  1. That "ho daughter" comment and silence afterwards was hilarious. When you're full of ugly , it's hard to edit around it.
  2. OMG I secretly think of that moment whenever something goes down on any of these shows. Charrrrisssse is in my mind, ugh!!
  3. Crystal had a boy and a girl with Ed. The son during the 3rd season (I think she was already pregnant when she and Ed got hitched, yes?) and a girl towards the end of the 4th season right as the Rodbell's Diner was about to close. I thought it was weird when Dan mentioned during the 8th season (I think the episode when Darlene gets married and he has his heart attack) that he hadn't talked to his father in two years, when Ed supposedly still lived in Lanford. But I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean they would speak to one another.
  4. Agreed. Especially if they show scenes with her two daughters making amends with Teresa. She's already been on WWHL at least twice since NJ returned and she's still classic trainwreck TV. She sang along with footage of her and former lesbian lover singing that ridiculous song some 7-8 years ago on WWHL, and she clapped back at one of the fan's write-in questions because she can't take criticism. Her perfect lil' doses of crazy insecurities still remain.
  5. Geez, Atlanta has been filming so much, I forgot about all of the stuff coming up. I think the season has been okay so far, but it's not popping; just a slow simmer. Too much Porsha, and the balance is off. Sheree is so messy, hanging out with Kenya at the gym one moment, and talking crap about her the next day with Kim. That's what'll always keep Sheree as a supportive role and not a tentpole. Nobody really flocks to her to be her friend. She's a fairweather friend, for sure, and never keeps her alliances intact. I'm already sick of Kim. Her thirsty desperation to be relevant and get back on the mothership is so obvious. I don't mind the fluffy casual dating scenes with Cynthia. As long as she's sporting that hair, I'll watch. She's flawless. I don't mind Kandi's "minions" and she is always the most grounded, so anything with her is good. Thank God the Mama Joyce era is over. OC: That was a rough reunion. A lot of nothingness, both in terms of the women themselves and what they brought to the show. Meghan brought nothing. Peggy I tried with her but she's a one-and-done. She was upset because nobody asked her how she's doing, post-father's death. Right? That's what she was trying to convey after all that? Okay. 'Tis a pity, because I think Deiko made for a good Househusband for the show. I can buy the tears between Vicki & Tamra, whether they're crying because they genuinely miss each other or because they're tired of the nastiness and want to save the show. Either way, I'll take it. Shannon did NOT want to make amends with Vicki and only did it because the cameras were up and the waterworks were already flowing with Vicki & Tamra huddled together. She has NOT forgiven Vicki and will still be a bitter pudgy hothead next year. Kelly is messy and can't keep her alliances straight either, but a newly single woman will keep her on the show next season. I'll take another year of Lydia because the bible beater can rile up Shannon's feathers and is a straight-shooter. Bring back our lovely Lizzie to shake up Tamra.
  6. Wow, Estelle Parsons and James Pickens Jr. And the return of "David Healey!" This is all shaping up very nicely. Meanwhile, a Roseanne mystery I always wondered about: How/why did the entry to the basement switch half-way through the series, and then return back to where it should've always remained (off the right side of the kitchen, beyond the "floating" stove/counter area) at the series finale? Around seasons 6-7, they made it seem like the entrance to the basement was from the laundry room/service porch, which, as noted early on, itself was an addition made to the house because "Dan got tired of watching Roseanne doing laundry in the rain."
  7. Agreed! Especially the first version, with Amy Locane still in the credits (before they started adding in/taking out, and updating some cast shots). It was very polished and fresh for 1992.
  8. For some good ol' dishy dramas.... MODELS, INC. (1994-1995, Fox). It ran a full season on Wednesdays after 90210, as Melrose Place had just made their move to Mondays. RINGER (2011-2012, The CW). Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, it was dishy, dramatic, with a slight cheese factor (low budget). I would've loved to at least get a second season. The cliffhanger had the one twin realizing her dead twin was still alive.
