  1. Oh! I didn't know that Chelsea Halfpenny was on Casualty. Good for her. I guess that does explain things. And did you notice that too?! The banter between Ross and the nurse was cute. Ross needs a woman that'll challenge him and possesses spark. Debbie has none of that. Cain or Charity usually clean up her mess. And yes, my boo does look so sexy with the curls. Maybe Pete needs to beat him into a pulp more so he can return to screen just as sexy as before. But what is this Bob story about? I usually FF through Bob's material as of late.... Were you watching a rerun, hun? If so, that'd explain things b/c Kirin ('your bae') wasn't on today.
  2. Emmerdale was good again tonight. I loved the confrontation between Ross and Pete, but I feel like my boo (Ross) is playing nice with Pete until he undermines him again. Plus, I am glad that nobody told Debbie that Ross is alive. I don't wanna see that 'black widow' anywhere near my man. Now Emma.... that heffa has gained my allegiance over the past couple of weeks. She stays dogging Debbie the slag off and I am ALL for it. She needs a gold medal for it. I am glad that the entire Barton clan aren't allowing Pete 'the angel' to get away with his crimes. How many years has Sam had the same story? I'm somewhat over Sam being the protector and guardian of all the wronged pregnant women in the village. I do like the chemistry that he has with Megan though. Poor Eric. I hate to see him shut people that love him out of his life. Especially now. And David should ease up on Amy not being able to come back to the funeral. I think that Val would understand.
  3. Thank God. I hope she keeps her peach this season, and is given a fair shot. We've had to endure Thotlandia for 3 seasons. Claudia should at least be given a second shot.
  4. I was thrown a bit when I saw him in interviews a few years ago like you, but as you said, I wasn't on Twitter making a big deal over it.
  5. I'd settle for a two-year slow burning triangle that's well plotted over the two minute flop triangles we get nowadays.
  6. Only woman I knew from season one was Caprice, who I felt got a horrible edit. No wonder why she didn't agree to sign on for the second season. IMO, this displays both Brits and Americans in a bad light. While Annabelle and Caroline were pretentious and elitist, the American women were no better. Especially Marisa and Juliet, who both came off extremely thirsty and eager to climb the social ladder. I get that the UK (and a lot of Europe) focus a bit more on class than other prejudices, but this show took it to the extreme. I'll try and watch this season b/c I love the scenery but I don't see myself sticking to it. 99% of the women are repulsive.
  7. Why? Did they expect him to be socially awkward like Sam was? He is an actor. Just shows that James Hooton is good at what he does. But I cannot believe people thought he was truly like Sam when there are tons of interviews of him online.

  9. OMG. Thank you, Emmerdale and Kate Oates! She is giving me the soapy goodness I've been wanting and yearning for. A classic red-herring that actually worked. They also used social media in a smart way to fool us all into believing Michael Parr was actually gone. I signed a freaking petition to get him back. This show is why I don't believe soaps are dead. Yeah, the model needs retooling but the product still excels when done correctly. US soaps need to take note. I can't say anything bad about Emmerdale. All the stories are hot even though there are a few things I don't care for (Robert being the village scape goat) but at least they are trying.
  10. Chillleeee..... My man is looking too sexy in them Instagram vids. So good, I could just....
  11. She will. Kristen seems like the type that believes it's 'cheaper to keep 'em.' To maintain the lifestyle she has, she'll suck it up and stick with him, but I see her constantly whining and making him suffer for his indiscretions. Meghan is a twat. Regardless how people feel about Brooks, it is no one's business about his illness. If he wants off chemo, it's his choice. Chemotherapy is draining and not everyone has the will to endure it. But I don't just blame her. I blame Shannon, Pleather, and Trailer Sue too. All of them pushed the issue too instead of just nixing it and being done with it. But I hope that she is a one-season thing. For a 10th season, I've always said that they should've brought back Gretchen, Jeana, and Alexis and full-time housewives with the five from last season (Shannon/Trailer/Heather/Vicki/Lizzie). RHONY reunion pt.2: The second part was boring. I am glad that Dorinda called Heather to the carpet but she could've done better. And it annoyed me how everyone felt that Dorinda wasn't justified in her anger towards Heather. Heather is a twat and she deserved the heat that Dorinda was tossing her way. I did enjoy the banter between Bethenny and Ramona. Though they have their spats, you can tell that they really love and enjoy being together. It's like a sisterly relationship where they may dislike each other's acts at times but the love is still there at the end of the day. I'm ready for them to get to part 3 where they'll address the Turks and Caicos trip. I think that's where we'll get the most drama.
  12. Damn. Emmerdale is good. I seriously thought my man was done for. Now that's how you surprise the audience. My husband lives!!!!
  13. I still don't understand why Possibly because they weren't making profit from them like they did in their heyday. IMO, they should've sold the rights to their whole library. they should've had CBS or Sony get the rights Doubt SONY would've wanted the rights and I doubt CBS would've paid for the rights of these shows when they wanna fill daytime up with talk and game shows anyways.

