Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That LA Times story is very worth reading because it shows how this has been a long time coming. It's very interesting that Erika Jayne was to be shuttered in 2015 because it wasn't making financial sense - yet RHOBH propelled them to think otherwise, likely to their continued detriment. Ultimately, Girardi not allowing equity partnership in his law firm, so he kept 100% control, may have been his undoing because there was no one to check and balance his decisions.

Whewwwwww. In my opinion, this guy is so full of sh*t he needs to wipe his ears. Glad he admitted he's been single, as in not with Gizelle, the whole time.

Fascinating...it really seems like a house of cards and once one was pulled, the whole thing falls down into itself.

Please tell me it's not about Tom? It's about Tom. Here's the thing about what's been alleged about Tom Girardi. Lawyers don't get a 'free pass' to f*ck with their Trust Accounts. The moment that allegedly happened, Tom's legal career was over. It is the clearest route that lawyers get disbarred. I don't know how it works in the United States, but in other jurisdictions the governing bodies do Trust Account audits regularly. The allegations about his firm appear to be that they've been operating a Ponzi scheme whereby they stole from their Trust Account and have been constantly playing catchup using money from Client B to pay funds owed to Client A, so they're always a few clients behind where they should be and constantly underwater. And then you have all these allegations about his firm borrowing huge sums of money and that those funds have been misappropriated. Law firms are like any business - once you start borrowing large sums of money, that should be an indicator that your business is in real trouble. The whole thing appears very dubious and sinister.

