Online learning but then reality hit. 17 modules and 3 cold calls (POP QUIZ!) will be required. I was like...wait a minute. I thought this would be a TedTalk. Nope. The shi* got real. I'm 50 years old almost 51 but thought, if people can make their kids learn online and I'm helping nieces and nephews with Algebra and Geometry then lemme just give this a whirl. Now I'm in for a whirl. LOL.

This. I'm a Democrat but I could not take the Bernsters. I'm sorry, but I paid for my college tuition by working and scholarships. I know if I take out a loan, I have to pay it back and I did. I know people who sent their kids off to college to places they really really could not afford. That is not my responsibility to come with a bailout plan. It's a debt. Pay it back. These pie in the skies ideas of his to have "free" college were never going to happen. How many years did it take to get a national healthcare plan and now the Right is bent on dismantling it. No way we're going to have free college. And I've gotten into arguments with WAY far Left people who say - well, the more EDUCATION that people get the more likely they're going to be DEMOCRAT! I'm like, UH. I get the reasoning, but not really. I know plenty of Republicans who were very well educated and are racist, dumb, and can't find the United States on a map and think Obama was born in Kenya.

I think I posted before - but I know people in NY that ran in certain circles with Ivanka and crew - and they haven't returned their calls in a couple years. Likewise, not everything is happy in Sunny Florida. A lot of people in his community are tired of the Secret Service presence on his trips down there, and here in Northern VA - I'm 2 miles from his golf course where someone flipped him off. He can win 4 more years but when this is over, their family name has been sullied, and the Republicans know they can never go back but no one will stand up to him. I think in the end, this could do damage to the Republican party for decades to come, so I guess great for them that they sucked up the Supreme Court. They'll need it.

This is how I feel also. I work for a large international corporation and it's embarrassing. Coworkers in other countries don't understand what is wrong with us. And I have no answers because there are no answers. The general feeling in this country and negativity has been Cheeto fanning discrimination and hate for 4 years. And he knows who's voting for him. Just the complete dismissal of Science and any empathy. Even if he loses, he's probably going to launch a media company so that he can continue to pretend to be a Dictator and tell his followers what they want to hear. He'll fan the flames from there instead of the Oval Office.

I'm praying you're correct. I see pictures of the Orange's rallies in PA and it makes me nervous. In 2016 when I voted (I'm VA) - I came out of my polling place and started crying. People in a Democrat tent saw me and a guy asked me...what's wrong. And I said, I have a feeling we're going to lose and I won't be able to stand it if he's elected. He said why do you think we're going to lose? I said...I don't know. Just a feeling. I've never voted early and I did this time. I don't even know how many years early voting happened.

I want to share it to my Facebook page but I think there probably aren't many fans around now that would even know what Capitol was. Makes me sad. I'm so surprised by the sentiment between the actors in the interview of loving the show so much. I remember an interview several years ago with Marj Dusay and they asked her about the last months of Capitol, and she said they had a lot of photo shoots and promotional videos filmed to promote the show, and the feeling was very upbeat because they thought they would get picked up by NBC or ABC. And they didn't - sad.

I loved Capitol. I was 16 when it was cancelled, and I remember watching my VCR tape because I taped it...and my Dad telling me it had been cancelled. I didn't know and I was crushed. To this day I've never really loved B&B because of it. There were so many great actors and actresses on Capitol. Then to make matters worse with CBS they gave B&B a better time slot so that it could suck the audience from Y&R in the East. If they had given Capitol that slot it would have done better.

I voted yesterday. I'm Virginia. I don't know where Biden should spend his time. When I saw he went to Texas, I thought what a total waste. I think FL is too. Continue concentrating on MI, WI, PA and just one more swing State and then FL and TX don't matter. When polls say Biden has a chance in TX - no he doesn't. I don't believe he does in FL either. There are so many paths to win for us, and I don't want Biden spending time in places that won't swing. I'd go after GA and NC before I'd spend time in FL or TX.

