  1. I think you and I might be the only two people who are good with a Ryan Paevey return๐Ÿ˜‚ I loved looking at him, and I never thought he was a bad actor, either on GH or at Hallmark.
  2. -- The Sonny and Justine scenes are painful. -- Drew's tan is so dark it's distracting. -- Does Deception do all their marketing on hicktown Home & Heart? Is that really the demo they're trying to reach? Throw in a TV host acting like Leanne Morgan and it's like Hee Haw. -- That is until Maxie collapses. ANOTHER disaster at Home & Heart ๐Ÿ˜‚
  3. And I don't think we're going to get answers. I think we're supposed to hand wave it all away and just accept "Now Leslie is rich."
  4. Great questions. I think it's a problem if writers don't address this stuff.
  5. Thanks for the trust fund information that does offer an explanation, although it also opens up other questions such as the one you mentioned about how Peaches would discover this fund after decades and only when near death. Anita must have put a lot of money into that trust. I understand interest, but wow...it's a shame Anita didn't make sure Sharon and Tracy were given a dollar or two over the years. But I get it -- we're not supposed to think about all this stuff.
  6. All of that makes me question the sweet story Peaches told about how Barbara named Leslie. If Barbara wanted nothing to do with her child, why would she insist on a first and middle name? This makes no sense to me, and just comes off as a way to soften Barbara in our (and Leslie's) minds. And maybe I'm stupid here, but how does Leslie become wealthy and have the money to move inside the gates because Barbara is dead and Peaches (with the smooth glowing skin) is dying? How does finding out who her father is entitle her to part of anyone's fortune?
  7. But you're talking about a show that skips beats all over the place. Look at the beats skipped in the June reveal, as everything has been rushed like crazy To give us plot, plot, plot. Even the Chelsea/Allison story has a ton of skipped beats. We saw them meet and on a date, and then it was on to Stalkerville. On reflectIon, I'm giving the show credit and saying Vernon is NOT the father. I know the anvil dropping has been incredible, but I cannot they'd be that dumb to write a major plot development that doesn't hold up after even minor inspection. The timeline is all off.
  8. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚
  9. The reason I say no to killing off any kids is because GH already has 3 major characters/actors to memorialize. We're already at Death Overload.
  10. I hope my sarcasm was clear. ๐Ÿคฃ
  11. I agree. It's all messier than it had to be, and not in a good way. How many "Who's the Daddy?" plots are we going to get? Maybe they can throw in Jacob's father as Samantha and Tyrell's bio dad. -- So many anvils dropped that Vernon has to be Leslie's father. Short term, that provides explosive story, but I'm not sure it's a wise decision in the long run. Too many people in this cast are related to the Duprees, and there's definitely a shortage of men. -- I'm looking forward to an extended period without illegitimate babies and kids being given up for adoption and discoveries about who the real parents are. -- Good to see Ted and Andre scenes, although I wish they'd give Ted more with his own kids, and not just Eva. -- I do not buy Andre's pining about Ashley. Nothing about their dates made them seem like a real couple. -- Derek has now been wheeled into the ER on a gurney twice in 6 months. Really, BTG??? And implying that he's mentally in a bad space over Ashley? -- Poor Derek has no family. None. -- That ER room was so basic it looks like the hospital can't afford equipment. Maybe Madison would come off more like a real doctor if they gave her some real props. Oh, and decent lines.
  12. That's the kind of decision that worries me about Paula and Jean.
  13. -- I understand giving us a convoluted and utterly ridiculous trial. I appreciate the attempt to make it work. I just don't think it did. A courtroom trial doesn't work for me if every day I'm reminded how unbelievable the whole thing is. -- DAYS had a good first few weeks after Ron was fired, and I praised the new writers here. Since then? I haven't been a fan. It all feels slow and plodding to me, as if the writers are stalling before they move onto their own story ideas. I'm bored.
  14. Sad, sad news. Tristan Rogers was a good, genuine actor and by all accounts a good, genuine man. And while I know it's soon and mean no disrespect to Tristan's memory, another major loss at GH really puts the show and Frank Valentini behind the eight ball. How many of these memorials can they do in a year? Does it ever get to be "too much"? And how does the show make sure one actor/character isn't short-changed? GH has had SO many losses in such a short time. I don't envy them.
