  1. What can you say? The past several months on GH have been weird as well, lol! No cliffhangers, promising scenes and storylines that lead to nothing, endless amounts of time spent on events that very few, if any, care about; moments that just make you sit up and wonder if you're having a stroke.... If even part of this is Elizabeth Korte's vision for GH, then I'd be very afraid.
  2. Every week, I would read previews and such for the show; and every week, my reaction would be the same: "If this [!@#$%^&*] is bad on paper, I can only imagine how it's playing out on screen!" I tried watching PASSIONS from the beginning, but I bailed fairly quickly, because it was clear that the show was nothing more than JER run amok. NBCD literally handed that man a briefcase full of cash to inflict his issues on the American public; and for that, I'll never forgive them.
  3. I agree. It's an awkward situation, to be sure, but I don't think it merits "punishing" her for her spouse's sins.
  4. I'm not sure I can trust Ron Carlivati to write for this particular character properly.
  5. I agree. Our best hope is to keep electing Democrats to the WH who will be there to appoint new justices as the older ones die off.
  6. Ten? More like thirty, lol. LOL!! Some seem to think that a cliffhanger has to be this momentous event, like bombs going off or some such. Sometimes, though, a cliffhanger can be as simple as a knock on the door.
  7. No arguments here, lol. If anything, I’d add SuBe. That [!@#$%^&*] was awful from scene one.
  8. If it does, I guarantee you won’t see any of it hit GH. “Because, at GENERAL HOSPITAL, there’s always room for more!”
  9. That’s being almost too kind to the show, lol. TBH, I don’t think anything on GH has made even a little bit of sense since…when did Garin Wolf take over again? Anyways, it was just before that, lol.
  10. "Guza unleashed," with no one for him to answer to, was dark, ugly and misogynistic af. But it also was a helluva lot more entertaining than everything that came afterward.
  11. The only thing Chris and Dan moved was me to tears.
  12. You know things are rotten in the state of Denmark when even yours truly would like to see Bob Guza return, lol. I agree. But I'm serious about Guza coming back! I totally forgive the Sonny/Jason/Carly hero worship, Bobby, just come back home!
  13. I agree. In fact, that's all we hear. That, and he keeps the actors happy. Frankly, I'd take a show that's mired in debt and littered with cast members who are sticking pins in voodoo dolls of each other over Frank Valentini's GH.
  14. And I know there are gonna be folks who will say, "Well, Shannon Peace is a WOC, who championed for Sprina BTS." To which, I say, "Representation is one thing; GOOD representation is another."
  15. I was convinced that Patrick Mulcahey COULD be a good HW when I watched B&B's transgender storyline, a story he was largely responsible for, and the last time B&B had any writing with any depth to it. With all due respect, @Toups: I understand your POV, but I'm not gonna debate a subject like this with someone who thinks JER is the greatest soap writer who ever lived. On his own, the man had 3-4 good years at one show; and even though his writing managed to pull said show out of the ratings gutter, there is still debate over whether his success came at the expense of the show's integrity. @ranger1rg, on the other hand, is someone whose opinions on this I take seriously, or more seriously, because at least they remember when Y&R was written by people who knew how (even if we'll have to agree to disagree about Shick, I think, lol).
  16. Which got hyped to the heavens by the likes of Daytime Confidential, thus creating the monster that continues to devour PC to this day. And I STILL say it wasn't so much that he was so good but it was that what was there before him was so bad! I wouldn't be surprised if the next HW's are Shannon Peace and Ashley D. Cook, lol. Can't be worse than me wishing for the return of Gene Palumbo, lol!
  17. It's like what Victoria Wyndham or another AW vet said when NBC finally pulled their show's plug: "Well, they can't [!@#$%^&*] with it now!"
  18. Someone: "Bite your tongue!" Me: "No, bite YOUR tongue, 'cuz you know it's happening!" ICAM! I despised the hero worshipping of Sonny and Jason, but at least GH wasn't so bland!
  19. Trust me, it'd end with Guza being handcuffed and taken downtown by police (sitting right next to LW, who just couldn't anymore with Trevor St. John).
  20. With scenes running an average of 45 seconds. The thing is, if you're gonna tell a story that spans that amount of time, then you have to keep up the momentum and the suspense - ESPECIALLY when you have scenes so freaking short! - something that FV's GH just can't do, regardless of who is nominally the HW.
  21. Yep. I'm sure TPTB will spin it another way, but...c'mon...we know what went down, lol. I'm sorry to say that I'm at that point as well. Love him or hate him, but he wouldn't have put up with Frank's crap. He would've pushed through with his vision and dared Frank to say boo about it.
  22. See, this is why I felt patting FV and RC on their backs so much JUST because GH had fallen so low with whatever regime was there before them was a bad move on viewers' and soap "journalists"' parts that would come back to bite everyone in the end; because, if you were really paying attention, you could see that what those two were doing was all smoke and mirrors. The plain truth is there's never been any substance to anything Frank and Ron have done. Not on OLTL, not on GH, and ESPECIALLY not on DAYS, where Ron runs amok now. But there was more than enough "bad" going around at that time on GH to hold their asses to the fire. Yet, it seemed like all most anyone cared about, aside from their overblown and overplayed favorites, was "Oooh, look at who's coming back for the 50th!". Frankly, I didn't gaf who Frank and Ron were bringing back for the 50th, or any of the Soapy Goodness like "Magic Milo" or "The Two Faces of Kate" that was less like actual, GOOD soap opera and more like a bad drag act. I knew what I was watching was uglier than homemade sin. So, now, here we are: stuck with a controlling, micro-managing EP, who's been made to think his [!@#$%^&*] doesn't stink and who will never, EVER be lodged from this show, no matter what.
  23. Enjoy it while it lasts. It'll be gone again soon enough. Yeah, it seems Frank actually preferred the whole "Jason is brainwashed/the password is 'Susan Moore'" crap that's been rumored, lol.
  24. Yep. Like you said, we're basically at square one. Except now, going forward, everything will be more in keeping with Frank's vision, which makes you question why they bothered firing O'Connor and Van Etten in the first place.
