  1. I'm halfway through the episode, and you're right -- it is awful. These Marlena/Leo scenes are PAINFUL. I don't know how anyone can enjoy this crap. The story was already really bad, but Carlivati stepped up his game with the birthday hats. What is EJ's vision supposed to be here? How does he see this playing out? None of it makes any sense.
  2. I'm on the East coast. Only the last segment was pre-empted.
  3. I thought the same thing. Gio looked hot, period. In his short time on the show, he's gone from cute kid to hot young man with a smokin' body. Time to get that shirt off.
  4. Are any daytime parents worse than Brady and Kristen. I mean, YIKES.
  5. The writing for that scene was a cringe eye-roll. Hearing Poppy romanticize having sex with teenage Finn was...something. -- More bad writing? Luna going on about "all the lies" Poppy told her and still continues to tell. I mean, this is the Luna who killed two people. BTW, what is $Bill's endgame with Luna? For how many years does she have to live with him?
  6. Brandon Beemer can definitely still get it. That's one soap trope that I really hate. The no-memory thing is beyond ridiculous.
  7. Yeah, I agree. I do not want that. At all. LOLOL
  8. I do think the negative social media about NAC started when he left the show, and it's always been ridiculous. His off-screen "personality" apparently isn't warm enough for some people, who want him to talk about GH and former cast members in every interview. I don't know why he's getting the snark from people who paint him as an arrogant, selfish person -- without any evidence. He can be lowkey, pensive, and thoughtful, in interviews, and maybe that's not enough for some people. If he shows up at a fashion show, "He'll appear anywhere there's a camera." If he doesn't go to a birthday party, "He doesn't care about the people he worked with." I don't know how he can win. Within his first few months on GH, many of us felt he wouldn't be there long. His breakout roles in the Menendez brothers miniseries and on Grotesquerie have launched what seems to be a promising career. Is he an acting superstar? All I know is that any young actor on GH or any of daytime would be thrilled with this same career launch.
  9. Yeah, I did mean Kristen. Thanks for the correction and the info.
  10. Exactly. And how many times do we have to see a repulsed look on Luna's face when she thinks about Tom being her father?
  11. It really is an embarrassing throwback. A question: Does Ava think her mother is dead? If not, why didn't she and Brady ask Rachel if they saw her -- or anyone -- at Aremid? (Yeah, I know -- they're terrible parents).
  12. Steffy to Ridge and Taylor: "You two share such a beautiful history and an epic romance." Is this bitch putting me on? I cannot WAIT for her marriage to blow up when she finds out who Luna's dad is
  13. I've read good and bad things about NAC, but we really don't know him. We have no idea why he didn't attend that birthday party, and it's ridiculous to claim it's because he thinks he's too big a star to be there. I like Tabyana Ali, but I'm honestly not seeing her as some breakout star from the soaps. I just don't. GH seems to be trying to give her story, but this stuff with Kai is deadly.
  14. -- That entire scene with Tracy screaming about the mouse on the bookshelf and ordering Sasha to kill it was ludicrous. I understand needing a way to let everyone know Sasha is pregnant, but come on. -- I do not care that Brook Lynn can have a baby. I do not care that Chase can't father one. But why does Brook Lynn look so confused when Chase tells her "I can't get you pregnant"? The Babies Rabies on this show continues to be pathetic.
  15. Those heroes in makeup are working overtime. Wardrobe? Not so much. Dressing characters in black doesn't take much thought.
  16. There's nothing wrong with that post. -- Does GH have a vial of Botox that they pass around every day? I've never seen so many actors without a single line on their faces. Eva LaRue hit her upper lip especially hard.
  17. I could really go into as much detail about Bold's awful sets as I did about Y&R's. $Bill's "mansion"? It's not. Steffy's hole-in-the-wall? Hilarious! The other day (while bored with the dialogue) I noticed her kitchen. It's about 4'x5' and has no counter space. None. Sets-wise, Bold is actually in worse shape than Y&R. GH is still putting up new sets all the time, but recently they've all had the same design aesthetic -- minimalist and with shades of blue and grey with occasional cream. Then they throw in actors wearing all black. PASS.
  18. Yeah, calling that place Il Giardino is literally putting lipstick on a pig.
  19. I love the breadth and depth of the sets. These people have money, and I love a soap that mirrors that with great sets that are, yes, "big." Look at Y&R. One reason we all love the return of the Newman ranch is because it speaks money. What else does on the show? Very little. I you showed a non-viewer some photos of those sets, they'd never guess that these people are worth millions. Victoria living in the tack house is ridiculous, as is Nick not having a place to live. Phyllis "lost" her place, too. Billy's new place is nice (although I understand the criticisms of it) but doesn't represent someone with a big bank account. I see the Abbott mansion and Sharon's place as iconic, so I'm OK with those, but we're still having nightmares over the ruination of the Chancellor mansion. It just reeks of "We have to save money so we need smaller sets that we leave up for long periods so we don't need a crew to move them in and out." Then we end up with characters moving from Society for lunch to Crimson Lights for coffee and then back to Society. Ugh. My hope is that BTG embarrasses shows like Y&R which used to be the standard. I don't need two new sets per week (a la GH). I want to see MONEY on the screen.
  20. -- Sidwell is in the opening credits? Jesus. -- Kai still in the hospital? And now they're making us wait to tell us what's wrong with him and why he "can never play football again." I guess I should be happy that the bad football scenes will end. -- Today's show was a dud for me.
  21. -- Joss's ego is enormous. She really thinks Cyrus is covering his tracks only because she told him she thinks he's the killer? Yeah, because most killers don't try to cover their tracks. -- Is anyone calling for more appearances by Stephen A? I have no idea what Frank's obsession is with this Brick character.
  22. So Charlie's Pub gets a renovation, but they kept the landing as anyone enters the club -- and then has to walk down 2 steps to the main floor. Does this make sense to anyone? What club would have a landing that practically screams "insurance liability"? You can fall down entering the pub, and if you've had a few drinks, fall down leaving the pub. There are also 2 steps to climb to enter the pub. Ridiculous. One of these "landings" used to be at the entrance to the Quartermaine foyer, but someone wisely eliminated it. I don't know who's designing these sets.
  23. I think it's likely this is where Bradley Bell is going. If Finn is Luna's father, that makes Sheila Luna's grandmother. This show is nuts enough to do it.
  24. Glad to see a documentary about a soap. I just wish it wasn't BOLD being highlighted.
  25. TK looks much better than he did on his last run. Styling is much better. I'm sure he did it himself. In other news, Scott Clifton is back. Did he have to amp up EVERY. SINGLE. LINE. ???
