  1. I completely agree. It's sad in many ways. Sad that we viewers are so desperate for an identifiable storyline, that we will gush at any bone they throw us. That interview was weird! I thought Devin was okay with the questions. I mean he had to go where JG led. Is he always weird in interviews? And I cannot imagine getting a year's worth of stories from something that began so gangbusters. And it is crazy that the shows still "do Sweeps" when as far as Neilsen goes, Sweeps no longer exist. But, the shows continue to time things on a Sweeps calendar & this story began at a weird time, the end of the biggest Sweeps period.
  2. I don't think anyone misunderstands. I think everyone knows when it is coming out of caring.
  3. And blazers are a thing today. So the show would be able to get plenty & in different colors, etc. And, the Costume guy would love that since like I said Genie just likes her black blazer & Richard at DAYS gets to have all the fun with Dee & her many (blazer) colors. GH would love to put Maxie in many blazers!! This could be a fan campaign. https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=kirsten storms https://www.instagram.com/kirstenstorms/ @Kirsten_Storms on UglyX protected acct.
  4. In looking at Bing Images featured for today I discovered that today is Antarctica Day. For a huge gob of images of the place go here https://shp.lol/PO8
  5. Rabbit! Today is Bette Midler's birthday, born in 1945, she has been awarded 3 Grammys, 4 Golden Globes, 3 Emmys and a special Tony for her contribution to Broadway (1974). Happy Birthday to the Divine Miss M!
  6. I'm reading 3 books which is something I like to do. First, Susan Lucci's memoir All Of Me, about 60% done. Most of it I have found quite compelling. But some passages I don't care about & find them boring. I love this book for the quotes on Brian Frons. Famously she said he is a mixture of arrogance & stupidity. Next is Leslie Brody's biography Sometimes You Have to Lie: The Life & Times of Louise Fitzhugh. Fitzhugh was from Memphis, a lesbian who moved to NYC. She wrote the Harriet the Spy books. And she was a contemporary of Constance Ford. I'm at about 20%.Very interesting if you like biographies, which I do. Last but certainly not least is Tom Lisanti's new book about Ryan's Hope. Only about 6%, just getting going. The last book I finished is Call Me Anne by Anne Heche. Good book, most is about her life & her shows but every chapter has something life enhancing, practical advice.
  7. I have continued to get it off & on. Twice last month. And I am desktop, Windows 10, Chrome Browser.
  8. DAYS Writers 11-30-23 Full Closing Credits 11-30-23 Closing Credits: All Writers: Ron Carlivati, Ryan Quan, Christopher Dunn, Jeanne Marie Ford, Jamey Giddens, Dave Ryan, Katherine Schock, Fran Myers, Sonja Alarr, Kirk Doering, David Kreizman, Henry Newman. (No changes.)
  9. Since she also has some problems with absenteeism I think they could make a case for her own health & well-being that she needs to stop trying to work & instead get completely well & then they'll see about writing her back in. And in the US there have been instances where actresses have been told to lose weight.
  10. Thank you so very much for the primer & background!! Now I have one more question. Do you remember the "Married Many Times thread"? Well what I have for Nikki is this: Nikki Reed Foster Bancroft DiSalvo Newman Abbott Landers Newman Newman Chow Sharpe Newman (Y&R) Now I've got someone questioning both Sharpe & Chow. Can you confirm or deny marriage to Deacon & to David Chow?
  11. Oh, crap. How did she manage it? Drugged him? Is Chelsea also the bio-mother of a teen ot tween who is parented by Victoria & whoever she is now with? I watched the Chelsea suicide show. Well, I watched a total of 4 consecutive days beginning, I forget, but I think one day before, day of, and 2 days after. I think MCE will win Best Actress for it. And, everything Billy did was right! But, love between them when rape is their history? UGH. And, Christian Le Blanc just got back too after he was treated for an aggressive cancer, right? @lucaslesann23 Thanks!
  12. Ola! Newbie here, HUH? First some basics: People named Abbott: Jack, Ashley, deceased John, Billy & Kyle. Yes? Kyle & Audra have sex? Billy was a good friend to Chelsea? Stayed with her on the ledge & talked to her? Jason Thompson used to be on GH? Now, Kyle is a double agent. Really loyal to the Abbotts but pretending to be with Tucker. Tucker, however, knows he's really pro-Abbott & is manipulating him?
  13. Newbie pleasure: I knew Abby was Abby. Wow, Tucker is a total arse! Still watching.
  14. NBC absolutely did say/tell/ask P&G to make AW more like DAYS. When they said it? ... unknown. Apparently it came up, so to speak, more than once. Remember when Tomas thought he saw a vampire? Specifically written to be more like DAYS.
  15. Oh, no, no hostility. We are all totally cool. However, we share this particular frustration and so does my special friend. SUCKS! Here is wisdom.
  16. I have only 2 more things to say. 1. You're preaching to the choir. Of course I agree about dealing wtih personnel. 2. Don't shoot the messenger.
  17. Frankly, right now, and lately, I have not thought that Maxie looks bad. I've thought that she now looks better than she did even a year ago. There's no problem with the brows now. Her hair isn't greasy. She just looks ordinary in her clothes instead of it looking like something is wrong. And I thought I had said this before, ... but heck maybe I did not. The show doesn't push the point in the way y'all are thinking they should because they're afraid of her reaction. Now you're gonna say that's dysfunctional. And, of course, you're right. Being right about it is as far as that will go. Now I am delighted that SoapHub has awarded a new status. They're calling it November Powerhouse Performer & of course for GH Finola got it.
  18. A reminder to us about Denise Alexander. Schemering p. 253 Then it talks about her work in the live theatre. Next, she gets exclusive with prime-time TV shows, over 200 of them including Father Knows Best, Ben Casey, Twilight Zone, Dobie Gillis and The Virginian. 1960 she started in soaps. The Clear Horizon, Ben Jarrod. GH got her away from Days with a very lucrative deal. She was part of the ratings explosion brought about by Marland & Monty. She was voted Daytime TV's Best Actress in 1972, 1973 & in 1980. She was in their top 10 more than anyone else. The bio goes on but you get the idea.
  19. I was amazed that they're moving so fast! I really liked the involvement of Holly & also her taking the initiative! Also they seem to be writing her smart. I hope that doesn't change. The only thing appealing about this possibly pie-in-the-sky idea of a Sloan/Dimitri roll in the hay is that it would pierce Leo's heart & he totally deserves to have that happen. Maybe Theresa is a female Alex! I was very glad when she said he had to go but then less so when she agreed to pay for anything & everything. Again I'm in love with Ari's performance. SoapHub gave out what they're calling the November Powerhouse Performer status & DAYS is Ari, of course.
  20. Well, Denise Alexander was so popular that several times people really fought to get her. I think that readily explains her. And Chris Robinson as Jason Frame, did they ever try to put Mary & Jason together? I always thought that they just hired him to play Jason & it had nothing to do with Denise. Am I being naive? I dunno.
  21. Well, I think Colleen called it when she said this story was about to steamroll the show.
  22. I've said more than enough. I'll just add boldface here.
  23. Well, one thing that NBC and P&G did was they took turns selecting EPs & HWs. So, this would have been P&G's turn to choose HW. And, yes, that meant sometimes the right hand and the left hand were playing different piano pieces!!!
  24. This is Thursday, Nov. 30th! It's finally cold here. Can you believe its almost December?! They say as you get older, that time passes more quickly. Sounds crazy but I believe it is true. Don't know about you but I am so busy that my mind is on auto-pilot! Oh, yeah, one more thing. Today is Mark Twain's birthday! William Faulkner called him "the father of American literature."
