@janea4oldput up a clip of Brad at Britt's memorial yesterday here for me. You might catch it. Most of the memorial was spent in high stakes family drama between Nik, Laura & Spencer, in the chapel after everyone else had gone to see Britt's picture up on the wall of fame. Scenes there of the wall of fame. Scene before the Memorial of Liesl with Scott, depressed in Britt's totally empty office. Liesl is suffering. Brad, too. Joss bemoaned the fact that Britt saved her life but she couldn't go. Geeze.

The reason that I thought I was looking in a good place was because Reva had just found her long-lost sister, Cassie, and they had just gotten custody of Tammy back from Annie & Alan, so it seemed like a good spot for animosity. And, I made a typo in the date. It was Thanksgiving time period 1997 not 1977.

As it happens I like Parry. But, to the point, I used to like Micheal Easton & I believe at this point on GH he is really ruining his career. I don't think that FrankV will fire him. I wish that he would quit. It's rather sad to see.

Here's the rub. It wasn't really Marley. It was Vicky impersonating Marley who was unavailable. And, Vicky had been told by Marley that Jake did NOT rape her. Cass knew the truth. So, Vicky, pretending to be Marley, found out as she was testifying. Right after that court session, Vicky who had been hiding her feelings, went into the women's restroom & physically destroyed the place in her anger. All those scenes are famous & on Anne Heche's emmy reel. The physical destruction in the restroom is amazing!

Absolutely. I think restricting itself to online viewers only is an automatic limitation. But, it is possible to gather data on online viewers where there's no tools for a barometer of, say, the real world "water cooler". And streaming has said all along that the buzz that is created by shows is something that they are interested in, so there is an element of consistency. I wish, as do many, that we had more & better metrics available, but we simply do not.

I would suggest that you enjoy getting down the details of a thorny soap "plod", nailing them down, and that you're good at it. Naturally people enjoy doing things they're good at! 🫵🫰😂🔊NOW HEAR THIS! The Jane is in the details!

You know I don't mean to tell you how to do your business. You're the acknowledged expert when it comes to being a bully, calling names, trolling aggressive behavior toward other posters, but you really seem to be slipping, losing your grip maybe. No, of course, DOOL is not on NBC. However, it is listed in comparison with other NBC shows in the data as shown. I posted the address. You can see it there for yourself. These metrics are not as good as good old-fashioned Nielsen ratings used to be to us but they do give us some ideas about where things stand. B&B never breaks through the total number of shows they consider, so they never show up in these metrics. They beat us up in international waters, so to speak, but they do not come out to play here. Otherwise, soaps are doing okay & a rising tide lifts all boats. DOOL is consistently the #1 or #2 show for peacock & that's great for us & we want to hold that position. GH is always the #1 soap & we battle it out with Y&R for which is the #2 slot. They win it more than we do. Rather than being ratings, which do not apply to streaming, this calls itself "Metrics of online audience engagement" which is also something you can see for yourself should you look at the website.

Okay, first black woman on a soap, I aksed someone who I thought knew & he did: The first black woman on a soap played a maid to the Barron family on Search for Tomorrow. I have a 1953 episode with her in it. Unfortunately she’s not credited and I can’t find any info. I’ll try on Monday to post a snippet or screenshot. So, does that sound like it was this woman?

I thought Liesl was fine. Scotty was adequate. Only Brad was really special. Getting alone, not having his brown paper bag be conspicuous, the two spoons & eating a little bit of the ice cream. And, then I LOVE how mad he is. It is so real. My BFF, since 1974, who I talked to on the phone every single day, died last year. The Omicron variant stole her away. And what I felt was anger. I was so mad, for so long!

GH, just actresses: Jane Elliot, which is happening. Denise Alexander, which surely can happen & Emma Samms, which no idea if it could.

I was really disgusted that Liz confessed everything to him. I'm starting to have to use MAKES NO SENSE on GH as well as on DOOL.

I still think they may write Nik out. Maybe he will flee to a country without an extradition treaty. But, AdamH being competent & popular gives them time to decide permanently at their leisure. Well, not leisure, but regular work schedule, And, it gives AdamH a chance to try out for the role like no other "audition"! Yesterday he was on the money!

You make good points! All of them could be valid. But, we will only see one of them play out. It's interesting that she's still in the credits. I love TB! And, I hated all the time I felt they were wasting her. I have this dream that someone casts Sarah Joy Brown & Tamara Braun as twins & writes them into strong woman story with incredible conflicts! SJB tweets that she is all for it. TB doesn't tweet.

Here's how I keep my sanity & watch RonC's Salem every weekday. I have this big door, mental image, and everything that I can say, MAKES NO SENSE, I stuff behind that door. When I open the door I have to be fast since there's SO MUCH STUFF in it! You're more than welcome to share in the general MAKES NO SENSE fan philosophy. I've stopped grinding my teeth, so it's working for me.

Now, I personally have a slightly different take on this. Ava was hallucinating Dead Charlie or Ghost Charlie whatever we call "it" an extreme amount of time. I'd wager about 75-80% of her days she was seeing & hearing her evil tortured dead son taunting her & almost daring her to do things. I think Ava had a true psychotic break. And, if she did, then she wasn't carrying out acts she just wanted some justification for. No, she was really mentally unbalanced. She belongs in long-term psychiatric lock-up. And, Tripp needs to understand that what a dutiful son does now is leave her the heck alone. I don't think she had independent will to carry out those actions. At least that's what I think Tamara was playing. YMMV, of course. Here's what I call the patented Tamara Braun smirk.

I read that he's concentrating on 1989-90. Vicky bought a house in 1989 & there's lots of times where she has conversations with Bridget, which are treasures! And, then, she & Ryan (PMV) were very much in the early stages of full out love. It's kind of a new space for Vicky to live & a new place for her persona to be & if I recall correctly it's a real good time!! From conversation last night, here's a picture of Felicia with Zane.