I think he should be banned for a year. Everyone else is following protocols and he breached it and then went on the Lam. I just cannot imagine traveling with an 8 month old when you know the risks - get the COVID and then run. I do understand that they said he didn't want them separated in the Hospital if they were admitted, but the dork should have gone to the tournament on his own and not had the wife and infant tag along. If the period of quarantine is 14 days, then the jig is up and they're probably on their way back. I don't remember if it was the 13th or 14th that they tested positive but it's been 2 weeks.

I loved Capitol, and being from DC was excited to see a show not done in the mid-west or west coast. I watched it from beginning to end. I liked the Sloane and Prince Ali story, and I remember the actor who played Jordy Clegg (Todd Curtis) getting into a car accident in real life and they wrote it into the show. Back then I remember one of the Soap Magazines (Soap Opera Digest), voting them the best looking cast on Daytime.

This. I just had another un-friending binge on Facebook. You post actual FACTS and I had 3 "friends" say that they were all lies. They no longer have any recognition of facts or reality.

My friends are scaring me now. I was not in good shape with this a few months ago and then my mood and thoughts got more positive and so did my friends. We just didn't feel we had a chance and then things turned. Now I feel things turning back again and I wish this election was today. And we all argue over whether the early turnout and mail-ins are better or worse for Democrats. What I do hope is this - if Dump's challenge of Pennsylvania counting votes 3 days after the election...if he blocks it and is successful, I hope it backfires. No one knows what's in those envelopes so let him cut off his own nose. I can tell ya, I really want PA and get MN, WI, and MI. Some midwest would be nice since he always crowed about having all of mid America and only the big stupid states in the NorthEast and West went Hillary/Democrat. So I'd love to see a blue AZ, NM, CO, and maybe NV. Iowa in play but I don't hope for that. But it sure would be nice to see some blue in the midwest and a bigger string out West. I have family in North Carolina and they are canvassing heavily and think we have a real chance there. Just a few of these flip states and we win. FL would be a back breaker but I don't count on that for one hot second. I want Pennsylvania badly. I've donated to Mark Kelly in AZ and also Harrison in South Carolina...that bastah Graham needs to go. And get out of the closet. Locally a few years ago I worked on Danica Roem's campaign here in Virginia.

He'll get all of those. We just need MN, MI, PA and WI and hang on to the states Hillary had. I don't worry about the states we're going to lose - I want the ones we can win. FL is a lost cause and we spend too much time there. GA - never going to happen. NC - better chance but probably not. OH and TX can go. Not worth the time. I'm Virginia, and I take every Political call for polls that I get. And I lie. I tell them I'm 100% Republican Trump all the way and I'm switching from Democrat to Republican and I'm not above lying at this point. Trump did it the last time too - there are pictures of him with the gay flag around his back. They have no moral bottom to what they will try and pull. Gay flags, rainbows, and then the first move he made was to try to ban Trans people from the military - over 30,000 of them and say that he consulted with the Generals. LOL. No one gave him advice and he would have eliminated 30,000+ people with no plan to replace them or the jobs they do. The whole family is a bunch of desperate reality TV ogres. Warms my heart though to know they won't have anywhere to go once it's over. NY doesn't want anything to do with them, and his beloved home in FL - many of the people are over him. I know several people in upper circles in NY that have told me no one returns Ivanka and Jared's calls and they are out of the group now. Ivanka in particular always marketed herself as a Democrat and she's a liar.

I watched - I thought Anne stunk. Her whole purpose was to be nasty and she was likely dumb as a box of rocks.

I worry about that as well with NC. But at this point honestly I think it's a better bet than FL. As a Democrat I feel like we've spent way too much time on FL for too many years.

