Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@NothinButAttitude Rinna sounds pissed that she might actually have to work for her paycheck, instead of merely sitting back and throwing digs from her VTs as she has been doing the last two seasons. She might even --gasp-- have to host her own fancy event! Instead of piggy-backing on others' and making a scene because Kim was invited! It is a really different Rinna from earlier seasons. She always had a gameplan (and by gameplan, I mean targeting someone for relevancy). But she had a sense of humor too. Now she is all about the wigs and costumes, and there is a lot of bitterness/meanness underpinning her interviews. She has basically morphed into the humorless Erika (Rinna closely copying both her friends and her enemies is a post for another time -- there is not much originality left in her game). THAT is why the show is a bore, folks. And they say LVP holds a grudge? It's been about 5 years and Rinna still nurtures her beef with Kim and LVP! It's like she cannot rest until they are publicly obliterated. I guarantee both women will be mentioned multiple times by her during S10.

I'M NOT A CAHN WOMAN! I WAS CAHNNED! Seriously Vicki is the gift that keeps on giving this trip. And Kelly keeps saying "You know what happens to liars? They get sued!" What about people who threaten violence?

In our current economic landscape, one 'asset' I have noticed among a few unscrupulous multi-millionaires is not so much their ability to sniff out a good deal (clearly not in Mo's case --that property was built on a precipice!), but rather their ability to 'mitigate costs.' And by that I mean work the system so that somebody else covers the loss. That is where 'filing for bankruptcy' comes in. He could pay $5mn for this, but doesn't want to. Spare a thought for poor Gigi and Bella this Christmas, tho!

Yep, if I were Nene, I would be worried right about know. She is costing Bravo over $1 million per episode, and refuses to film with all but a 1 or 2 people who won't contradict her. Contrast that with Cynthia's BBQ and a roomful of 12 women -- HWs and FOHs -- who were shading each other while also laughing and commiserating together. Probably the best bit was everybody owning up to some of their truest insecurities -- something I could never see the current incarnation of Nene doing on camera.

Don't get me wrong, Leeanne is legitimately mad at Kary for trying to humiliate her. But I think she is unsure whether Kary formulated this plan or if D'Andra did and Kary was the enthusiastic cheerleader. She has already basically cut D'Andra out of her life, otherwise she would have invited her to the wedding. TBH, if Dallas comes back next season (which it should IMO), I wonder if D'Andra will even be asked back. Kary definitely won't. She is not popular among viewers at all. I would be sorry to see D'Andra go, for the simple reason that her story with Mama Dee is compelling, not to mention she is a hot mess! She is like a teenager emotionally in her inability to get up for work. Her reliance on mommy's money. Her sense of entitlement. Her irrational jealousy of the queen bee. The way she simultaneously rejects and yearns for Leeanne's friendship. That is some toxic high school ish right there. Re: Marlo, ITA she lost her fashion touch in S9-11. She get mired in some sexy/trashy theme dressing, and it made her look cheap/all about logos (i.e.: Erika Jayne/Dorit style dressing). Also, it didn't help that we learned nothing about Marlo the person. She was only there to stir the pot and say awful things about Kenya. It made her look bad, and I for one am pleased to see a different side to her because she actually sounds like she her a wise head on her shoulders. Having her interact with Kandi and Cynthia has helped. And she is back to dressing flatteringly for herself. Shiva left Mohamed??? I never knew that. Shocked but not shocked. She saw the writing on the wall. Yolanda also got a new man this summer, a 'wealthy businessman,' so she does not have to rely on Mo's handouts for a little while. Oh, definitely declaring bankruptcy of his real estate company was a financial decision -- he did not want to shoulder the full write-off of tearing that ridiculous house down, so that's why he filed. And I suspect Mohamed won't be moving out of his own mansion anytime soon to pay for this.

@Taoboi dont apologise! Management did you wrong, rewarding this idiot for bullying behaviour and mediocrity, basically! I can see why the episode was triggering for you, and I am so glad you are moving on to bigger and better things where you can be appreciated for the work you do, full-stop. Your story reminded me of back in the day doing the groundwork on a project, shaping it into a proposal... only for it to be given to one of the good ole boys to stick his name on it! My next project was running to the pharmacy to get some bunion cream for my boss's chronic bunion problem! Because that's all women are good for, right? I was seething, but I stuck with that job for many months longer because at the time I didn't really have the confidence in my own skill set. I am looking forward to this week's Dallas epi. IA that Leeanne can be very clear and focused in explaining herself, but I think Kary and D'Andra's very obviously planned takedown pushed her over the edge. Will wait to see if she doubles down on her words or recognises what she said in the cold light of day. Also, I think it's interesting that her anger is targeted at Kary. It's almost as if her longtime ex-BFF D'Andra does not exist. Now, re ATL and Eva! No, you are not seeing Eva the Diva again (and believe me, I watched ANTM back in the day). You are seeing Eva the Cowardly Lion who cannot even confront Marlo on what she said. What kind of RH is that?? Btw, my breakout star thus far on ATL has, I hate to admit it, been Marlo. She is a voice of reason with Nene and doesn't back down when Nene tries to blowhorn her down.

