  1. December 11, 1967 #1310 Liz reminds me SO much of a young Susan Walters & someone else I can't quite figure out yet. Her power of denial is incredible. When she was talking to Matt, all bubbly and sweet, but turned to the camera for a second looking devastated at what she guessed Matt wanted to say, it was a chilling moment. "I haven't apologized yet, have I?" "For what?" "For trying to strangle you!" "Oh, that!" DEAD Matt just loves the sound of his voice, doesn't he? LOL
  2. I just nearly cried when I saw the missing episode from last week has become available. I have fallen in love with this show soooo fast.
  3. WHERE THE HELL ARE EVERYONE'S COMMENTS???!!!! Come on, bitches, don't make me talk to myself here! I THOROUGHLY enjoyed yucky Gideon's takedown. What a decrepit piece ofshit! Charlotte was so pathetic wanting to kill herself because Yucky Gideon cheated on her. Bitch, please. It was just a convenient excuse to get Hot Cop into Emily's orbit. Speaking of hot cops, those locker room scenes should be mandatory for each episode! Nolan's hair is horrid. What respectable gay rich bitch would go out like that? DEAD at David's Knight-Riderish hideout and Victoria using him to make his own daughter pay! DEADER at Charlotte turning psycho after Emily tells her the truth (a bit anticlimactic, if you ask me) and trying to burn Emily and the Stowaway into nothingness!
  4. Up to episode 17: At some point, I felt the twists were becoming too much. Shocker after shocker after shocker, I almost got whiplash, but maybe it's because I was binge watching. This being said, Katherine ending up not being in the tomb was a GREAT twist and a wonderful way to keep the mystery going and prolong her eventual return. I totally fell for Anna's act, so it was a big shock when it turned out she was a vampiah. That actress can go from adorable geek to nasty bitch to lovesick undead in a blink of an eye. But it was annoying that Ben was ALSO an undercover vampire. I am STUNNED that characters like Alaric and Anna haven't been killed off yet. I thought they were goners for sure! lol I am so happy to see Alaric return to life. It's been two episodes without Bonnie at this point and I haven't missed her. Isobel being a vampire & with an agenda of her own is very intriguing, as is the story of the returned vampires hiding out in the farmhouse (so Y&R of them). Miss Peal is a badass bitch: "I have 400 years on you, little boy. I'll rip you from limb to limb not blinking an eye, and you know it!" Minor gripe: These vampires are adjusting to their new life WAY too quickly. So you figure out a cell or the TV but no way should they be using extremely modern phrases and words this soon and without any sign of difficulty. CW, relax your insistence on 'young,' 'hip' dialogue, please (five years later! lol) So fun to see Dax Griffin and Melinda Clarke on the show. Melinda played the guilt of not having been a good mother when confronted by Matt to perfection, Speaking of Matt, he and Caroline are still LOVE. Coochie coo. Sweet baby Jesus and all that is holy, Jeremy wants to be turned? Hold me, I'm fainting! I'm not too crazy about Anna being all lovesick. The last ten minutes of Elena giving Stefan her blood for the first time, Stefan turning a bit violent towards her, the montage of people dealing with my boo Vickie's death, Alaric punching Damon & Damon letting him (that SO needed to happen), Anna realizing Jeremy wanted to be turned to be with Vickie and then Damon discovering Stefan almost inhaling human blood... perfection! PERFECTION!
  5. Wow, this is quickly becoming a mess, with everyone discussing various episodes from this week that some have seen, some have not, spoilers galore from future stories etc I realize this was shown almost 50 years ago but still.... I wonder if we should 'uncancel' this show and move it to the main section LOL Just watched the December 08 episode (#1309) Althea's sessions with Bill are great. That moment when Althea makes that almost primal face and says "Nick treats me like a... woman!" was fantastic. It was only the second scene with Polly so far but I felt a little annoyed at having to watch her shtick again, although the actress is good. Still, there's something really touching about John in those scenes, although I also did think that he spends way too much time that he normally shouldn't have. Steve and Carolee! So sweet. Because I didn't read carefully enough, I know they become a big thing, so the fun of discovering that is gone, but they were so so cute together. And so funny with the file thrown at the nurse's face. DAMN! at Althea panicking when Nick asks her to marry him (Am I the only one who finds that gruff face hot?) and running off.
  6. I should really get around to finally watching all the short-lived soaps (EMERALD, PAPER DOLLS, TITANS, etc.). Still working through SAVANNAH.