  16. They'd actually probably gain some longevity if they went back to hiring new blood and weening them for the next generation; however, that'll never happen at this point. Ron was technically the last one to benefit from that idea of thinking. Plus, it does not help nowadays when the networks and production companies are involved in the writer's room as well.
  17. Well we can thank Jill Lorie Hurst for trying to center the show to what it was back in 93/94. It boggles my mind how she's never landed another head writing job (or writing job period on daytime) post Guiding Light. Maybe it's on her end, but that's always shocked me. She seemed to be one of the brighter head writers this generation.
  18. I was just about to say that (re: him buying her another season). While Kristen should be livid, she should be glad at this point because now she'll have a story for next season of RHONY, and Bravo is going to exploit every second of it. If Josh was smart, he better move Heaven and Earth to do what he can to keep Kristen's mouth shut and get her off Bravo.
  19. But TIIC didn't wanna make any of those decisions. Procter & Gamble checked out of soaps around the late 90s. Possibly earlier. They wanted these shows to be killed off, and got what they wanted in the end of the day.
  20. Yes he [Jonathan] did. But that's a big issue [allowing certain characters to drive the show too much] with soaps all across the board and has been since the 90s. It became Jonathan Light instead of Guiding Light. And Tammy dying was just another way to further dehumanize Alan. Wasn't bad enough that 2-3 years previous he had supposedly killed Phillip. Now he kills Tammy. It was like they were trying to make him into a megalomaniac villain, which he wasn't. Brittany Snow's Susan was fun in the beginning when he had spunk, but she did become flat upon her departure; however, I did still care for her somewhat because she was a core character to the Shayne and Cooper families. But she became expendable upon her arrival in the form of Bonnie Dennison and stayed that way till the end. I also found it gross to see her schmooze up to James given that James was named after her adoptive father. Didn't she also view Lizzie and James as her siblings? I never got the appeal of Tom Pelphrey. People used to make him out to be the second coming when was decent at best. His acting style reminds me much of Christian J. LeBlanc--the whole 'Look at me!! I'm acting!!!" style. Justin Deas [on Guiding Light] was another one who was known to do that too. Sometimes subtleness goes a long way. And Murray Bartlett didn't impress me until I saw him on an episode of HBO's Looking. He looked more relaxed on that show, but that could be b/c he was performing material that he was comfortable with--being a gay man.
  21. I hated both of the Foley brothers. I wished that they had killed Cyrus too. I hated how Mel got shackled to him in the end, and he was instantly made Jenna's child to wash away all of his sins. And Susan was ruined when they brought her back de-aged and younger than Lizzie and Tammy. That just bothered me for continuity reasons. There were plenty of younger core female characters that they could've SORASed for Bonnie Dennison to play. Clarissa quickly comes to mind. I didn't care for Natalia and Rafe either. Never got why Otalia was considered great. They romance was boring as hell, and I never believed that Olivia, who was obsessed with penis majority of her run, had an 'a-ha' moment and realized she liked women. Same with Natalia. It was a cheap way to ride off the popularity that Luke and Noah were generating on World Turns to garner some publicity. The Kriezman/Swajeski era was horrible. Too bad that Jill [Lorie Hurst] wasn't given enough time to turn the show around, which she was getting to towards the end of the show's run. Guiding Light focused too much on the Coopers and Lewises. Not enough on the Bauers. And the Spauldings were becoming too slapstick and mustache-twirling. I prefer to forget about the last 4-5 years of the show starting at the height of 'Jammy.' I wanted the Guiding Light that I fell in love with back in '93 as a child. One which had a strong sense of community and family. One which had strong male and female characters. One which had ambitious and driven characters. A show that had romance, adventure, and intrigue but had emotional depth. It became painful to watch the show just become a hollow shell of itself. Especially during the Peapack era. Watch Harley's homely looking ass check her mail and open bills did it for me.

  23. Now you know I didn't do the banner b/c if I had, Dawn AND Leanne would've been on both ends and Magali and Ampika, my two faves, would've been in the middle spots. But I am excited for their return. NYC is about to be off after this Thursday (SN: Part 2 reunion comes on Tuesday and Part 3 comes on this Thursday RHONY fans) and I won't have a housewives show to entertain me all of September b/c OC ain't cutting it. I need something to distract me until November gets here with the return of Beverly Hills & Atlanta. But Magali and Lauren have both hinted on Twitter that this season is filled with drama. I cannot wait. Compared to the American housewives, RHOCheshire's drama is more lighthearted and funny--like early US housewives.
  24. Dare I say it but I hope Emma goes nutty and starts terrorizing the Dingles over the loss of Ross. While I feel like the body found is a red herring, I still want Emma to torture Debbie, who set this whole thing in motion by being a slut and boinking Ross.
