The Wendy Williams Thread
So Wendy disclosed publicly that Big Kev has beat her? Gosh, that's awful. Wendy's been living in her house in New Jersey for years now, I think after the TV show started she moved into a proper house - and it's very nice but also surprisingly normal. Wendy is very proudly from New Jersey, the other week she was saying that she really needs a drive thru bank, a drive thru McDonalds etc, she couldn't imagine living in NYC.

The Wendy Williams Thread
Ugh, that is so sad. Wendy has said on Howard Stern that Big Kev "knows how to put her in her place" and knows how to "handle a woman like her"...and it's no secret that he cheated on her when she was pregnant with Little Kev. It very well may be that the show is Wendy's escape from that kind of domestic misery.

Wendy's after show for her last episode of the season featured some tears - sometimes it seems like Wendy can't believe her luck, other times it seems like there's something sad going on behind the scenes with her, who knows!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Security, cameramen and producers are with the housewives at all times when they travel. How is LuAnn a whore? She's a single woman. She can "do whatever and blow whomever she wants so long as she can breathe and kneel" (copyright Samantha Jones). So she took a guy home from the bar...so what? If he was indeed married, that's on him, not on her. Frankly, it's a naive perspective to say that LuAnn is a whore because she slept with a man while on vacation as a 50 year old woman with grown children. She's 50, she's a young, vital, sexy woman. Why shouldn't she do as she pleases?

The View
No, she'll drive them away. Audiences are tired of fighting and they're really tired of bigotry and broken records. There's a reason The Talk keeps growing, year after year: it's a consistent, well produced, easy to watch hour of television where all of the hosts get along, discuss topics relatively politely and appear to like each other. The View has burned itself out. Next season is make or break for it.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NYC Team LuAnn all the way. Heather overreacted incredibly like a hysterical child, she must have been so much fun in college...tearing through the house like a rumpled mess, screaming and crying at everyone still asleep, only for LuAnn to emerge in an untied robe, bikini revealing an incredible body, chic sunglasses shielding her eyes, her hair looking perfect and she got Right. Up. In. Heather's. Face. She was deliciously withering with how she shrugged off Heather's hysterics. Her "Don't Be Uncool" speech will be a housewives classic. Kristen's a bitch and I'm glad Bethenny didn't back down about how crappy it was of her to speak to the Daily News about her. This hilarious one was Sonja preaching the wisdom of hooking up randomly, she really is a master of that game. "Ramona's green. She's green to the game." Perfect. Carole is a snake.

It's a mistake to fire Nicole. She was the best part of the panel this season.

When did Sonja get arrested for assaulting a police officer or maliciously go after Eileen Davidson or Lisa Rinna (when they were right!) or get so trashed at her daughter's wedding that her family cut her off or have a pit bull so poorly trained that it bit several friends and relatives? That's right, never. Sonja and Kim are in no way comparable aside from the fact that Sonja hits the booze hard.

Bill Cosby
A Lorenzo Lamas meme?! What a winner. All I can say is I hope Janice Dickinson's lawsuit bleeds him dry. Thanks to those documents her case against him for defamation just got a whole lot stronger. What a son of a bitch, I'm so glad his 'legacy' has been destroyed by the truth.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
OC Meghan is the worst housewife in Bravo history. She isn't RHOV's Jody Claman levels of evil, but she's awful and horrendous to watch. She's a social climbing nitwit who just might be a beard for Jim Edmonds. They don't have poor chemistry, he seems to hate her. I was so glad Shannon called that bitch back and told her she had nothing to prove and she's right about that! Heather whining about Terry working too much bothers me because it's due to her wanting gilded toilet seats that Terry has to work non-stop. If they chose a simple life (even by OC standards) she could have Terry around as much as she likes. It was great to see Jeana back - she is steely as ever. It would be just great to have her return full time. And then there was the most gut wrenching moment when Vicki got the news that her mother had died. The OG of the OC showed what a real housewife she actually is for letting that moment air. No other housewife has the guts and sense of 'this is who I am' without guardedness to let scenes like that air. She said to Andy that she signed up for a reality show and that was her reality. The primal, guttural screams were the stuff that only grief can bring out. It was so interesting to see how Vicki reverted to being a scared little girl asking "Whose going to worry about me?" which was just heartbreaking. Shannon, Tamra, Heather and Jeana all had different approaches with Vicki and not one of them put a foot wrong. Brooks really stepped up too. There's something about the OC ladies that the other franchises don't have: a certain level of camaraderie that the other US franchises just don't have. It may be that the OC is a small enough community to foster some sort of bond. I don't know what it is, but that moment with Vicki exemplified what it is.