RHONJ seems to be ticking along nicely. Margaret coming right out and talking about her lawsuit / declaring bankruptcy basically shows all the other franchises how it's done. Be open and matter-of-fact right away. Why am i enjoying messy Jennifuh? Because she has a sense of humor about herself. I am warming to Jackie at times, but she has zero sense of humor about herself. She is fine laughing at someone else, but anything directed at her and the joke is over. A lot of this must be tied up with how tightly wound she is, as Dolores pointed out. Also she is trying to be the Dorit Fashionista of Jersey which is LOL. It is crazy how poorly Teresa comes across on the show. I just saw clips of her BravoCon events and, wow, the audience adores her. She talks directly to them. She is charming, funny, open, chatty and expresses herself so confidently.

I want Tamra to get her comeuppance this season, but when she said Kelly is only as smart as the last person she spoke to... 😀 When you're right, you're right! Kelly is dumb as [!@#$%^&*]. And a thug. I hate that she is suing people to intimidate them into silence. I don't know how she can possibly stay on RHOC if she is suing Shannon and Tamra. Why isn't Bravo shutting these suits down? Vicki got the smackdown, but Candiace and now this sniffle-nosed idiot can sue their co-stars at will?

We have not even seen him on the show yet! Potomac cannot start soon enough! Monique's daughter Milani is totally her mini-me. I think she is adorable and quietly steals the show when she is in a scene with her family.

There was a lot about MAB's tenure which was watchable. After the damage wrought by LML, MAB's first year in charge was IMO pretty solid. She brought back the background music and signature Y&R style that LML phased out. She also tried to write some exciting SLs after LML's borefest. You could tell the character of Phyllis interested her. I will always remember one scene where Phyllis found out about Sharon and Nick's affair. She broke into Sharon's hotel room, scrawled "I hate you" on Sharon's mirror, then looked at herself in the mirror and saying aloud "I hate you too." However, [!@#$%^&*] went haywire. MAB started running out of ideas, and she panicked and started looking to TV and film for ideas. Her pastiches were very obvious and not well done. She relied too heavily on shocking deaths (Diane, Colleen's HEART!!!!!!), doppelgangers and stunt Primetime casting. One of the worst messes (besides killing off Colleen to provide Victor Newman with a heart transplant) was bringing back Philip III alive -- and writing such a horrendous mess of nothingness that they hastily bundled Philip offscreen, never to be seen again. For me, a longtime viewer of Y&R, this was sacrilege. Philip III was a *HUGE* part of Y&R back in the mid-80s. Amazingly flawed, vulnerable, soft-hearted and shy, this was a male legacy character unlike any I had ever seen on soaps. The decision to kill him off impacted the canvas dramatically back in the day. To make the decision to bring him back without a really good story in place was torture to watch. People cheered when she got fired, I did too, but now I look back on her Y&R with a little nostalgia. It was rarely boring!

Finally caught up with ATL. Bravo should be sued for false advertising! They gave the impression we would see the Nene/Cynthia interaction on the float, but then they ended the episode at that exact moment from the teaser! I must say, it made me giggle seeing RHOP Gizelle on the float look up longingly at the ATL and NYC HWs on the upper tier. Nene has not changed. Spiritual journey? It is still the same complaining, the same passing-the-buck. It is always somebody else's fault, she is always the victim. To paraphrase Kandi from back in the day, her attitude remains as stank as it was back in S5, after the Apprentice fame went to her head.