I'm in Northern Virginia and early voting has been heavy here. I hope it's a great sign. The suburban areas have a lot of Harris/Biden signs up in yards. I really want NC to turn over to Blue, and if we can swing Michigan and Pennsylvania and hang on to the states that Hillary had, we will win. I still wouldn't spend time on FL - I just don't trust it and we don't need it. Would be a nice to have, but if we can pull Michigan and Penn then we will be close to shutting the door on him. Polls I'm seeing from Ohio have been disappointing so I'm at the stage where I wouldn't spend time there. Pull NC, MI, and PA. FL would be a nice surprise but I don't trust it. This has been another good time of shedding "friends". Facebook and Twitter have been riddled with Rudy boy's lies and people are eating it like candy. He's a crook. Total crook. So low, bottom of the barrel stuff. I've cleaned house yet again of "friends". So funny that the Dump's followers and Faux News spew the garbage - basically they're going to foreign governments to try to dig up dirt. Treasonists. And magically it happens (just like last time) a few weeks before the election. Just the stuff you find stuck to the bottom of your worst trash can.

I was just reading through this - so I'm way late. What I would say is as difficult as it might be, distance yourself from your friend. Just tell her that she can talk to you about anything and that you miss her, but distance yourself from her. She's made her choice, clearly. It's hard to hear and hard to understand, but there are women who actually don't realize that they want to be controlled and abused. If she was in an abusive relationship before, she's likely to repeat the behavior and choose it again and although this might not be physical abuse, she's being controlled and subliminally she wants it. And she's choosing it. The guy is clearly a drug dealer and surrounds himself with people he can supply and the mysterious trips make no sense for a financial planner. As far as the vineyard goes - how is he making the wine? Where are his facilities on the property or does he just claim to provide grapes to actual vineyards? Does he have a vintner (these are the people who actually make the wine). As far as Electronic Dance Music - I was done with that at early 30's. Don't know how old he is but that's a big clue as to the culture. Not necessarily a cult, but definitely swinger/rec drug crowd. I would say there isn't anything you can do other than to distance yourself for your own safety and your family's safety. Carlo will know everything that you talk to Diana about because she will tell him. She's already choosing other people over you and your husband any time she can, and she's setting boundaries around your friendship by only making herself available when convenient for her or her man. Don't be passive aggressive, but find yourself "busy" when she suggests times and places and parties to meet. Tell her you really don't have a lot in common with many of her new set of friends, but you're glad she's happy. And she can talk to you about anything. Don't say you're worried about her or you're concerned, etc. because it will abso get back to Carlo. He's likely already wary of you. Distance and wish her the best. I don't think a cult but I think he's definitely a drug dealing ring leader of a group he created. I don't know honestly if there's a difference. Some kind of religion or dogma involved (usually). Doesn't sound like religion or dogma is involved but the guy (Carlo) is likely a narcissist who is an attention grabber and enjoys being the center of attention and controlling people. Maybe that does make it a cult, I don't know. But when you say he claims to own a restaurant that he never manages or goes to - and you can talk to the people there and find out that a family owns it and he doesn't have anything to do with it - that's cray cray. Easy enough to ask around for Diana. It seems like she wants to believe anything and everything he says - another indication of a circle of abuse, making excuses, or giving reasons for his actions. She's that person that subliminally doesn't know she wants to be controlled and abused and will choose that over her friends.

My Issue is this - we've been having the numbers discussion for several years now over the Men. Who is the GOAT. And it's numbers, numbers, numbers. It's what people know from casual Tennis watching. The discussion is Federer, Nadal, and the Joker. So you might say you don't want to use just the number to judge someone, but it will happen. You're a Tennis fan and get it. The general public is not and Margaret is nasty. I want Serena to have the number. Call me nuts, but it's the truth. Everything is Stats and Numbers and TV now. Doesn't matter that it came from 1958. Maureen Connelly probably would be one of the greats, but she ended her career at 19 and 9 Slams. No one knows that. They'll remember Margaret Court. And if Serena doesn't tie, it will be an asterisk.

I just want the numbers. She's the greatest, but I don't want the trolls to be able to point to Margaret's numbers and say, "well, she still had more majors". As I've heard Chrissy and Martina say - when they came along, players didn't play every slam, and so many people did not go to the Australian Open. That made it much easier for Margaret to rack up the wins.