  15. So glad Will has been promoted from his job as intern! Made my week!!! I hope they give him a pencil and allow him to design!
  16. I'm on the East coast. Network news took 20 minutes from th middle of the episode and then took the last few minutes of the show.
  17. They can toss away lines about Leslie's wigs, but that does not explain where all that money went -- while we also watch Leslie throw all her bills into the trash. Leslie is already a larger than life character, so making all these details outlandish is the wrong way to go.
  18. -- Does Daniel sit in the park with his guitar all day long? --Daniel playing the guitar is not a storyline. I rank it up there with Billy's podcast. Complete garbage. -- Can someone please give Michael Damian a makeover?
  19. With the way this has been written so far, you really expect this kind of storyline? As GLATWT88 said, the execution was horrible. I had no problem with the dance session being held there, but no one else around? Really? I was immediately taken out of the scene and couldn't believe what I was watching.
  20. I made it clear I was talking about characters on a soap.
  21. -- This breakneck pacing has to stop. It's practically ruined this week. -- The June storyline is a disaster. She's all clean and sober now? Has a manicure right out of a $150 salon? Perfect makeup? Grammar like a college graduate? Happy to be off the streets? Done playing with her Monopoly money? It's all so, so bad. -- I'm still waiting for an explanation as to why Smitty and Martin changed the names of kids who were around 10 years old. -- I'd also like to know why that photo June carries around looks like a sepia-tone pic from the 1960s. -- Vernon told Ted that Nicole was too good for him to begin with. These Duprees are too much. They should deal with the mess in their own lives and stop bragging that they're better than everyone else. -- Vernon and Anita told Ted to fight for Nicole. Five minutes later, they tell Ted to get out when he's talking to Nicole. Make it make sense. -- How is Ted supposed to "fight for Nicole"? Help me out here. He sends flowers and cards. He's attempted conversations with her many, many times and she always shuts him down. He said he'd do anything to make the marriage work. I don't deny Ted has made big mistakes and has a lot to make up for. But he can't fight for someone who outright refuses every outreach. And Nicole getting hooked up with Carlton? LOL Yeah, that'll go well. -- I do not want to see Ted get with Leslie because Nicole doesn't want him. I do not want characters to be that stupid. -- Nicole should not be Martin's therapist, and making excuses that she's behaving more like his mother doesn't excuse this ethical lapse. -- Am I supposed to feel something about this Peaches character dying? Because I don't. You can't throw a new character on the screen, have Leslie weep when she hears that character is dying, and expect me to care. -- I am happy they're dispensing the asexual path for Kat. That is a losing sexual lane on a soap, and no, I don't care that it's something new and that it "could be" interesting. I'm not here to learn about aces and aromantics when it revolves around a vibrant character like Kat. -- Glad to see Uptown reopened after closing so ONE COUPLE could have a salsa lesson. Jesus. -- A few posters here have claimed that or are wondering if the writers care. I can't disagree. The pacing and story choices this week have me wondering what the hell is going on.
  22. Brook Lynn is the perennial no-fun wife. She rarely laughs, she's never up for a good time, she dresses like the Amish. She's the Debbie Downer of soapdom. Why wouldn't Chase stray, even for craziness like Willow?
  23. -- Others have already commented on this, but I honestly don't know what you're watching. This is such an overreaction that it does seem like bait. The actors playing Rocco and Danny are recent, but they're no better than Mazza, and let's face it, GM has charisma and presence that they don't have. -- I do have to LOL at Gio's work as a lifeguard. He has time to hold long conversations with pool guests and never even glances at the water to see if Kristina is taking another plunge into the pool. -- Different strokes and all that, but I don't have a problem with Tanisha Harper. She does fine in a role that doesn't ask for all that much. She's a perfectly serviceable soap actor, from looks to talent. -- Josh Swickard? Also great soap talent, and that face and body will always get him work on TV movies.
  24. WHAT. A. JOKE. I'm sorry, but this is awful writing.
  25. Billy and Sally hold a business meeting AT THE PARK. That says everything about this show.
