-- Donnell looks good with the facial hair. It's another show glow up, but a good one. -- Are they really going to talk about the cotillion and dates for it and who belongs there until MAY? -- I'd really love to see Deanna on a date with Diego, and have it all blow up Ho Vanessa's entire world. How long can we go on without seeing Deanna? -- Am I seeing some people here talk about Hayley's conscience and how bad she feels? Really? LOL -- The Hamilton mansion continues to look like a trashy Temu-decorated mess. That set is atrocious.

-- Gotta love this show trying so hard to make us believe Vanessa still cries for Doug. As if. -- The Hammer actor is good looking. His coat, cap, and gloves look more runway ready than homeless, though. -- Bill has so much power with prosecutors that the mugger faces a max 15 years. One call later to a judge, Joey gets the guy released from jail.

I'm really ok with the Crimson Lights set. The update a few years ago was good, although I do miss the tables with the fringe hehe. I think I'd miss the googly eyes if they were gone. They're iconic to me. The problem is the lack of traffic. The place does so little business it could never stay open. Liz Hendrickson probably thought she gave us a great wide shot of the whole place, but instead reminded us that NO ONE GOES THERE. The lack of extras on this show is alarming, and really hurts it. Even broke ass DAYS does better, somehow always making Brady's Pub look busy and the street mall looking ok. Y&R? We get a server and maybe one couple at a table. The GCAC? The over-60 crowd. Elderly people who need bland meals, no crowds, no joy.

-- Noah had more chemistry with Audra in one day than Sienna had had with him in months. -- Sally vs Chelsea gave us some good scenes, but it all falls apart when you look behind the curtain and realize it's just more awful business talk about who's running what media company. -- We've never seen ANY media discussed on this show. -- What will change when these companies again change hands for the 40 time? Nothing. There's no stakes in any of it. What does it mean when someone "goes after" someone else? Nothing. -- Elizabeth Hendrickson does a nice job directing, but things were awfully static again today. Characters took their places and barely moved from the sofa, the bar stools, and the coffee bar. -- I would advise her to stop with the wide shots at Crimson Lights when there's NO ONE else there.

-- Maxie choosing Spinelli this quickly? WAY too soon, and I don't believe it's over. It just makes no sense to end it this quickly. -- Will we see Maxie get jealous when Nathan moves on with Lulu? -- Kirsten Storms looks great. -- Are they paving the way for a Josh Swickard exit? They're really burying his character. Chase is bent on destruction. -- I did enjoy the Michael/Chase fight. More of that, and shirtless, please. -- Rick Hearst was excellent today.

-- I guess when they taped the Gayle King scene with Anita, they didn't realize she'd be going to much shorter hair. -- The interview was a good idea, but the execution was just OK. I wish the Know Your Lemons info was part of the interview to give it more heft and gravitas. Everything scripted was kind of cliche and generic, and there's no way a national broadcast gives a segment to that -- especially since we heard Anita say she told them what was off limits. -- Yes, I know Anita is an EGOT winner and can call all the shots any time, anywhere. -- Hayley had a conscience about fingering the wrong guy for mugging her for about 20 seconds -- then she went through with it. Not exactly a good person, that Hayley. -- Hayley had to meet Randy at Uptown? These public meetings are a problem, especially when everything discussed could've been a text or a very quick phone call. -- And Mona has A LONG way to go to turn Randy into "a good man." -- Undercover work on a soap is fine, but this plasma story is still really shaky for me. I don't understand the coak-and-dagger in corners of bad areas of town. Maybe that's where Hayley and Randy should meet. -- Smitty looked absolutely ridiculous playing undercover journalist in the hoodie. That was laugh out loud stuff.

-- The Will/Electra/Dylan story fails for me because they pretend there's not a single other option for Dylan than Will's house. -- Every Carter and Daphne scene is filler. -- Every conversation between Eric and Ridge is the same. -- Brooke is a bitch. I wanted Katie to deck her. -- Bradley Bell usually takes 6 months to get bored with characters. Is he already bored with Deke? Such a mistake.