Monique has come with all her evidence. I think Candiace should be very afraid. She better get that triangle of tissue folded.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
These are the faces of four women who have realized they tried it with The Wrong One:- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
ATL Certainly a fine episode and it reminded me why I have no sympathy with Kenya at all. She is such a mean, sour bitch. I was furious when the episode ran overtime - I was waiting for RHOP! POTOMAC WHEW...that was an incredible first episode for a reunion. Christmas came early. The Candiace/Robyn/Wendy/Ashley contingent largely sat this episode out and were largely irrelevant. I really thought it was a big reach for Wendy to try and spin Ashley's use of the word 'aggressive' when Wendy has been totally aggressive towards Ashley. It's the English language. No, this episode was all about the flawless tag team of Karen and Monique against Gizelle. Karen did the lay up and Monique did the slam dunk that shatters the backboard. First, Karen wore Gizelle right out with very direct questions that Gizelle answered like a lying politician. She was scrambling and it was obvious she did not, and would not, answer a single one of Karen's questions directly. Karen gave Gizelle an opportunity to tell her story. She could have been honest. But she kept lying...So then it was time for Monique... Monique nuked Gizelle in a way that I have never seen on a RH reunion. Gizelle's whole face collapsed once Monique pulled out the Holy Bible of Potomac aka her Receipt Binder and started reading. When she read out the phone number, Gizelle knew the game was over. When Gizelle admitted the phone number was Jamal's it was abundantly clear that Monique was telling truths only.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Yes, they'd known each other since the 1960s because Barbara's agent, Peter Charlesworth, was Tony Newley's best friend (he later became Joan's UK agent too for decades before his retirement this past decade). Here is an old photo probably dating to the very early 90s of the two of them with a large group of friends (you'll see Elaine Paige, Edward Duke, Brian May, Diana Rigg, Stefanie Powers, Anita Dobson, Robert Wagner and Jill St. John): Barbara had a great little story about Joan in her memoir, which I've reproduced below: Having known Joan many years, we went to the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, to see out mutual friend Christopher Biggins in 'The Tempest'. I'd introduced Joan and Christopher the previous year when we had all gone to see Joan's now ex-husband Anthony Newley in his one man show at the Langan Hilton and they had got on brilliantly. A few weeks later, I'd bumped into Joan at a book launch and she said. 'Tell me, that delightful man I met, Christopher Biggins, is he really as lovely as he seems?'... 'Oh, yes!'.. I told her. 'He is an absolute joy. He is lovely for ladies like us, especially if you haven't got a gentleman to escort you to a premiere, or if you want to go to the movies, or even fancy fish and chips! He's that kind of person. Every actress should have Biggins in the small print of their contract as an essential.' .. 'Oh really?'.. said Joan. That was the beginning of a great friendship. After that, they were seen everywhere together. That night after The Tempest, we went to dinner at The Ivy, where Joan taught me a lesson I've never forgotten. She looked amazing, giving that it was a chilly night and we'd been sitting in the open air for a couple of hours, but even so she asked the press photographers waiting outside the restaurant not to take her picture until she came out. After dinner Joan checked her lipstick to make sure she was looking her best, whereas I didn't bother. As we left we were photographed together. While I grinned broadly, waving my hands all over the place, the immaculate Joan smiled sweetly and kept hers discreetly behind her back, which for ladies of our years, is essential, because if you show your hands, you show your age. When I saw some of the photographs, the difference was clear, at least it was to me! I take my hat off to her.- HBO: Industry
Finished episodes 7 and 8 today. The show really came together in episode 4 and the tension in episode 8 about who was hired back was palpable. Really well done. Ultimately, I wasn't left rooting for any of the characters (with, perhaps, the exception of Gus) - they're all bad in their own way and highly self interested. That said, from what I know of the industry, I think the writers got it right and I'd watch a Season 2.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
LVP has sadly announced that Giggy has died:- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
What I loved about Dame Barbara's portrayal of Peggy is that she leaned right into her relationship with notorious London gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray, and their mother, Violet Kray. Dame Barbara knew that seedy underbelly of London firsthand. She infused Peggy with all the shades of Violet Kray and she excelled. Tough as nails, but also full of heart. They truly don't make 'em like that anymore.- Linda Dano joins Days as recast Vivian
I think Allison Sweeney had something to do with it. She hired Linda to do a Hallmark movie with her last year and they're apparently quite friendly. I do believe Linda lives in Connecticut, but she is originally from California, and given the pandemic, it might be a nice break for her.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
SLC I am loving this show. The international franchise flavour endures. Mary was slightly less enjoyable this week, but it did not change my opinion of Jen one iota. As @Chris B said it was pretty clear that Jen had saved up that comment about 7-Eleven and was waiting to use it for maximum impact. It didn't work. It just felt hollow to me. I like that Heather lives in a normal(ish) house and cooks her own breakfast for her kids. She isn't fronting anything (unlike, ahem, Jen...) and while it's obvious that she has a comfortable life, it's on a more relatable level. I am one who actually finds the ostentatiousness of current day RHOBH sometimes off putting because I know it's all financed to the hilt. RHONY, ATL and POTOMAC all operate on a similar level - comfortable, even so far as luxurious, but not so insanely opulent that the women are living in a totally different reality. Lisa is the one housewife I think could be dropped and nobody would notice. I don't like that she threw her husband's Rolex out a window I really dig Whitney and her storyline with her father feels so authentic and it's clear she's carried a lot during her 30 years. Meredith's scenes with her husband were so raw and sad. They both seemed hurt that the marriage isn't working out. I'm rooting for them. It's a 25 year marriage.- Linda Dano joins Days as recast Vivian
Am I the only one who thinks Robin Strasser's use of the word 'beloved' is a tad bitter? I love Linda Dano, so although this recast is random AF given that Sorel is so closely identified with the part (though, with the pandemic, I can understand any hesitancy she would have with travelling, being on set etc.) I look forward to it. Linda is always watchable, so I am excited to see her onscreen again.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
RIP Dame Barbara. She was an old school East End show biz icon.- NETFLIX: The Crown
That was awesome! Thank you for posting!- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
OC I'm out. I quit watching halfway through the episode. I'm not watching the rest of the season. I have never seen a group of such entitled, stupid, selfish, whiney, pathetic, weak, and ignorant women. I don't like any of them. I certainly don't need to relive this pandemic with them.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I agree. In my opinion, your opinion rings true to me.- The Wendy Williams Thread
Wendy disclosed that her mother died a few weeks ago. Perhaps that explains her bizarre behaviour a few weeks ago? If she was drunk or high or both, it might explain why:- BRAVO: Vanderpump Rules
Tamra doesn't seem to be able to separate her hatred of LVP from any objective news. Moving on from Jax is absolutely key for the show. They should pivot to Tom Tom and find a new group of 20/30 something model/actor/whatever wannabes.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I echo @Cat @Antoyne and @Gray Bunny I see Karen. I know she’s stirring it all up, but she does it with a wink and a nod and a sense of humour, so I prefer her shady ways to everyone else’s. - Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