  9. Agreed. The Barney Fife version of Jackie, seasons 7 through 9 were awful. I much preferred her being the "cool" Aunt or the job-hopper who dipped in 'n out of relationships. Even as she got a little bit goofy in the 5th season, ("I have... hauled meat. I have... eaten meat.") she was still grounded in reality.
  10. Yayyy to Beverly Hills' promo! @Cat I agree with all. "Crotchfruit." LOL Agreed with seeing too much blonde in the promo. The new girl was just a blonde head getting in the way of the vets. Was there a second new blonde? Like, a new "friend of"? Anyhoo, at least we got snippets of Camille, but boy I'd just like to see her back as a legitimate castmember. Can't they Sonja Morgan her in half-way through the season? Loving seeing LVP as the rightful Queen Bee that others want to be BFF's with. OC Reunion: Lydia vs. Shannon. All types of win for Lydia with that one single comment. Just brilliant. Lydia vs. MegaNeck. When the psychic talk wasn't working, she started trying to go for the drag queen aspect, inferring Lydia is anti-LGBTQ. Nice try, but we still don't like you.
  11. Argh, my hubby will be SO disappointed Camille isn't an "official" Housewife. She better be featured as heavily as LuAnn was in S6 of New York when she was foolishly downgraded to "Friend."
  12. Oh yeah, according to Bravo's editing, the Caroline/Teresa rift began when Teresa referred to Caroline as being as Italian as The Olive Garden in one of her books. The Manzo crew were stewing in their backyard together, acting like it was a huge act of betrayal. Yeah, I was wondering why Sheree's lil get-together as she prepared to tell her grown children about the abuse was taking place at Kandi's house...
  13. It warms my housewives-lovin' heart to see these ladies' faces. I love the 3 OG's along with the best find of all, Dorinda! New Jersey is blah and will likely never recapture their old spark, and OC has been an unexpected disappointment, despite thinking early on they'd have a great year with 7 castmembers. Gimme some Atlanta, Beverly Hills, and New York and I'm set
  14. Those are delicious taglines. ITA with Nene & Sheree's being the best, with Cynthia being runner-up. I'm excited for Beverly Hills, but where is our original blonde diva?
  15. @Cheap21 I vote for No. 2! She's ready for some football!
  16. Thanks for posting the link! Wow, perfect casting for Darlene's daughter. Love the photos on the mantle of Nana Mary, Jackie from her cop days, and Bev. Good question on Estelle Parsons. I wonder if she's up for returning?
  17. Agreed, a good decent start to the season. I like how NeNe fit right back in seamlessly, as if no time had passed since her exit. She had a good start, but it IS NeNe and she's her own worst enemy, and that whole rape comment has really put a bad taste in my mouth regarding her. Her whole schtick about how she enjoyed working in LA but loves being back home in the ATL is hogwash because we all know she's back for the money to pay back what she owes, a la Teresa Guidice. Kandi keepin' it real as always and not putting up with fake ass bitches like Dodge Omni. Funny to see Sheree as Omni's only friend because Sheree is as two-faced as they come, and in all honesty, will never be a tentpole character of this franchise. She's always a follower who stirs the pot and throws shade because she's a broke as a joke hater. But she's still good at stirring that pot for TV purposes. Cynthia makes 50 look amazing, and I want to see more of her life post-Papa Smurf. And I hope we see more of Malorie, their mama, and Cynthia's goddess princess of a daughter, Noelle, who lucked out in getting both her mother and father's best traits.
  18. Pretty crazy, huh? I think I jumped in around early 2011 when hubby got me into Atlanta's 3rd season, Beverly Hills' first season, and then watched crazy Danielle in reruns of New Jersey's first & second season. I remember when we were all delighted when we hit 100 pages! Ha! Agreed, thanks Cheap! I come here first and then browse the actual soap opera stuff. One thing I'll give them semi-credit for is that we see their full body shots again and they didn't manipulate their images to make all their heights the same. When you've got big ol' NeNe and lil Kandi looking the same size, it's just goofy. Same for other shows like having LuAnn the same height as Sonja, etc. Or worse, the last couple years when they tried to give us a sense of depth by having a giant Kandi in front, while making the women behind her progressively smaller. Sheree was suddenly the size of an ant.
