I don't think it was for Cindy, it was likely more a budget issue, but honestly I never cared for Robin as Lorna anyway. I was implying that Cindy is a character that shouldn't've stuck around for a long time. Not over Lorna. Not shocked that many didn't take to Robin's Lorna seeing as it was jarring for those who watched Alicia Coppola's version. RC was Lorna when I started to watch back in early '95.

Thanks for sharing! I loved Gabe and Lorna. I hate how they were given such a crap ending. Did Robin Christopher and John Bolger wanna leave or did TPTB decide to write them off? I guess by killing Gabe, they were shifting Felicia's curse of losing loves of her life to Lorna. I hated Amanda around this time no matter who played her. She was a royal twat. I wish Rachel would've went upside her head and tell her to get out her business. And digging in her mom's purse without permission?! That would get you slapped in my neck of the woods. My hatred for Joe was further solidified in this clip. I wanted Chris to kick him in the balls when all he was asking for was a quote for the paper. As usual, Joe had to react aggressively and nasty. I never understood why TPTB kept him around. Joseph Barbara must've been loved behind the scenes. Joe has to be the first of a string of cop characters on soaps I loathed. I feel like he was prototype, which would be used for all male cop characters to come. Jack on ATWT. Frank/Mallet/Gus on GL. Bo and McBain on OLTL. Paul on Y&R. Bo/Roman/Abe on DAYS. You could even see shades of it dating before Joe in the form of Cruz on SB at times. Brutes who would abuse their power and lord their righteousness (and morality) over everyone when they weren't upstanding all the time; however, they'd be praised and propped by everyone. It was annoying. It's somewhat of a commentary on the current crisis here in the USA. JFP started a trend.... I do wish that Felicia falling through the skylight would be post. I would love to see that again.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
B/c Queen of Thotlandia can't use her brain to solve issues so she has to result to hitting. TMZ is reporting that this altercation was recorded too. I wouldn't be surprised if Bravo shows this as a tactic to turn the audience on Porsha and finally get rid of her ass--a tactic I am ALL for. She is lowering the standards of this show with her antics. Here's a sneak peek of tonight:

Glad that at least one television institution is getting a second lifeline online. Hopefully, it is a success.

I need to seriously go find clips on this quartet (Ryder/Jeremy/Nikki/Dani) b/c I am drawing blank on a lot in that time period. Maybe b/c I was more tuned into Another World and Guiding Light at the time. I hate hearing how Ryder and Dani, both legacy characters, were written during this time period. You'd think TIIC would've gave them something better to do. But around that period (the mid 90s) do you all think that teen stories on soaps across the board just started to take a dip?

I think Hogan let him go. Hogan didn't do anything with the Dixon clan at all. Poor John was reduced to a talk to when he still was viable enough to drive story. The man drove story for nearly four decades of the show. I'll never understand how someone could let Larry Bryggman slip through their grip. I would've given him the moon and stars to stay. Especially when all they had to do was revisit John's history with Lucinda and Lisa, thus putting them into a tumultuous triangle.

But didn't FMB bring him back a year later around the church fire? And he was tossed in Molly's orbit shortly after? He left in November or December 1995 and returned around summer 1997 for the fire. Then he stayed for a few years. Probably one of about three positive decisions FMB made. At the time I was angry about the mass firings at ATWT in summer '95, as I knew that the last of "my" ATWT was now officially dead (which it was), but looking back I can understand the decisions to get rid of most of the people they got rid of, although I do think they made a mistake in writing out Pete and Julie (I would have killed Caleb and left Julie as a scheming widow) and a big mistake in writing out Andy. The real problem was the people they replaced these characters with were absolute horseshit. Pete was the character that Jason Biggs played, right? Glad to hear that FMB got that right. I always felt that Andy should've been on the show to the very end. But IDK if he would've meshed well with RH's Paul.

I thought so. It sounded like Tom said in the episode that Scott was older. Maybe I misheard or it was a writer's mistake. Do you think that Jeremy should've been brought back in the final years of the show when they did that Nevins story with Margo/Allison/Casey/Matt? Seeing as his brother did give his mother AIDS. Andy was fired shortly after this?

