  1. I don't think it was ever meant for a 2024 launch. Maybe 2025 if we're lucky.
  2. LOL. Hope she doesn't go stealing any babies.
  3. Oh, I interpreted it as Andy thinking that Lacey played Kendall. I also think Lacey couldn't recall Bianca's name.
  4. Lacey Chabert talks about playing Bianca.
  5. I really like that we have the chance to get in on the ground floor with Beyond the Gates — something soap fans haven’t had in decades. I gave it a shot with Sunset Beach, Passions, and Port Charles, but my interest eventually faded, and I just stuck with my old faithful, All My Children. I’m really hoping BTG takes off.
  6. I tuned in for a brief moment and saw Greenlee straddling Zach, both of them sobbing like they’d just shared an emotional, non-penetrative climax. It was... a lot to process.
  7. Good guess. If the line in the script about smoking or non-smoking is correct, then the person in question would have been one of Susan Lucci's co-stars between 1988 (when smoking was banned on domestic flights) and 2000 (when the ban extended to all domestic and international flights).
  8. It's truly sad news. I wasn't an avid viewer of DAYS, but I certainly knew of Drake Hogestyn and his iconic role as John Black. He was a soap legend, and when legends pass away, it's like a piece of television history fades with them. His impact on the genre will always be remembered. My heartfelt thoughts are with his family, friends, and all the DAYS fans.
  9. Thanks for the heads up. I need to watch this preview.
  10. What’s notable about this launch is that it’s the first soap opera debuting in a time when social media is such a central part of our culture. It will be interesting to see how the show uses social media to drive promotion and keep the conversation alive from one week to the next.
  11. Absolutely. For instance, if Debbi Morgan is cast and wants to travel from Maryland to work three days a week, I’m sure they would accommodate her. Tamara Tunie is likely getting similar flexibility, given all the projects she’s involved in. However, I believe newcomers or less established actors are likely required to adhere to the rule of living in Atlanta.
  12. I’m glad they changed the title. I have a pet peeve about shows that start with “The __,” like The Chew, The Revolution, The View, The Talk, and The Real. It just feels uninspired to me.
  13. I'm confident the show will make exceptions (within reason) for talent they really want to bring on board.
  14. Is there a character from the released descriptions that Debbi Morgan could play? I assume she's a top contender for both MVJ and JHC. Or perhaps MVJ created a character specifically for her, and the casting description hasn't been made public yet.
  15. I’m practically on my knees praying for this to happen. Please, please, please—just like Sabrina Carpenter says! As I mentioned in the other thread, All My Children is sitting on a goldmine of characters ready for spin-offs, whether as limited series or TV movies. Plus, there’s a whole roster of notable alumni who would probably jump at the chance to come back, especially since it’s a short-term gig!
  16. All My Children has a rich lineup of characters that could be perfect for spin-offs, whether as a limited series or TV movies. Additionally, the show has a strong roster of notable alumni who might be willing to return, especially since these projects wouldn’t require a long-term commitment.
  17. Oh my stars! Thanks for sharing @slick jones.
  18. If you remember the day of the week they talked about this let me know. I, too, like watching the host chat segment and hearing All My Children anecdotes.
  19. I'm curious if these character names are final. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them change by the time the episodes are filmed.
  20. I missed this. Was it a recent dinner with Robin or a dinner back in the day?
  21. I'm surprised to see Julie Hanan Carruthers involved in this project, given that she's been out of the industry for over a decade and has been working in real estate. While I understand the value of working with trusted colleagues from the past, I believe this is also an opportunity to bring in fresh talent. It's a chance to take a bold step, much like Mickey Dwyer Dobbin did when she took a chance on Wendy Riche.
  22. It's fascinating how life works out, with Kelly and Mark eventually becoming the hosts of this show.