Lol, I am liking Sutton already! I am rewatching S7 BH at the moment (it's actually better than I thought on first viewing), and LVP defended Kim when Rinna went after her about her arrest and being 'close to death'. Now obviously LVP had major beef with Rinna, but so does Kim who is probably tired of Rinna dragging her every season when she's not around. And Kyle letting it happen. So there is a common enemy there. Interesting that Shannon Beador was at the VPD event! Shame they didn't film it. Much as the HWs hate to admit it, the shadow of LVP is looming VERY large over S10 BH.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Hmmmm, interesting. I had forgotten about that. But IMO: 1. nobody wants to wave that loaded gun around and look like the bad guy (remember Kyle, S1 finale, or Rinna with Dorit, S7). Also Erika on WWH a few years back appeared to be lit. So she won't say anything because she's, like, a super cool rebel who totally gets Denise, lol. 2. The Denise incident occurred on Andy's watch. Kathy Griffin once said that she did coke with him before a show. I don't think the network will want anything like that being brought up again. 3. This is BH. Why let some juicy shenanigans get in the way of petty fake fights about Denise working long hours at B&B, adoptive pets and underwear?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
They totally knew. D'Andra didn't buy that dress to 'support' Leeanne's business venture. She bought it to point out its flaws on national TV and humiliate her And Kary admitted that she kept bringing up the dress at dinner because she felt Leeanne was picking on her the whole day. The smirk D'Andra pulled at the end of the meal as she left the table said it all. She and Kary planned this to set LA off. I sympathise more with D'Andra than Leeanne usually, but that has totally flipped this episode. Dallas sometimes resembles BH in its interactions and this is a prime example. D'Andra will never be the popular girl, and it kills her. Like Kyle, she is in the shadow of somebody else (her mother, Leeanne) and she cannot measure up to their fire, passion and audience support. It makes her feel like the ridiculed chubby kid in middle school all over again. It's sad. Especially because last episode D'Andra was desperate for Leeanne to not just notice her but take care of her. I feel like she wants Leanne to be the mother she never really got... and by the same token, she deflects a lot of the rage and jealousy she feels for Mama Dee onto Leeanne. Kary is awful because she was not just enabling D'Andra's plan, she was fully behind it. No one likes a bully's sidekick, Kary! If Leeanne and D'Andra reconcile (which I doubt), Kary will be left out on the cold. And she knows it. On the upside: Leeanne looks crazy gorgeous without a speck of makeup on. Brandi is a voice of reason! Stephanie: "People-pleasing 101, people." And Kameron is the gift that keeps on giving. Humor, wardrobe, VTs, everything. I am waiting to watch next week's episode to make my mind up about Leeanne's 'Mexican' comments... they are disgusting but I don't know if Leeanne has a thing against Mexicans like Trump does, or whether she just despises Kary. And is unable to articulate the real reason she hates her. So she falls back on this old racist trope without even realizing how disappointing it is to hear here go that route.

Kyle looks like she's had a fair bit of work (facelift, smaller nose), which IMO was totally unnecessary as she was a very pretty and naturally youthful-looking woman. Now she looks like a brunette Erika Jayne doll! Why do they all want to copy Erika? And then Cheap hits me with this legendaryness: This meme is glorious! Ken growling like a pissed-off bear. You know this is going to follow Kyle around forever!

The Joan Collins Fan Club
Joan lets the world know her feelings regarding jeans. As explained to us by the inimitable Michael K of DListed: https://dlisted.com/2019/11/21/excuse-me-as-i-torch-every-pair-of-jeans-i-own/#more-354856 Since my usual hangout spots aren’t a mega-yacht off the coast of St. Tropez, the private viewing room at Cartier in Beverly Hills, the chef’s table at The Ivy in London, and an Arab sheik’s $100 million Manhattan penthouse, I will probably never feel a La Mer-infused cloud of glamour hit me while seeing Dame Joan Collins live and in person. But just in case she ever decides to slum it with the disgusting peasants at a Target again, I’m going to destroy every pair of jeans I own and only leave the house in my freshly-ironed formal sweats (the one with the least stains on them). Because I do not want to be the one who makes Dame Joan dry heave into a Hermès handkerchief from the sight of legs slathered in the fabric of Satan (read: denim)! Dame Joan officially declared her war on jeans in 2010 when she wrote in The Daily Mail that she nearly crushed her Mikimoto pearls into Mikimoto pearl dust when she heard that The Ritz was letting people wear jeans to breakfast at their restaurant, and that too many people wear jeans, which are not flattering at all. Two years later, Dame Joan went for round two with jeans, and once again did it in The Daily Mail by writing that women over 40 should bury all of their jeans and never wear them. Four years after that, she told Elle UK that she never wears jeans when she travels. Well, Levi’s hasn’t left Dame Joan Collins’ [!@#$%^&*] list, because while talking about being the new face of Valentino with Vogue, she spit at uncouth jeans. And since she lives in Los Angeles, it’s amazing that her eyeballs haven’t exploded in disgust from the constant assault of ugly she’s hit with. That’s not to say that denim hasn’t been lucky enough to grace the stunning stems of Dame Joan. She once had her own denim line in the early-80s: And she’s been papped wearing jeans recently-ish. But the difference is that Dame Joan Collin’s jeans are made of the most expensive cotton in the world and are weaved straight onto her legs for a perfectly stunning fit. Dame Joan Collins doesn’t deserve to go through this life with waves of denim hideousness hitting her left and right. She needs to do something about it and ask herself, what would Alexis Carrington do? Alexis Carrington would obviously find out who the majority shareholder of Levi Strauss & Co. is, seduce them, marry them, and get their shares in the divorce so she can sashay on into the shareholder meeting and let them all know that she’s shutting down the company forever. And as she burns every last pair of Levi’s, she’ll toast to the demise of her biggest arch rival, and yes, she’ll toast with the finest burned champagne in her freezer, darling!

