  1. So, Toups told me that he's made me official if I wanna do recaps & I'm finding that I enjoy it so I will continue. It's kinda like if I like the show I like it more & if I dislike the show, well, I'm downright disgusted with it! So, on with the show, DOOL Th. 10-6 Chanel sees Johnny on the square & thinks he's homeless & she gets very wound up & begins to say how she will talk some sense into Allie & they'll be able to take him in, etc. EJ is guzzling whiskey & frowning at his phone. (I think it's really early for him & Stefan to be drinking liquor.) Ava is sitting in the pedestrian chair in Gabi's office. They look like it's the most natural pose in the world. Maybe Gabi & Ava should be girlfriends! They talk.
  2. Her mother, Elizabeth Harrower, not only wrote for the show, but played the old lady (Charlotte Ramsey) who pretended to be Jill's mother. Yeah, SSH's mother is in some ways as famous as her daughter. Here's my question to you guys, is there anything in particular I could look for in the book & type up for y'all? I think what comes up next after I stopped is back at DOOL & is when they wanted to kill Doug Off. I have no idea if the narrative goes backkto the Bell shop or not. It's just been too long since I read it.
  3. Yeah, I could really get behind something breaking up Michael & Willow & with some transition a new result coming about that would put Willow with TJ. I don't like that she thinks she is not strong enough to fight Michael over how to handle her health but she thinks she is strong enough to mount a superwoman campaign where she'd actually be endangering both herself & the baby! If she really wants to do this thing her own way, well, she needs to be on a modified work schedule. And, I didn't like Nina seeing that clutch between TJ & WIllow. I find I do not know what Nina might do with that information. I did love hearing "Nurse Ball Next Year"! Finally I'm getting into Carl's story. I just thought, hey, just get involved & move your family member's remains some place nice now. But, it seems Carly's feelings are all tangled up in a lot of guilt & history. Maybe she cannot feel good if she doesn't try to fight this. Did they say they had had imminent domain declared? I hated having Esme in this huge cape with hood, lurking just out of sight every where as if she wouldn't be noticed! But, Hello, Daddy, did you miss me? That was good. I do hope that Ryan has a father's heart on this matter.
  4. The pair of them, Wilder & Cameron, to me were like place holders, like the show was trying enough to have two warm bodies, sure, but they weren't really invested in J&J and wonder if that wasn't true. Catching up on the news bts is gag-worthy.
  5. She could've been Molly if Molly hadn't been busy being Molly. I don't think we see enough of Molly. She just disappears into the doors of justice. But, then, we do not see enough of a fair amount of people while we see MORE than enough of others. This is not news. And Linda Purl's accent has been the second accent this year to actually make my ears hurt. Of course the other one was on DOOL & I cannot count it here, so never mind.
  6. Thank you, Michael! Live & Learn. Now I feel even skeezier about the fact that Sebastian forced a kiss on Holly when he had her in a cell. That is sad & disgusting news but I'd rather know than not.
  7. Okay, Errol, thanks for saying so. Seriously I just wanna be a good citizen here.
  8. I absolutely, positively do NOT have any history creating chaos. That is simply not true. People are saying untrue things about me & I have no interest in this. I'm not saying things about other people. And, I wish it would cease.
  9. Are you talking about the actor who played Sebastian in, like, the 3rd to last year of GL? I knew him. I thought he was a nice guy, very talented & a very serious well-prepared actor. If you're talking about him I guess I'm about to have a big surprise. And what Jack are y'all talking about? Surely not Mark Valley.
  10. It's true that since the 12th I have posted some recaps, which to me are just show commentary, but today's the first I've known of people not wanting them posted & I certainly won't be posting any now that I see so many new faces here in this thread objecting to them. I made a single post about Morgan Fairchild's many character names. And I have been posting every day about the 2 shows I watch. I took part in some conversations about past ratings & about past network expansion in threads that were about those things & I typed up some out of the Hayes autobiography for people in the Y&R - Old Articles thread because they were wondering if SSH had said anything about that stuff.
