Peacock: https://trib.al/w6r0p4i #DAYS ( I just got that out of twitter & pasted it in as it was easier than trying to find a post to quote it from.) Okay, so we have no way of knowing what kind of loss they expected. Given the backlash I feel sure that they were prepared to see a loss. Does anyone dispute that? Personally I don't think it's a sign we should all scream & run around in circles. We knew this would be an uphill battle. If we did, then sure as shoot they did!
  10. I imagine so. I would guess that one day they were taping for NBC & the next day they were taping for Peacock. The huge elephant in the room is that they're 7 months out. 6 months in the can & one month in the writing that is totally vetted & rewritten from notes. In other words, unless they do something to change it, February.
  11. Well, some time in there they surely did seem to treat OLTL one way, AMC another way & GH yet a third way instead of treating them as a whole as had been done in the past. Relative to Frons end, when was Ann's end? Well, this part here, it does echo her past work at other shows, where she'd reach a point where she no longer had real power & it would just be a matter of weeks till she'd be fired outright. And also that she would've done something or somethings plural to deserve it. I'm not trying to stomp on your excellent examination of JFP toward the end here, it just jumped out at me & resonated with other "near the ends".
  12. If I recall correctly it was some minor surgical procedure. I wasn't annoyed. JB wouldn't have been out if there hadn't been a real need. I'm annoyed now, however, because this doesn't belong here. Geeze Louise. I beg your pardon, everyone.
  13. Oh, no! Not Martin & Val! I just watched today's show & came online specifically to post that they made us wait & wait & wait some more for Val & Anna but that it was worth it & the actors & the director of the scene deserve kudos! It was beautiful & hot & I hope we see more of it, regularly!
  14. I was utterly astounded that Clyde just sort of laconically rattled off details as if he was describing the supper special. I can only guess that a part of him had been thinking he was gonna get caught. And, I don't have any idea what would be good for Nancy!
  15. And the next hard question goes begging for an answer: why the hell did JFP stay so long?! She did not have a pattern of staying long but she sure did at GH. Maybe because she was used to someone firing her. And no one did.
  16. YES! That is exactly the kind of day it was at DAYS!
  17. At some point Clyde planted a bug at EJ's & later collected it & heard his conversation with Belle. So, he knew he did not have undying fear & respect from Belle or from EJ. And the next thing I knew, Nancy was crying & had figured out that Clyde was a murderer. But, the show ended so we have to wait, again, till tomorrow. As of end of today, no one has. Jennifer Rose has not been sighted at all today.
  18. Meanwhile we see Rafe & Jada periodically. They are armed & have an APB out for Clyde & are trying to out-think him to be where he's going before he gets there. At the pub, nope, not there, not going to be there. Day off or something. Did they go to Victor's ? Gosh. What a terrible day in the neighborhood.
  19. 🤣🤣🤣 Yes, and today he was both spitting & yelling! Bonnie & Justin are on opposite sides today where Justin is completely against Nancy saddling herself with Clyde & Bonnie is all wrapped up in having played match maker to get Clyde & Nancy together! She'd consoled Nancy & given Nancy a makeover & gotten Nancy signed up on this dating app. When Justin comes back in the room with news that sounds bad for Clyde's freedom & future, Nancy rescinds her invitation to them to the wedding & heads out.
  20. I'm not sure I could even explain what I just saw. As Bonnie is helping Nancy get ready to be a City Hall bride, Justin is trying to broker a peace between Alex & Sonny who have had some kind of falling out over Titan. Meanwhile he fills us in on a time in the past when Clyde was angry at Victor & attached Sonny because of it. Chad has Stefano's handgun out of the safe & is looking for Clyde. He finds him & jams the gun in his ribs & forces him to go to Abby's grave in the cemetery & screams at him to explain why he killed Abby. Unbelieavable, Clyde says he wasn't supposed to kill her that he was after Belle!
  21. Oh, I don't know. I found it kind of interesting. Everyone was in high gear, spitting out dialogue as if their very lives depended on it. 1st crucial point: Jada figured out that the timestamps on the surveillance video that had cleared Clyde had actually been tampered with so, guess what, they do not prove squat! No idea how Clyde managed that since he was locked up. We'll leave that as Mystery #1. Huh? Meanwhile everyone has a point of view & an opinion. Chloe is fit to be tied that her mother is about to make the mistake of a lifetime but she can't convince either Brady or her dad to help her dissuade Nancy.
  22. And the recorded complaints of HWs specifically about network interference & meddling go well back to Irna & to Doris Hursley, etc.
  23. My blogs live on a Wordpress site & periodically they send me an email because someone has shown an interest in some blog. At the same time they send me some of that person's blogs in case I might be interested in them. I found one interesting & thought some of you might, too. Albert Ray Escapay liked your post Blog 249 Above-The-Title Billing In Soap Operas. You might want to go see what they're up to! Perhaps you will like their blog as much as they liked yours.