I was watching around this time as a little tadpole and a lot of this stuff I don't remember. Did Tom call Scott is big brother? I thought Tom was older than Scott? I don't remember this Jeremy character. Was that Dani with him? This is a first that I've seen Carly and Andy in a scene together. Were they entertaining pairing them together? I can see why they ended up married together. They have instant chemistry. It was funny that Carly was rambling on about Evan given Andy's history with him; he looked like burst into flames over it. One of Rosanna/Mike's dull romantic scenes by the Snyder pond. I found this pairing to be so dull. Funny because I liked both characters apart in later years with different actors (McClain & Collier) portraying them. I don't remember Scott and Samantha being together in the past either. I only remember Samantha being with Kirk for the most part of her time on the show. I do remember Orlena and her poisoning Lily. I never understood why it took Lily forever to realize she was being drugged. She can be so dense at times.

Looks like Apollo may be getting an early release. Phaedra must be somewhere sweating bullets. http://sandrarose.com/2015/12/apollo-nida-transfers-to-new-jersey-in-prison-ahead-of-anticipated-early-release/ He's being transferred to the same prison where Joe Guidice will be going in the matter of weeks. Oh, Andy! I smell a reality show.... Real Husbands of Prison!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
What I find sketchy and low-class that he supposedly moved them into a WAY smaller home months previous. This was planned. David didn't want Yolanda making off good with a multi-million dollar home, which she'd most likely walk away with. Betcha he studied Kelsey Grammar's playbook but won't have lose as much. I agree that he probably has a new, young side piece in the wings. Knowing his ass, he's probably already living with her in a lavish home in Beverly Hills. Wait that gif of Yolanda...did she actually say that?!? Or are you guys just messing with her lol. I can't imagine her saying that... She did say that. She was talking about how in Hollywood some women will throw themselves at any guy they think will buy them Chanel bags and stuff. No lies detected tbh. I am hearing conflicting reports that the Malibu home was what Mohammed gave to Yolanda in the divorce -- so why is Yolanda holed up in an ugly ass condo while David (by some reports) is still in the Malibu house?? That makes no sense. What is sad is how Yolanda has had to downsize so quickly and from so far. It must be a huge hit to her pride and self esteem. It reminds me of what she said at last year's Reunion about how she didn't want to throw Brandi away "like a piece of trash." I wonder if deep down she identified with Brandi because she sensed she would be treated similarly by her 'King.' And all this when she is clearly struggling with some kind of debilitating ailment. Somebody on RealityTea wondered if Yolanda was also trying to keep her husband close with this illness. Apparently on social media, everytime he posted a selfie in some glamorous corner of the world, she would post a pic of herself in hospital or with an IV by her. Maybe to beg/guilt him to come back. If that condo is the best he can do for her, then he clearly is a stingy bastard. Camille never signed a pre-nup with Kelsey so she was able to demand a lot in the divorce, but I wonder if Yolanda did. It would make sense that she would use the illness card to try and keep him. Pathetic but it makes sense. I just hope she didn't get this idea from a soap opera. But I think Yolanda did sign a prenup. I think she said she did at the s3 reunion.

They are still popular...just because you turned on them doesn't mean that omg they're hated by everyone. Tre in particular still has the legion behind and I won't even speak on Nene whos an icon on her. Them? First off, I always loathed Teresa since DAY ONE. She was too much of a flunky for the Manzos for my taste. I was team Danielle seasons 1 & 2, and team Kathy seasons 3-5. Both of the may have a loyal legion of fans but they are just as much hated. Much more than what they were from their earlier seasons and even you and your blind love for them can deny that.

I agree but Lisa just needs to ease up. I know that honesty is everything on these shows but some matters need to be left unsaid. Lisa needs to chill out b/c the audience is already starting to act leery towards her. She knows it can take one episode, one moment for the audience to flip. She better look at Nene, Teresa, Vicki, Jill, etc. All of them were very popular but eventually took a turn for the worst.

I think this may be the season that breaks Lisa V. She needs to ease up on Yolanda b/c she's gonna come off looking real bitchy and losing a helluva lot of fans in the process. She needs to leave it alone and shut her trap.

I was just coming to post that story. Yolanda should've known better than to get with him. It's been well recorded that he's a serial cheater and rolling stone. He goes through wives more than underwear.