  11. If I could choose a Morgan Fairchild project to see all over again, my first choice would be to see her as Racine in PAPER DOLLS. No last name, just Racine. She has the finest collection of character names as anyone! Lady Pretensia, Muffy Snootwell, Sister Fabrijana Zovko, THE CITY's top bitch Sydney Chase, Cmdr. Sigrid Ivorsletter, Irmguard Hoelz, Valerie St. Vincent, Satin Chow, Magenta Hart, Rayshu Shay, Burdetta Halloran, the aforementioned Racine, Constance Weldon Semple Carlyle, Gwendolyne Gold, Courtney Vandermint, on GH in 2022 a real bitch Haven de Havilland, Vivienne St. Charmaine, DOOL's Angelica Deveraux, Betheny Baxter, Bianca Cliverton, Big Kimberly, Dr. Honey Woodcomb, Claire Lochton, and last Cossima Blair Babylonio.
  12. *tone deaf* *racist* *shill* *spam* *champion* I had no idea things were so bad. You've got your work cut out for you! Thank god you're trying to safeguard the board. Everyone must bow down & praise you.
  13. No, it was just strange. No apparent reason for her to stop by the dreadfully ill person in the hospital!
  14. Really! I mean Roark was channeling two Mikes back to something Wesley Eure experienced!
  15. I ran through that as fast as my little legs would carry me. That is the least detailed recap I've ever written. It was just unpleasant to be thinking about it. ARGH. Cringeworthy is a perfect term.
  16. At the end of yesterday, Mike & Nancy were left standing, just staring at each other. Now Mike says, to Nancy: I'm here for Jennifer. I really don't have time for old enemies. (I'm going to need a refresher from someone about history between Mike, Nancy & Craig! Was this about competition for the head of the hospital?) Jack: I've got everything packed, all our luggage & our tablets, etc. Do you want to check it over to see if I have everything? Jenn: Why? Jack: I want to go with you. Jenn: No, I don't want you to. I'll be busy with things I have to start to work on. You'll have to find something to do. Let's just keep it like this. Jack is taken aback. But: Alright, if that's the way you want to do it. Today's cast: Nancy, Mike, Jack, Jenn, Brady, Rachel, Chloe, John, Marlena, Rex, Kristen, Leo, Craig, Gwen, Julie & Doug offstage. I'd like to just say that this sums up my feelings almost to a tee about Julie. Possibly a little more sentimental from me since I began watching DOOL with a massive teen fangrrl's crush on Julie. I've such a pro-Julie bias that I always am glad to see her, even though, no, of course, I don't enjoy seeing her as a shrew! The last good Julie we had, if you ask me, was the close familial love conversation with Jennifer Rose last week. At least there was one good scene for last week! DOOL Wed., 10-5-22 cont'd. Brady comes in where ever it is that he & Chloe cohabitate, with Rachel, who surely did seem like a brat today. Chloe has high tea ready. Rachel doesn't want to take tea with Chloe there! John tells Rex that Doc is losing her appetite & he's gonna get her a milk shake. (I am thinking more & more about Covid-19 with this story's details. With Covid people lose their appetite.) John then goes on to tell Rex that he & Steve are going to try to find the rare orchid. Rex tells him to cancel his flight because the rare orchid does not exist anymore. Marlena can barely keep her eyes open & Kristen slips into her room, quietly. Marlena is startled. Of all things Kristen says she is there to ask Marlena for a favor. She wants her to use her influence with John to get Kristen a chance to see Rachel. If Marlena could keep her eyes open, they might widen at the thought of Kristen wanting this kind & level of favor of her!!! To make her reply she goes over what the judge decided about full custody of Rachel. Meanwhile Craig & Leo run into each other. Leo jokes that he couldn’t find a greeting card appropriate to the occasion. Craig says he thought they were right beside the gold-digger cards. They're very near the pub, so, and I am amazed at this, they go in & sit at a table together & have drinks! Craig even pays! Back to Mike & Nancy. He says he was at Abigail's grave & that led him to think about Clyde which led him to think about her & about Craig & Lady Macbeth. (I'm lost again.) John had blurted out in court that Marlena might be dying. And, that in the past Roman had suffered but survived through a serum that was made from this rare orchid & now the information suggests that the orchid is no longer in existence. Jenn tells Jack that Gwen needs him to be here in town. They tell each other that they love each other & then that they know! Mike gets Nancy's number & they agree that they might meet somewhere in NY for drinks. He heads for Jenn & they leave, headed to rehab in NY. The last minute of show is nothing but Kristen's face, in the frame.
