While Anna Stuart was in Hollywood, trying that out, someone from the show, called her weekly, asking are you ready to come home yet? And, offering up tidbits about the show BTS & then when Anne was cast they began talking to Anna about this young girl & telling her all kinds of day-to-day details, trying very hard to entice her to return. I know that Anna was always coming back but I do not know if this person's machinations hurried her along, or not. Then, that week, of her return, with it being Felicia's birthday & that huge party she threw for herself & the House of Mirrors & Linda Dano was sporting those awful hair extensions. I won't go on. BTW, the reason this is known is because Anna herself has spoken of it. But, she did not name who that person was, which is fine because it doesn't matter.

Drew showed us he doesn't know his twin, not at all. I don't know what we're supposed to think about Drew having Jason's memories, except maybe that's not a thing anymore. Here's the thing, Drew paid off Cody to get his silence, we can see that, but, then, to turn around & use the same stratagem on Jason, boy, I get it that Drew is entitled, arrogant but I never before thought he was stupid. Jason would never say anything not because of Drew but because of Michael. Ric's trip to Jason, what a joke!

So, THE TALK's last day is 12-20. An article I read speculated the time in between then & BTG beginning might have holiday programming, maybe even a new limited series. I know I will personally be anxiously waiting for this new soap!! Can't wait.

When I looked into Billy Miller's exit online what I found out was that he wasn't. I realize those two individuals have said he was. I imagine that Billy Miller told his mother that he was & I have no desire to challenge a grieving mother. I have never deleted anything I posted. This would have been a first.

If we still had the capability to Edit I would delete this.

Given how convoluted this entire thing is & how much misinformation is out there I am not surprised. Example: How many of you have heard that Kelly was blamed for standing up for Billy Miller when he was fired? Problem: Billy Miller was not fired. He left of his own accord. Darn, I'm not an insider, never was, still not, and I have not posted any insider information. I tried to make that clear with what I said & how I said it.

I will add that it was a great relief to me to have Anna Stuart back. Philece was amazing on DAYS as Renee but she simply did not do it for me as Donna.

Yes, but don't you see that is exactly why they did so. I mean besides the fact that they wanted to give Sam a death that had some meaning. But there is a whole totally different narrative to this whole thing. Neither version of events has any proof, examples that could be verified, nothing of the sort. But, we'll call it Version D. In it Disney made the decision & their decision was based on something Kelly did. All on her. Version D contains nothing about Billy Miller, pettiness, retaliation. In it Frank is blameless, having absolutely nothing to do with any of it. Also it has nothing to do with paycuts or reduced guarantees. It is strictly about Kelly, Disney, employment contract, a warning from Disney, some mysterious rule that was broken, then same rule broken again, at which point, it became the straw/camel, etc. But, as I said, no proof on anyone's part. To sum up, it is one royal mess. I have no independent knowledge of any of these things. If anyone does they are not saying so. I would estimate that about 40% of fans believe this Disney version while Kelly's fanatical fans very loudly & very often proclaim her petty version. I do not offer this alternate narrative to complicate things but that may be the result.

A little aside. A huge thing at this time in AW fandom was Lisa vs. Vicky. This would go on to be an even bigger *thing* later on when it became Jamie with Lisa OR Jamie with Vicky. Also at this time simply hordes of young women were strongly identifying with Anne Heche's Vicky. (I may be off on time about this. I may be jumping the gun.) This was not my age group. But, it was Melissa's & so I am very familiar with it. In the whole of our relationship the ONLY THING we disagreed about was Lisa vs. Vicky. I was Team Lisa & she was Team Vicky. Which is kinda strange since Anne Heche ended up being one of my two all-time favorite actresses. Connie Ford being the other one.

I just left this in the Comments: OMG! That is amazing! Listen, I am a soap fan & I run a soap group. I have a black & white picture of Joan Crawford with Gloria Monty on the living room set of THE SECRET STORM. Crawford's daughter, Christina was in that cast & she was horribly ill & Joan insisted on going on in her place for a few days. It was crazy because she was a mature woman & Christina was I think mid-twenties. But, here's the reason I am telling you this. There's no video copy of her performances on the popular daytime soap! Some of us figure someone has a kinescope tucked away somewhere. If you're that someone, please get it to me or to someone so we can share it. That it doesn't exist in some video library is literally a crying shame! (Gloria Monty was the Exec. Producer for 15 years. Pre-GH.)

Today was Jason Beat the Sh*t Out of Drew Day & I was among the faithful celebrating by shouting, "Hit him again, Jason!" And, yeah, about the things, often small details that just take us right out of the moment & we do not appreciate it, one bit.

So, Kristina has actually had 2-3 positive moments this week which given the way they've been writing her is fairly remarkable. To me the writers have been gifting Sam & Alexis so for them to toss a few bones to Kristina is new & different. And, I say YEA!

So, my takeaway from this is that Kelly Monaco's last week with GH was a good week for the show as far as the Nielsens are concerned & that on the specific day when Lucas pronounced Sam McCall dead at 5:48 on the longest Halloween on record, GH had its best ratings day in months. Errol, would you say that's a fair summation? And, thanks as always for the numbers!