“Monique declined to attend the cast trip and production approved her request because some of the women do not want to film with Monique.” Hmmmm. (Besides Candiace) who could that be? Gizelle has been seething with jealousy about Monique for years! Bravo/Production should have told Candiace that, per her contract, cast members DO NOT SUE each other, and that her messy, violent ass is no longer invited to Portugal. OF COURSE Monique didn't want to go on a cast trip with the thug who threw a glass at her and cut her face! I don't blame her! It sucks because I really like Monique, Chris and their family. She was a force to be reckoned with and never let Gizelle outwit her. And now Gizelle has won -- without even lifting a finger! Because that fool-with-no-impulse-control Candiace jumped in there to make this rivalry a thing. The natural rivalry SHOULD HAVE BEEN WITH ASHLEY! You red-eyed loon. Honestly, Candiace is going to find her ass divorced, alone and without steady employment if she continues down this road.

Dallas is not doing great in the ratings, so maybe that accounts for the lack of invites. However, Potomac had a BREAKOUT year this year. It didn't just do well ratings-wise, it became a water-cooler show. I saw people talking about it everywhere. And Andy was obsessed with it. He really seems into RHOP and M2M (which basically fielded all of its main cast at BravoCon). And Atlanta is ATLANTA. No matter my own personal feelings about the last few seasons, ATL has consistently been the #1 RH show for YEARS. I'm really surprised Kandi couldn't have joined Kenya and Cynthia (damn, I didn't even know Porsha was there!). Nene, I can guess why she didn't show. She would not be able to handle being called out by an audience member or another RH.

Having said all that ^^ BravoCon appears to have been a BLAST and I was glued to Twitter this weekend reading about all the panels and fan reactions. Best things I saw/read: (Couldn't find as much ATL tea, which was a shame) omg LOL

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Rumor has it that one member of the BH panel found out about the Pepsi rosé created in honor of LVP and threatened to not attend. Andy had to sweet-talk her into re-attending. My money is on Rinna. I'm a little peeved that BH got all these major panels and coverage. Potomac -- which has the demos that Bravo craves and is in the middle of some major media coverage -- only invited two HWs (Gizelle and Ashley OF COURSE). Also apparently Gizelle badmouthed Karen (AGAIN) at her panel. When is Karen going to get some love from the network? lol

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yeah, SLC has a lot under the surface! Wealth is displayed not in sexy wardrobes, but in land, property, and power. The lifestyle is laidback and western, and people were incredibly welcoming to me even though I am not a Mormon. They have old-fashioned manners, and many are also extremely outward-looking and speak more than one language -- the result of their 'Mission' where every Mormon spends 1-2 years in a foreign country at least once in their lives. Not surprisingly, I met many career diplomats from the State or the Defense Departments. Their internationalism was an asset in shaping foreign policy in the 80s and 90s especially. They tend to be Republicans but more Mitt Romney types than Trumpers. Tho I am sure there are Trumpers. It is an overwhelmingly red state. Alongside all this work in diplomacy/military/energy/defence, there was this other side where women who divorced their husbands were viewed with a mix of awe and shock. Like, scarlet woman! Men who divorced, however, were totally forgiven and welcomed back into the church. Because men, lol. And people were obsessed with who was dating whom, who was in a romance, who was married to whom. Interesting in a part of the world where pre-marital sex is frowned upon! Lots of gossip going on. I would have more respect for Rinna if she pulled a Vicki Gunvalson and screeched "Yes, I wanted her out! And I got her out too! It's my show now!" Rinna and Erika are one-trick ponies. I swear, if I see one more glam squad... And Rinna probably won't even be pushing her kiddies this year because their issues make her look like a not-great parent. So what else is there? She never hosts a party. I am curious to see how it will be. Not to mention Gorgeous Garcelle!! But the lack of concrete rumours coming out of filming is a worry. Bravo usually start the drip-drip of viral marketing for BH many months in advance. Last year, the LVP takedown stories were coming out 5 months before first airdate!
