  1. GH called Laura Baldwin's rape "a seduction"; DAYS calls Laura Horton's rape "an affair." God give me strength.
  2. Ah! Okay. I got it now...I think...? Anyways, here's one I'd add to the list: Jacqueline Courtney's performance as OLTL's Pat Kendall, when her character learns that Talbot Huddleston, Karen Wolek's first john (of many, so many she still, to this day, doesn't remember all their names), was the hit-and-run driver who killed her young son, Brian. I could understand Pat literally going for Talbot's jugular when Karen drops that bombshell in court (even though, I still want to know why no one in the courthouse didn't rush toward her the minute she got up from that bench), but between the timing of that revelation (mere minutes after Karen confesses her hooking to all of Llanview, and to Larry) and the pitch of Courtney's voice and actions in that moment...it just did neither actor nor character any favors. In fact, it kinda gives credence to the long-held rumors that then-EP Joe Stuart was having an affair with Courtney and viewed her as the star of the show.
  3. So, does that mean Reese was really Bobbie's long-lost daughter?
  4. I guess this is the price Merrick Garland must pay for attempting to appear impartial?
  5. The time when TPTB at DAYS decided to punk its' audience.
  6. I always forget about Billy and Rita Mae Bristow. Did they have any familial connections with the core families?
  7. Thanks, @Soapsuds, for the correction. For some reason, I remembered it happening later than it did, lol. It's really a shame that Douglas Marland wasn't alive to see the Neal Alcott storyline through to the end. If he had, I think it would've been a dynamite storyline, complete with star power in the form of Mary Kay Adams as Neal, Terry Lester as Royce and Richard Bekins as (IIRC) Neal's ex-husband, Michael.
  8. And I don't really care either way. They're both boring as hell to me. But, then again, so is much of GH these days.
  9. It certainly doesn't sound like pre-brain injury Jason.
  10. I'd love to know whose idea it was to bring GA/Marco over to GH, because, to me, it just seems so random, even if I think it actually turned out well. No, we won't! I'm pitching a production of David Mamet's "A Life in the Theatre" where he and Roger Howarth play all the parts.
  11. Ah, okay. That does seem like foreshadowing, doesn't it, lol?
  12. I agree. IMO, the only time bringing a former ABCD character over to GH truly worked was when Gerald Anthony joined GH as his OLTL character, Marco Dane; and I mark that one success down more to Anthony and the chemistry that I found between him and JE/Tracy than I do to anything else.
  13. How was he compared to Jason? Have they forgotten that Jason wasn't "born that way," and that his "Stone Cold" persona is the result of extensive brain damage?
  14. Well, I wouldn't say Steve Burton is ugly. I just think he got extremely lucky when he joined GH. Okay, I wasn't sure, lol.
  15. Whatever happened to Robert Dwyer? Were he and Robert Cessna, who wrote for THE DOCTORS during Marland's term there, one and the same?
  16. Plus, I think Taylor Miller was unpopular with fans, and Mary Page Keller likely made it clear she wasn't coming back. I would agree with you, except I think Claudia never truly fit into what became of DYNASTY after its' first season. Without Matthew and Lindsay, she didn't have much of a purpose on the show. But I do think her actual death was one of the show's stupidest, lol.
  17. You know, not that I think Burton is a total snack or anything, but I'll be satisfied if he gets off his high horse for once and plays to his strengths - which means being shirtless and mute in all his scenes. If he doesn't want to be shirtless because it's against his religion or whatever, then - I dunno - go make movies for the Dove Channel or something.
  18. I agree. I always cringe whenever I see or hear about another series that is set at a high school and revolves around members of the student body, because you just know they're gonna do something insane - like have all the characters remain in the same class and/or at the same grade level for multiple seasons, or have a teacher follow them from year to year, and even from high school to college, like Mr. Feeney did on "Boy Meets World" - in order to keep going past the show's natural expiration date. (Plus, I just think classroom scenes are among the worst kinds of scenes to write and to watch, lol). If I were to develop a series about a high school, I'd center it around members of its' faculty instead. As usual, @dc11786, I think your ideas for the Donovans are wonderful!
  19. [!@#$%^&*], and here I thought Y&R had an opportunity before Donna Mills passes away to right a decades-old wrong and make Diane the long-lost child that DM's LIAMST character, Laura Donnelly Elliott, had always wanted.
  20. OMG, has he been hitting the Krispy Kremes again?
  21. You mean you're not dying to see the Ben/Betsy saga from LOVE OF LIFE finally wrapped up after all this time? @Vee says he's done worse. I dunno, I've witnessed only 3 of the 27 characters he played on GH.
  22. I agree. IMO, AMC/OLTL crossovers worked, because of Agnes Nixon and the fact that they were tonally similar, but GH always seemed to me to be a different species, if that makes sense.
