  1. I agree that it makes sense to promote all three shows. For me, there's little sense discussing what Y&R and Bold clips are used, because there's nothing on either show that is working in the "hot drama" sense anyway. It's all lame and boring. I watch Y&R and Bold religiously, and only because I'm addicted. It has NOTHING to do with the quality of either, because I know I'm watching trash. Right now, both of those shows are hot garbage.
  2. I will NEVER tire of that "Welcome to Fairmont Crest" finger snap!!! I don't like the promo, though. Not only are the Y&R and BOLD pairings weak, but there's too much closeup camera work. Doesn't work for me.
  3. Today's episode was filled with one shot after another of a sad Carter staring into space and pondering the loss of his bestie Ridge. Boring af. Also boring? Dumbass Hope AGAIN entering Steffy's office to push her buttons and tell her she has no choice but to get with the program. Boring part 3? Dumbass Brooke bemoaning that Ridge isn't at Forrester "where he belongs." You know, the same Ridge who dumped her for the 24th time. It is inexcusable for a 30-minute soap to spin its wheels like this. Making fun of Daphne Rose isn't enough to make up for it.
  4. -- How many chem tests does Cody need? -- Anna needs to get a life instead of spending 24/7 thinking about who talks to Cyrus. Every day, she wants to arrest someone in Cyrus' name. -- The PI woman with the dog. Yeah, this show needs more side characters. BLOAT. At least they previewed that the dog lives.
  5. Body & Soul is over, but this show is still a mess. -- The hospital going into bankruptcy is ridiculous -- even though it looks like it's already broke (no staff, no patients). -- Sophia finding someone to adopt her baby and then that couple bailing already is ridiculous. -- Leo's behavior with Doug3 is different than with every other hot young guy on the show. I can't stand his lecherous act with guys, but the way he treats Doug3 is completely out of character and ridiculous. -- Johnny and Chanel just reconciled and already they're talking about having a baby? Ridiculous. I do not have faith that these last couple months under RC will be anything but trash.
  6. That hairstyle on Emma makes her look 30. Lulu has four tables with customers and is completely flummoxed. FOUR.
  7. I'm 20 minutes into the show and already rolling my eyes. -- There were 7 scene changes before the open. SEVEN. In under 3 minutes. -- Kai is the one who confronts Cyrus at the bar to leave? KAI. Are you kidding me? -- Lulu looks around Bobbie's and decides she belongs there. Minutes later, Joss tosses her apron to Lulu so she can leave with Chase while Lulu handles everything at Bobbie's. Are you kidding me?
  8. hehe I'd be down for it. And trust, in 2025, Marland would have some oversexed young bucks in competition with those heiresses for those farm boys.
  9. Really terrible soap. Watching Victor writhe in pain while he sits on a chair is not good soap. The lack of direct follow up from the Jordan and Ian stuff is baffling...and boring. But is that "back to normal Sharon"? If this is supposed to be Sharon playing a busybody, I don't like the way Sharon Case is playing it. She comes off like she's medicated. Those scenes with her at the Newman house with Adam and Chelsea were just weird. The Adam and Chelsea stuff, BTW, is so boring I can't talk. I do not care that Chelsea is just there for Connor. I do not care about the scenes that get us to where she crawls into bed with Adam. The entire show has me bored outta my mind.
  10. I do enjoy. I think he's even bigger now than he is in these pics.
  11. Yes, he's on. I know his storyline since he first appeared has been non-existent, but he looks too good for me to care.
  12. I doubt that she takes any of the blame for that.
  13. Just checked my Xfinity TV grid. For next week, the 2-3 PM block is labeled "The Bold and the Beautiful." No mention of the BTG specials. The good news is that anyone who records BOLD on their DVR will automatically get those shows. Those BOLD reruns? Laughable. Time after time, BOLD has a chance to feed us a true classic episode, and instead we get some recent National Geographic special of cast members walking around in some foreign country. YAWN.😮‍💨
  14. DAYS has no budget. We all know that. But has anyone done LESS with no budget than Janet Spellman-Drucker? Aside from not being Albert Alarr, she has done NOTHING for this show.
  15. You're probably right. Only an amazing start by BTG will get CBS and the other soaps to pay attention and step things up. Even if the first weeks of Gates make us all really happy, we all know how tough it is for a new soap to gain a foothold and have ratings "success." If BTG isn't a hit from the jump (however you define that), the other soaps can just turn their heads and continue to push their trash because they know we're like addicts who can't quit them.
  16. The hospital stuff is so bad. Yesterday I couldn't help but watch the two lonely extras (a doctor and a nurse) move behind the desk while Brady and Steve called Tripp. None of it resembled anything like a real hospital. They walked around aimlessly, and I LOL at how many times one of them reached for a file folder -- not a computer in sight. Oh...let me take that back. At the rear of the set, it looked like someone shoved a computer monitor up against the wall. The screen was flat against that wall, as if a broken monitor was pushed out of the way.
  17. Incredible news. This is beyond anything I thought CBS would do as part of a promotional push. I don't think we could ask for more. This is an amazing launch. Also surprising is that Y&R and BOLD haven't seized the moment to do something larger and wilder and more exciting.
  18. Among the many reasons I hate this "EJ holds Rafe hostage" storyline is because I despise plots that make no sense and that should offer no redemption for the criminal. Has EJ thought this through? What's he planning to do with Rafe? Keep him there forever? It makes no sense. Redemption? LOL. We all know EJ will get away with this and that nothing will happen to him. Then there's the Woman in White storyline. Another mess. You have to ignore all common sense to believe Kristen's mother lived there all those years and knows nothing about the family or the world. Who delivers her groceries? Who pays her bills? Who gives her that haircut and dye job? And now, Kristen is going along with her nutjob mother. Like the EJ/Rafe story, characters are put in situations they should not be able to walk away from. Suspending belief has always been part of watching DAYS, but they're crossing the line, especially since we've also been put through the Body & Soul nightmare.
  19. I wouldn't call TH "wonderful," either. However, the truth is that role isn't written for wonderful performances. for wonderful acting. For me, that means her skills + her looks is good enough. I like seeing her on my screen, and I can't say that about everyone on GH
  20. -- I guess we all have our takes on acting. I know this board in general thinks Tanisha Harper is awful, but I've stayed out of those discussions because I just don't see it. I don't think she's bad and I'm fine with her performance. Doesn't mean I'm "right," but I did want to offer my perspective on her. -- On the other hand, I agree that the Oscar actor was really weak. I blame the show for all of that, though. They gave heavy front-burner story to someone who couldn't handle any of it when they had other actors of his age in the cast who could.
  21. I have Xfinity, and the TV grid is available for the next 2 weeks. Finally, today, BTG showed up on the grid and I was able to schedule it on my DVR. I'm in the Pittsburgh area where it'll air after BOLD from 2-3 PM -- directly against GH.
  22. I'm awaiting a clear answer to that, too. These larger sets -- the new Newman ranch, the previous Newman house, and Billy's new place -- are great, but it's a mistake if this means fewer sets overall. The last thing we need is even more characters running between Society and Crimson Lights.
  23. Still not understanding the wardrobe choices on this show. The only woman dressed in color was Carly in a vibrant red. Every other woman was in black or deep wine or deep green or deep blue -- which read as black at first glance. Either the lighting has to change or these wardrobe people need to step it up. Speaking of black, where do they find that shoe polish for Sonny's hair?
