  1. Imagine if Liza's son, Tourneur (sp?), had come out as a teenager?
  2. For one thing, I think SEARCH would have added an African-American family to its canvas. There seemed to be a push on the part of CBS to have greater focus on minorities on all their soaps in the mid- and late-1980's.
  3. Photo 1 First row (from left): Lewis Arlt, ?, ?, Maree Cheatham and John Cunningham Second row: Andrea McArdle, Courtney Simon and ? Third row: ? (although she probably played Suzi), Billie Lou Watt (?) and Val Dufour Fourth row: Joel Higgins and ? Photo 2 First row: Michael Nouri, Meg Bennett and ? Second row: Millee Taggart, ? (I'm talking about the kid she's holding), Peter Simon and ? Third row: Duh (LOL!) Fourth row: ? and ?
  4. Before or after David brought them back from the dead?
  5. Didn't they get married then leave town so Seth could work on his writing career?
  6. LOL! You know what I think? I think I would have had Jason Maxwell "discover" Jeff and persuade him to sign on with his agency. (Yes, they had male models back then; and I could see modeling agents and ad executives jumping on Dr. Jeff's wholesome good looks in order to sell products like cologne and underwear.) To Jeff, Jason would argue that being in the same industry as Erica would help solidify their shaky marriage. In reality, though, separating the Martins would be his actual goal...especially when Jeff's career takes off while Erica's stalls (thanks to Jason), leaving Erica feeling very, very jealous.
  7. I think so. Agnes Nixon got the idea from a news story about a pair of home burglars who were breaking into homes and holding the residents there hostage.
  8. But would you have been happy being "just a doctor's wife"? Because that was Erica's problem: she needed fame and fortune in order to prove herself worthy in her father's eyes, but Jeff wasn't happy she was away in NYC all the time. Of course, if Jeff really loved her, he would have relocated to NYC, but I'm not so sure Erica would have appreciated that.
  9. I'm not saying MEK is obese. But anyone carrying excess weight around their midsection is at risk for heart disease, diabetes, etc. That's a fact.
  10. Charles Frank. Now that was one handsome doctor!
  11. Who knows? The way budgets are these days, they might've posed for these pics at the Culver City DMV.
  12. I didn't. I would've been much happier to have Rose outed as someone who underwent surgery to look like Lily in order to steal her fortune and life.
  13. I fear for MEK, I really do. He's carrying around too much weight and he needs to do something before it affects his health.
  14. ME (as SS announcer): Now, don't laugh...but the role of 'Joan Borman Kane' will be played by Miss Joan Crawford. (beat) I said don't laugh!
  15. ANNOUNCER: "ALL MY CHILDREN: It's more than a storyline, it's a legacy." ME: Which your network tossed to the dumpster long ago.
  16. Patrick + Marty + Dylan = SO! MUCH! HAIR!
  17. A DYNASTY reboot? No thanks.
  18. Why do I feel like the words "SCANDAL!" and "EXPOSED!" should be running underneath that photo of Donna Mills and John Conboy?
  19. That sounds good, Mitch, but unless Kyle were an amnesiac, too, and he had no idea who Reva was or what previous history they had shared, I'd be worried about damaging Kyle's character along with the Kyle/Reva relationship; and Jeva fans be damned, but I would do whatever it took to keep both relationships, or the whole push-and-pull of a Reva/Josh/Kyle triangle, "alive." Not really. If Megan McTavish had bothered to include flashbacks to when Kyle and Reva spent that time on the other Amish farm, I think viewers would have been more accepting of the story, believing Reva had come to Goshen in the first place because the place and the people reminded her of some vague memories that she otherwise could not have explained. Those were the days....
  20. Honestly, I vaguely recall the scene-in-question, but I'm definitely sure there was a phone call relaying word about the crash.
  21. Pretty much. Although he did remarry...to an unknown woman...off-screen. (Seriously.) Then, Maeve got a call one day and learned Kyle, his wife and (I think) their child had been killed in a plane crash in the Himalayas.
  22. It might've, if GUIDING LIGHT had had an EP who knew what they were doing. Kyle and Reva were my couple, so it grieved me terribly to witness their destruction. Then again, perhaps that was part of their magic? Two star-crossed lovers, never afforded a chance for lasting happiness, no matter how hard they tried.
  23. So many men, so many mullets....
  24. If anyone should be coming back from the dead on AMC, it should be Phil Brent. IIRC, Phil, last played by Nicholas Benedict, was killed off in a plane crash while on assignment for the government. But we all know how meaningless that is. I say, bring back Richard Hatch or Benedict, then facilitate a reunion w/ Phil, Tara, and even Charlie and Kelsey.
  25. I blame the network's sudden inability to trust its audience with human nuances and complexities.
