  1. From an HR prospective Kavanaugh wouldn't get hired to stock shelves before a store opened. I took an HR course and learned a lot about how hiring works even for the simplest of jobs. The fact that he is still being given a chance shows how out of control partisanship is right now.
  2. There is some suspense in the room, but these situations can be totally unpredictable. Flake has a visit to New Hampshire scheduled which of course means presidential exploration so he could flip to remain viable but the odds are long of that.
  3. He went from screeching about the Clintons to sobbing about calendars, so he certainly showed a couple of personalities. That aside, I found the Niki/Viki scene on Youtube and I'm watching it now.
  4. I've never seen that but it sounds good.
  5. Scarlett O'Hara is a Senator. Who knew?
  6. Indeed. The level of emotionally instability he has shown is quite telling.
  7. Those were guilty tears.
  8. The soap opera fan in me hopes that Kamala Harris goes all Herb Callison and sends Kavanaugh into a Karen Wolek style meltdown. I know, it's hoping for too much for life to imitate art.
  9. Actually hearing the account is definitely a lot different than reading. I cried listening to her testimony.
  10. There is no way this nomination goes through now. It's already evident that the votes are not there to confirm and there are probably even fewer now.
  11. He clearly was on some sort of sedative or mood stabilizer giving that speech because he was speaking slower and less screechy. Of course it couldn't stop him from saying anything stupid, but it was enough to keep him from going completely crazy in a venue where the country could least afford it. This isn't the first time he appeared to be heavily medicated, he looked the same giving a speech at G7.
  12. I agree with this that there are plenty of people who make it through college without having sex. It was the fact that he tried to present himself this way while being accused of assault that made it seem quite suspicious.
  13. He's desperate and all he has to work with is a fake image that he is some kind of saint. Fox News viewers will surely believe it but realistic people will not.
  14. He's going to go as far as to say he never had sex in college? Some people don't have sex in high school (I don't believe he was one of them), but college is bridge too far to be believable.
  15. That interview will do about as much good as one asking for receipts for crack. It will only make things even worse than they already are.
  16. She was basically acting as a madam. One has to wonder if she told them to do anything else besides dress a certain way.
  17. There is almost always more than one incident and more than one accuser. If this nomination goes to the floor it is getting voted down. Bye Bye Brett.
  18. When a judge starts submitting something as useless as calendars as evidence you really know that desperation has set in.
  19. Bachmann actually beat him out for the Republican endorsement in MN-6 back in 2006. I never thought I'd be thankful for Michele Bachmann, but had it not been for her defeating him he might have made it Congress and quite possibly still be in there.
  20. That is incredibly disturbing. Anti-choice people ignore how men often bully women into having abortions even if the woman does not want one or do something to cause a woman to miscarry so they don't have to pay child support.
  21. I noticed that Viki looked the same whereas Dorian had a different hairstyle in the flashbacks, but I figured that was because production could play with Dorian's style more since Strasser was not in the role when Victor Lord died, but Slezak was around the whole time and always had short hairstyles with minor modifications so they had less room to play with her style. I didn't really care for Sloan. He was boring.
  22. Scenes with Tori are definitely something that I recall seeing when they first aired, especially the flashbacks of her taking out Victor. What I remember most was Jean locking up Dorian after Tommy threw her down the stairs. Really good stuff.
  23. I've said before that I live in the district ASJ is running in. He has no chance and is well aware of that, but is running to steal money from conservatives who donate without any questions.
  24. Garland had the votes which is why McConnell didn't give him a hearing. As fake moderate as Collins is she would have easily been a vote for Garland, as would have former GOP Senators Kirk and Ayotte (wanting to save their seats). Toomey probably would have as well to keep his seat secure.