  19. Just saw OC last night... Wow, in the middle of that episode, hubby and I are just laughing/exasperated at how horrible half of these women are, and we started going through the list of who should stay and who should go... Vicki: Queen bee. Drama queen, yes, but the O.G. who can still whoop it up and has an interesting family life outside of the petty women drama. Peggy: Growing on us every day. She's quiet, but doesn't take [!@#$%^&*] from the other women. Plus, her family is cute and her daughters aren't annoying, entitled brats like others (i.e. Rinna's over on BH) Lydia: Generally very level-headed and diplomatic and calls others' B.S. out. Can sometimes be a little flaky/sensitive, and the whole uber-religious (i.e. weirded out by drag queens) is her weak spot, but overall she's needed for this clique. Tamra: The cockroach that just won't die. Just as my hubby hates Kyle Richards and LuAnn, this one will not go away either. We just need to dismantle her Mean Girls entourage... Shannaloon: Her outburst reaction to Vicki & Tamra making nice-nice was hilarious. Shes' so afraid her sidekick will leave her high and dry... and she will. For her health and sanity and recouping any sense of pride, you need off of this show. But, for our own entertainment, I'll take her for one last season just to see a complete meltdown. Kelly: I'm liking her less and less every episode. That patronizing "awww" when Tamra/Vicki hugged, her overall interjecting into conversations when she needs to let others hash it out without interruptions, her badgering of Peggy, her focus on food instead of Vicki. She's just too messy and increasingly obnoxious. Plus, did you notice how when she saw Vicki was calling her, the way she said, "Ugh, it's Vicki..." and then acted all concerned as she talked on the phone, she's phony as hell. But, her separation will give her another season, but no sympathy from me. MegaNeck: I hate that I kinda liked her for the last two episodes of last season and the first two of this season. She has no sympathy for others and just generally does not care about anyone else. Fake, dumb, and useless. Has she really lasted for 3 seasons or is this only her second? Good Lord, she needs to fade away with nary a mention ever again.
  20. Once she gave up "The Countess" persona around season 5 and let her balls swing freely wherever the wind took them, she was gold.
  21. You summed up how I feel about New Jersey. Melissa & Joe always play it up for the cameras. Thankfully, he's not talking about releasing poison out of his ink pen anymore. I don't buy Tre & Mel's friendship either. Soggy is just a blubbering mess this season. I like Dolores too, but she doesn't really have a WOW factor. A definite good supporting role, though. But if she's always going to tag-team it with Soggy, she's setting herself up for failure. Margaret is meh. She's got some cute qualities, but again, I'm just burned out by this whole group and feeling like I have to care about someone that I don't really care about. Case in point: the Dunkin' Donut twins and Amber from a couple years ago. Other than Teresa and her "dorters," I just don't feel a central unit to this show anymore. Hell, maybe it was Caroline's sourpuss face and adult-children that provided the central family unit. Either way, there's just something lost with this show. When I see the 5 castmembers together, I think, "This is it?" I need some other people there. It's basically Teresa, her fame-whore sis-in-law Melissa, and three people who are there to fill chairs. They should've given Danielle full housewife status so we can see her family life and be reintroduced to her daughters. Also, she needed a better re-entry. The ladies are on vacation and Danielle randomly pops in at breakfast on day two of the trip? Huh? Plus, zero drama with the two people you'd expect tension from (Tre, Mel). So it's like, okay, so? Danielle, please give us the crazy, and hopefully something interesting will happen between now and the Posche fashion show.
  22. Aw, the Roseanne set is back! Warms my heart I think (hope!) we'll get a softer, better side of Roseanne, similar to seasons 1-5 Roseanne. Hopefully, Darlene won't be too negatively sarcastic either, and Jackie won't be too oafish as she was during the final 3 seasons. Still no word on Johnny Galecki...?