  17. Thank you for the exchange of information. I have copied this into my files. At some point maybe one of us is going to make a new breakthrough on this information. At any rate there's nothing to stop us from trying. Indefatigable!
  18. Colgate-Palmolive was the only thing I could think of, where they didn't seem to fit. And, that studio space was an issue for them is of note because Agnes Nixon said she would never expand & while she was at it she told Lemay she thought he'd gone crazy, literally lost his mind, that's how against expansion she was. What ABC did was apply a carrot, a big carrot, more studio space, a significant increase in it & she came right over to the expansion side!
  19. Yes, and thank goodness they finally paused to think!! Oh, boy, was that ever needed! Len Bolen, yes, was the woman they used to implement activities with the shows. Thnks. Have not had even a minute to look up her last name. She was clear that it would cost more than double to do (an hour) but that they would "somehow" make up that amount because they would have so much more in ad revenues. After they had been doing an hour not very long at all, Pete Lemay began to find flaws in many areas of production & in results. I have numerous quotes from him, at any point that someone is interested. He was initially very enthused & wanted to write 7-8 minute scenes but his feelings about it went "that-away" as they ended up just doing more 2-3 minute scenes, etc.
  20. None of the information I've been able to find refers to a second standalone episode for the DOC or for any discussion of 90 minutes for DOOL. Elana Levine's book is very comprehensive about the expansion but has nothing in it about the 90 minute experiment. I will say that NBC was very intent on their plans, as they developed them & that they seemed foolhardy in the chances they were willing to take. My favorite quote is that (paraphrasing now) the NBC programmers went to a 90 minute show with AW because they couldn't think of anything better to do differently. I'm always interested in additional info on this subject. Listening to the audio interview of Pete is well worth the hour it takes. WOST Interviewer who caught him at an awards show in 2006. He is who named Fred Silverman. That can be found on YouTube.
  21. A Story of Love by Bill Hayes & Susan Seaforth Hayes Stars of Days of Our Lives Like Sands Through the Hourglass P. 206 Garden Varieties Q. Unexpectedly Bill Bell put me on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, playing a powerful fashion maven in sharp shoulder pads. Joanna was mother to adorable Tracey Bregman, an actress who began in soaps on DAYS when I was younger and more charming. My mother was writing on Y&R. then and scripted many of our contentious mother-daughter scenes. It all sounded like echoes of 1353, but this time we were getting paid for the backchat. I loved Bell for giving me a contact on his stellar show. Ed Scott, the producer, was great, the part was fun and glamourous, and I could even steal moments to shop for big crystal earrings at the Beverly Center after work. R. Two years later Bell needed to end the character. I begged him for a little longer run and we cut the appearance guarantee. Still the ax fell one day, and a farewell cake was ordered with my name on it. This parting was not so catastrophic as my DAYS good-bye but I could not face that cake. Ed Scott understood & slipped me a Tiffany pillbox with a Y&R logo. I'm told Bill Bell came for the cake-cutting and said many nice things about me. Okay, let me stop here & ask, "Is this anything that informs what you're talking about?
  22. Exactly! And we know he is very fluid & relaxed in front of a camera both from DOOL & Battlestar Galactica! I feel like Margaret Mead finding a remote village!
  23. I dearly love to see my FB Memories. This shows me what I was saying about DOOL a year ago. October 4, 2021 I cannot abide the devil in Salem. I just sit here & grind my teeth. Thank goodness GH is actually good right now.