  7. They flirted awkwardly from opposite sides of the room, argued about it, went jogging, flirted awkwardly, argued, made up, argued, made up, argued, made up... So, yeah, didn't amount to very much at all! lol
  8. Thanks for posting this. Such great backstage stuff and access to things I never thought we'd ever see, but also such intense, infuriating condescension from the reporters. How unprofessional to keep asking the actors how they feel about working on such low forms as soaps, or editing Lucci's claims about Erica Kane to come on right before Dano's humbler assertions, making Lucci look OTT and ridiculous. And the especially cringeworthy segment with University. Still, great to see various, average people talking about soaps (not just overweight middle-aged women), including men!!! And writers talking about how something doesn't make sense/may not be earned. Imagine that! LOL at Braeden being his motherfucking diva self. I would cut him if he tried to do something like that with my scripts.
  9. Absolutely. The character Corley had signed up to play was being decimated, so I can't blame him for leaving. As for PSM, it seems she wasn't all that interested in TV or even acting for a long period of time and after the quality of the show nosedived in Season 3 and Fallon was lobotomized, I would have been stunned if she stayed. In fact, it seems to me she stayed longer than expected. Don't panic but we agree again. lol Really interesting character, portrayed by a great actress. That's really cool to hear! Did you ever see him on THE KILLING? So beautiful, and really talented.
  10. Jack was never good, not just when it came to being with men. He's a decent actor but he could never make that writing and the static acting directive work. As for Al Corley, the very reason he wanted to play Steven was because he was gay. The "tenderness transcends gender" bullcrap the writers pulled was insane.
  11. He held up well because he was always a gorgeous, soulful man. Yum! And he did such beautiful work as Steven.
  12. Too bad Jack Coleman never got over looking, and acting, like a soulless robot.
  13. You guys keep talking about something called STRANGE PARADISE as if it's normal to have seen it LOL. I haven't even HEARD of it!
  14. I loved Karen telling Maggie and Althea that maybe one day she'll understand the American sense of humor & Maggie and Althea look at each other like LOL What passes today for humor is the whole cast acting like drunken fools and being behind bars and making nasty jokes about an actor's weight.
  15. LOL at Matt telling Karen to deal with Bellini by cussing him out in German.
  16. Thank the Lord! :D
  17. Can I rant for a second? You wanna know how deeply screwed soap fans are? We get crappy, continuing soaps (for the most part). We then finally get a classic soap rerun. But, wait. It's on a channel that hardly anyone has access to. Still, out of all YouTube, one person can post episodes. But, wait. They are too frustrated and give up. Still, someone else has access to them. But, wait. They don't want to post them because YouTube crawls up your ass with copyright infringements. Still, there's a link. But, wait. Out of all the times during the day these two episodes could be scheduled, they're scheduled for 12 and 12.30. That means the channel totally skips one of the episodes each day and only broadcasts the second one. Because why respect your viewers? Still, that's something. But, wait!!! The link works perfectly fine, no freezes or blackouts, except for the time the one episode of THE DOCTORS is broadcast. HA. HA. HA.
  18. LMAO! I can't. It's been working perfectly since last night and all of today and, ten minutes before the show, it goes offline. I CANNOT.!!!!!
  19. Yep, that channel shows news at 12. So they're only going to show every second episode? Insane.
  20. It's all about the shock & the event!
  21. That flat, cow-licked, dark hair doesn't suit her at all.
  22. Only 8 episodes in, but: Olivia, Gregory and Annie are utterly fabulous. Bette is not far behind. I can see why Meg would be cast as the lead romantic heroine. I love Casey and Rae. They're so sweet. Adrienne Frantz is Adrienne Frantz. LOVE the setup of Mark, Meg, Casey (that body!!!), Michael and Rae living in the same house. Randy Spelling is Greg and Olivia's son? Hot damn NO. The theme song makes a stripper out of me. I gyrate on my chair just listening to it. FANTASTIC. They're missing the strong family/business aspect, though. The show is so silly & soapily cliche & even bad at times but it has something about it.
  23. Matt, thank you so much. I was wondering (my OCD was demanding to know) which number episode we started with!
  24. Riddle for you: Soap opera or porno? OMG. Shrewridan almost runs over A Hunk. Her car then won't start, so he offers to take a look at it. "But you'll ruin your shirt!" (A wifebeater, btw). The guy takes the wifebeater off while the camera zooms out to show his shirtless body, he throws the "shirt" to Sheridan, a woman he just met, and proceeds to look at the car. Is this a soap opera or the beginning of a porno? Meanwhile, Timmy is shaking his Martimmy for the past 10 minutes & Charity was sitting down and talking to herself about having to get to Grace before she leaves instead of getting up and actually getting to Grace. Lord!