Right on all 3. We didn't need another Leslie. Anastasia didn't need to be this extreme. Vanessa is a madam and a whore, and Nicole knows it. I understand having friends for years and accepting them, but she's a disaster. No wonder her kids stay two blocks away at Banneker. I liked Mona so much, but they're quickly ruining her for me. The Tyler Perry analogy is on point, and I don't want to see that.

Could it be Leslie's? I'm sure a house can be built in Fairmont Crest in a couple months 😂 Wardrobe on Gates is 🔥 🔥 Set design is not. The Duprees, Dani and Nicole all have decent sets, but the problem is that they all look like they were designed by a firm with one set of blueprints. All 3 sets could be part of the same large house. So could Kat's place. Bill and Hayley's place looks like trash. It's cheap and gaudy. I guess that's fine if it's intended to explain Hayley. Bill's rich and expensive-looking office gives a stark contrast. Smitty and Martin's place is decent but pretty cramped. Eva's and Ashley's apartments are nothing special. Joey's place looks like an uncomfortable hotel room to me, with horrendous lighted wall sconces. Other bad sets are Joey's casino room and that awful mall cafe coffee set.

First of all, thanks for the info on breakdowns. Interesting stuff. I thought Dani's comment was below the belt, too. Vanessa looked like Elvira, and that is not a compliment. Even worse is that they returned to the sex games a day later. I just have no interest in watching sex scenes with Joey and his whore. Same. I like Ted the character and the actor. I also like Shanice. I don't see the fire others see in their relationship. At all. I just wish I understood how far away Banneker is supposed to be. Izaiah works there, so it's close, right? Yet Vanessa the Ho acts like her kids go to school in Siberia. I do not like this religion-heavy turn they've taken with her. It's especially ludicrous when she's flirting her ass off with a criminal who's a possible killer while saying things like "I know you're a good man." And no, I don't need lessons about Lent.

It makes no sense. She's afraid to be home even though it's secure and guarded like Fort Knox, but she's fine being in a hotel and going to Uptown. Maybe we're just supposed to see how stupid Hayley is. She's just OK to me. I have more problems with the writing. Every point she makes is so ridiculous that I can't take her seriously -- nor do I understand why anyone would entertain her. I felt the same about Leslie sitting down with Anita and Vernon at the club. In what universe would they put up with her, and for that length of time?

-- I agree about the Eric storyline. Ithink they took (another) wrong turn when they were on the right path. -- Will is a himbo idiot. So dumb. And although I'm no Electra fan, I don't blame her for feeling as she does about simpering Dylan, who's thanked Will for 485 times for his compassion. Then she hugs him AGAIN. I don't trust her at all. -- Ridge was insufferable from Monday to Thursday, but Brooke took the cake today in blaming Katie for everything.

Agree with all of this -- Seeing a judge talk to Mariah would have made the story better. Why not play those beats instead of having near-comatose Mariah walk all over town? -- The park cafe set is nice. I like it. Still, I find it absurd that people would sit outside in the dead of winter. -- Society always looks like it should be closing for lack of business. The GCAC is even worse. The place is always DEAD even though it's a hotel. That revolving door doesn't even get a spin. -- The extra in the booth at Crimson Lights was hilarious. I was bored so I kept watching him, and he kept pointing to the menu like it was special and that he had 100 questions for the server. -- You're so right about movement. Directors plant characters for minutes and scenes, and that's it. Deadly. -- The business stories continue to be a big fail. Characters meet and talk about getting the company back, but no one does anything. No lawyers, no executives, no nothing. Just "Victor must be somewhere doing something to save us!"

-- Great clips for this episode, with Tony Geary's excellence on display. -- Alexa Havins was wonderful today. Just superb. -- Still, I think I would have preferred the final scene to be with Genie Francis. -- I have to say that I'm not a fan of memorial episodes where people get signs such as candles or cards with cars or lucky shamrock chips. -- I think I'd forgotten how stunning Maurice Bernard was as a young man. Damn.
