I'd say the first five minutes. I have tried watching the first episode MANY times.

First of all i don't care for actor names in a soap opening. The music theme is giving me nothing. The character images remind me of something in the late 90s-early 90s. I was expecting the first soap to premiere in 25 years to give us something new (or something really old-school), but I understand why TPTB might have been a little hesitant to try unfamiliar things. Something like the 80s ambulance opening, or images of the city like Capitol and Ryan's Hope would have worked for me.

Thank you so much! The truth is that I am intrigued by Hayley's story (who would have thought). I really don't want to watch Anita's story though. I am watching clips from time to time. What I don't understand is how Vanessa and the white nurse girl fit into the show as main characters. I don't like that the show is a lot like B&B and the 90s primetime soaps in some ways. Too many big stories within a year. I hate the opening. I like the fresh vibe and the new faces, some characters feel that they have been around forever and that's a good thing. But as I have said before, I wanted this show to be more soapy and old-school in some ways. It is mostly a directing thing.

That was what I was thinking. I don't watch the show, but I always follow the threads. When I read the tree posts, I was like.. ok the show is not very good right now.

What was the point in Lori's return as Mrs. Max Hollister? That little story never made much sense to me. Were there plans for a permanent return? Or even a new family with her as the matriarch?

I love serious reviews from critics who have something to say. Like the vintage ones for the old soaps.

We only got to see about a year. It was not a success and of course I was furious when it was cancelled. Back in the 90s every network wanted a soap to compete with B&B. Only Y&R and Santa Barbara were really successful and were broadcast here for many years.

May I say how much I enjoy your thoughts about this era? In Greece we got to watch episodes starting with Marty's rape.

SJB would be amazing. A code name, love your positivity. I'd rather see Grace Turner show up with a young daughter, than Tara Locke. Never cared for that storyline. I just hope she is not another random psycho.

Unpopular opinion, but I was never crazy about GA as Phillip. I don't care for his looks (too JER Days) and in my mind Phillip should be the spoiled, sometimes bratty, but deeply hurt friend/antagonist to Rick. Someone like a young Linden Ashby would make him more interesting to me.

The Kimberly show and Greenberg's Hope were far worse than the Kirkland invasion. I don't really think that Rae really worked as a long term character in the Ryan universe. Labine obviously loved the actress, but Rae seemed to be on a different show for quite a while.The fact that she never shared romantic chemistry with any of the Franks didn't help things. I liked her relationship with Roger though.

No, but I will check it out. I have seen the actress in many other scenes and I don't find her very interesting for such a part. She feels like a friend of the Basketball Wives, or something like that.

He was never leading man material, it was insane how he ate the show along with Kimberly. These two had someone who liked them a lot at the network, that's for sure.