Oh, I don't like seeing Katherine Helmond looking so plain. She was so glamorous as Mona on Whose The Boss and stayed that way for so long, a shame she threw in the glamour towel.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NYC What a great episode. This season is working for me in every way. Ramona and Bethenny was great to watch, as they bonded over their lives imploding. I just don't find Sonja to be as delusional as everyone makes her out to be. I think Sonja is crafty and wily and stupid, but not delusional, I think she knows all about her limitations and problems, and prefers to craft a different image. I liked that she was doing squats in her wedges. LuAnn continues to be a winner for me. Her arrival on the beach with eggs a la Francaise was hilarious. I really dig Dorinda and I'm glad she went in on Heather's stupid ass. Heather and Carole have really irritated me this season and they've contributed nothing in terms of storyline. In some ways they're more useless than Kristen. The yacht scenes were good fun and a nice balance to the intensity of the other scenes.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
OC Meghan is the bitch I have said she was from the first episode. She needs an assistant? That husband of hers seems pretty dense. Really dumb. The way she discussed her charity goals said it all. She wants people to like her. But she's a smug, nasty bitch and can't keep a lid on it so that isn't going to happen. That charity speech was beyond stilted. Shannon is so highly strung. Her impression of Meghan was spot on. The violins had to be coming out for Shannon as she crowed about Meghan being "malicious" to her with not inviting her to the party. Shannon nailed it that Meghan has an overblown ego. Heather's house seems incredibly vulgar and overdone. It doesn't seem like it'll be chic, it seems overblown and tacky. Vicki and Brooks seem to have a real deal relationship. I happened to like how she dealt with Meghan being a total bitch with Shannon, she put her stake in the sand - good for her! And I enjoyed that little scene with her and Tamra discussing her implants. The thing about Vicki is the older she's getting the more honest and blunt she's become. Common sense is a great look on her. Vicki got in a great burn with "It's not all yours, Meghan. It's all Jim's." Granny Tamra. So far I'm finding her pretty funny. This is going to be a relatively positive season for her - the "Shannon should have just showed up!" line made me laugh. And her "from one ex-mean girl to another, don't be mean, it doesn't work out" seems relatively prophetic. Her honesty about fleeing the boring charity party was great. Another good appearance by Lizzie. The "friend" role is working for her. It was great that she called Shannon and Vicki to ditch Meghan's party. Her husband seems way happier and more relaxed too.

Nene Leakes, otherwise known as 2015's Michael Moriarty or David Caruso. It will be very interesting to see how she fares outside of the NBCUniversal bubble and without a stead stream of exposure from the RH franchise.

The thing about LuAnn's "singing career" is that she's clearly aware of how bad/hilarious it all is but is game to have fun:

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
You said it so perfectly, Cat, Jeana Keough knows where all the bodies are buried. She is steely and I love her. She needs to return full time. The OC needs her. The moment with David and Shannon's daughters was so cringe worthy. They never should have done that to their kids. I like Terry Dubrow, always have, very likely always will, he's a skilled doctor and a nice guy. But Heather has rubbed me the wrong way since the tail end of last season - she thinks she's lady of the manor when she's like any other Orange County housewife, despite her protestations to the contrary. She's changed, and that's fine, but she shouldn't be acting so superior when she spends money like a drunken sailor and then brags about it just like the women she mocks.

Jeana is absolutely needed full time. She would have been perfect on that Napa trip or accompanying Vicki to Florida.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I have no use for Meghan or the bible thumper either. Miscast. Especially Meghan who seems so basic and nasty. Shannon and David are sad to watch, that golf cart moment was illuminating because that's how it's always going to be, they're always going to have these issues and they should call it quits. It's bizarre that she doesn't see divorce as an option. Staying in this marriage will warp her kids. Tamra finding God? Um. She didn't fake that well. Heather is classless. She talks about money way too much to 1) have as much as she'd like us to believe 2) have any grace and style. Running over budget on a house isn't an achievement, it's a failure. I don't know why she thinks it's cute. Really missed seeing Vicki. Why didn't they have cameras following her to Florida?! We could have had another classic "My boobs want to come out and play" moment!

I won't be at all surprised to hear about Brandi Glanville financial problems in a year or two. Once she doesn't have regular media exposure she will go the way of Sheree and become totally irrelevant. It's an inevitability that all housewives face. It isn't as if she had a career of any significant value before the show. And as I always said, instead of renting that house she should have bought a condo. Much as we all had a good laugh at OC Lauri and her Cat Crap Condo, she always had a roof over her head that she owned. Not all of the housewives can say the same. Ultimately, she tangled with The Queen and she lost. Checkmate, indeed.
