Also Courtney Sherman Simon, when Kate came to her & said, Mama, I think I want to write for soaps. How do you do it? Well, immediately, she began to teach her daughter how & gave her assignments & constructive criticism before she stuck her toe out in the universe, where she's been now, for several years!!! So, between last Friday & today Brandon Barash got a haircut & now not only does he look like he's sporting a porn 'stache but he has a pin head to boot! So, EJ thought playing possum would work, huh? This night is going to come back to haunt him! So, Ron is back & they're using flashbacks with an absolute vengeance. I know in Demonic Possession 1.0 that Reilly literally was concerned about wearing the audience out on DevilDoc so when they decided to extend he decided by several more months, he made a plan to use a great many flashbacks rather than write new scenes to explain what the flashback could. Before you knew it he had invented a new trope.

Personally I don't believe I have beatified Patrick. Nor do think I have demonized Frank. Mostly I see both good & bad in Frank, in Korte & in Patrick. I've never really felt like I have a good grasp on Varni although I have seriously wondered if he understands soaps. Over the weekend I posted some specific things I think Frank has to address. Why Frank? Because the buck stops there. Dan & Chris, to me, aren't a part of what you are describing. They had their time. It was previous. Personally I think they did a great deal of damage & were not good HWs, at all. They left the show in a sorry state.
