  1. It’s amazing that even in 1993 Y&R kept using their classic 70’s scores occasionally! Lauren saying Victor being back from the dead was “absurd”. Given that Lauren was still reeling from the Sheila puzzle piece situation at the time should she have been that shocked LOL? It’s amazing to compare early 90s Y&R to to early 90s ATWT I’ve been rewatching as well, the two shows are are worlds apart!
  2. Thanks so much! That’s really bizarre, I wonder If CBS/Sony has realized a demand for all of this now that’s being reaired. *crosses fingers for a Best of release after this*.
  3. Thanks so much!!! Btw I noticed on your your 1993 playlist that the 9/30/93 ep on YT is mysteriously blocked lol typical. I do remember you shared it at another website, do you happen to still have it up someplace?
  4. Haha I’d be the same way! But in a weird way this works well. It’s a perfect visual of Katherine walking the halls of the mausoleum.
  5. God this 1998 episode looks so gorgeous in 2020 it really hold up well. Why did Katherine’s attic have tarantulas and rats LOL. What the hell was going up there.
  6. Thanks so much @FrenchFan for sharing these, much appreciated!!!! The child actor T.J. Hargrave who played TJ Werner on GL later passed away as victim in the 9/11 attacks. I never realized just how long Mary Ellis Bunim was EP at SFT. In spite of the number of HW’s the show went through I suppose she was the stabilizing factor and why the show still managed to flourish. Lorie Brooks saw Phillip kissing Jill and was writing her latest book based on Phillip Chancellor? 🙊 @YRfan23 Bell sure did love writing those scandalous publication stories from the start! I have to wonder if the all the furor that the original Peyton Place novel caused back in the author’s home town was the inspiration for him. Reading those details for Katherine/Phillip/Jill it must have been insane and thrilling watching that play out, with Jill even doing Katherine’s hair and both of them feeling guilty afterwards.
  7. Raul was going to be Nina’s son she had given up for adoption but with Tricia Cast’s departure they dropped it.
  8. Again it was kept intact when reaired in 2013. Is there that many more commercial airtime in the last seven years?
  9. The bad thing about it is that for Heinle’s first year she did try and was given some meaty material but by the time Latham took over we had Victoria’s sudden transition to sanithood for a hot minute. I can understand that Heinle was not entirely suited for what HT Victoria’s role meant but that didn’t also mean turning her into a complete pea brain who pops babies every few years. The other weird thing is Heinle has completely proven she can be icy and cool yet the writing still wants us to believe she’s a beloved heroine. It’s a combination of both, although why Heinle hasn’t been replaced so long ago is a mystery even to Heinle herself LOL.
  10. It took what, 2-3 years for that video Ashley shot for it finally to be exposed completely? The whole Sharon/Diego/Victoria stuff with Nick & Grace shacking up provided some great fodder at the time for the Newmans. Surprised they cut out the Raul and Mac scenes when they were present when they had reaired this back on Thanksgiving 2012.
  11. When it was announced that Davidson had been rehired there was a brief smear campaign about ED only being hired because of her work and name recognition on Days, I recall Shattuck was behind that.
  12. Alex was so regal as Diane; Sandra was great as Phyllis, she’s the same age as Stafford so I don’t find her old and she brought her own fierceness to the role. Her and Michael were so much fun together. Jill and Katherine are definitely tHe highlight of the episode loved how their feud was heating back up again at this time.
  13. Was that when Sharon was wearing Phyllis’ lingerie and taunting Nick about how she knew about the affair on their 10th wedding anniversary l? I LOVED those scenes, and was rather disappointed in the way the story went afterward as by the time Cassie’s death anniversary came around it looked like Nick & Sharon were going to come out stronger & better until we got Phyllis’ WTD story. What trash.
  14. Haha good to know, I bet Lauralee and Colleen are happy she’s away. I do wonder though if Maria and Marissa ever did make up.
  15. I’m not surprised at all. What’s most interesting is in spite of the initial jeering a couple weeks back is that Monday’s 1981 episode of Y&R had a LOT of folks on their official Facebook page very interested and intrigued.
  16. LOL indeed. Maria has rubbed her own family and most of LA the wrong way. Aside from a weird NYT article a few years ago I haven’t heard much of her activities, it would not surprise me if Bill Jr. has her locked up in a panic room where she can do her arts all day.
  17. Is it bad that I’m very disappointed they chose the 10/29/1997 when the 10/31/1997 episode was so much more epic!
  18. That’s fascinating, I need to watch more of 1989 then! Jim & Nikki I’ve seen a little of but they felt short lived while poor Lauren couldn’t have Brad or Paul so she settled with Scott.
  19. She also fell out with her own sister who had played Marissa Barton, Diane’s assistant from 1998-circa 2003.
  20. Did Nikki and Christine interact at all in 1989?
  21. Word on the street is MAB’s two sister in laws don’t care for her much 😂. I can’t remember if it was right before MAB was fired or JG’s first go around where Thudley & Colleen threw in the offer to write for Y&R.
  22. Gotcha. The only regret I’ve heard Bell ever felt bad about was killing off Phillip III but that also cleared the way for that era to thrive as well. It’s interesting that Walton and Bergman won Emmys for their roles within a few years , I can only assume Bell & Co. must have felt vindicated.
  23. The funny thing is even LLB grew tired of Christine’s saccharine status and was one of the reasons she turned down offers to return in 2008 because wanted “bitchy” material to play if I recall right.
  24. Haha yeah Danny was such an 80’s leftover in the ‘90’s, although I appreciate the show did try veracity by saying Danny sung “Rock On” and having Danny go be in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. I don’t know what else would he have done otherwise aside from possibly shack up with Lauren? I’m always surprised he was on the show for so long too. Probably the funniest thing was upon his 2003 return Paul & Lynne had Googled Danny and found out he was considered a washed up has been.
  25. Very true. 1990-1994 was pretty much Y&R’s second golden era.
