  1. Yep, and Whit Johnson is hot from the back AND the front. ABC News has THE hottest guys working for them. I think David Muir does all the hiring. SAME. Always.
  2. I fully agree that Audra is a great character. Still, I can't stand that Josh Griffith has her moving from one company to another...and then back to the former company and then to another. All she talks about is being in charge somewhere. NO ONE spends 2 weeks at a company and gets upset because they haven't been named CEO. She took a job at Newman WORKING FOR NIKKI, and immediately decided she could never be in charge there because family. And then we had to listen to Audra call Nikki a "legend in the business"??? Jesus.
  3. Speaking of sets, can we talk about the GCAC? Like almost everyone else, I was thrilled to have that set back. For the most part, they're using it well. But what's with all the living room furniture -- sofas and plush chairs and sideboards -- pushed up THISCLOSE to the tables? I can just imagine eating dinner while someone sat on the couch right next to me, staring in my face. On most days, we see only two tables in the entire dining area. How that place stays open I will never know.
  4. Hey, has anyone heard if Thomas is a changed man?
  5. It is iconic. What's needed is more extras -- more signs that the place is busy and still relevant. If we had that, a lot of these complaints about the set would go away.
  6. There's SO much repetition on this show. SO much copy-and-paste. Can you imagine if BOLD ran an hour? Imagine running 2 episodes back-to-back. Jesus.
  7. And? I like the Crimson Lights set. I don't know what the problem is with offering that opinion.
  8. I think it's to use up the notebook they have filled with GAY QUIPS. The Nora Ephron stuff was so bad, so dated, so let's-try-real-hard-to-be-campy-and-hilarious. Just awful.
  9. The thing is, I'm fine with these boxes being checked. I love seeing old storylines revisited, seeing characters from years ago brought back. The problem is that Josh Griffith introduces them with fanfare, and then the follow-through is PFFFFTTTT. Every single storyline ends as a disappointment. Take the Cameron Kirsten/Sharon story. What a great month -- followed by NOTHING. No emotional trauma for anyone involved. All we got was a Sharon Case statement that she was excited about where it was going for Sharon. That was all company-speak, because it led to months of NOTHING except Sharon inheriting a company from a psychopath who apparently ran it all from PRISON. And now we're reduced to Sharon having zoom meetings from her coffeehouse. Kill me now and light me on fire.
  10. You absolutely nailed exactly what's wrong with all these business stories. In addition, we have execs changing positions AND companies all the time -- and on a whim. None of it makes sense. What happened to the days when we saw actual Jabot lines and products and an argument over shelf space? I had problems with those, too, because of the stupid idea that only 2 cosmetic companies existed and that one of them had to be put down, but at least those stories weren't like potato soup made with mashed potatoes. (I don't know what that means, but neither do the business stories we see). What does Chancellor-Winters do? What does Billy do? What is Chance doing? Can anyone explain what Sharon's company is all about? And yeah, the Cassidy First thing is a nice touch to history, but that's meaningless because it's the last time we'll hear about it.
  11. I'm going to be the outlier here -- I really have no problem with the Crimson Lights set, including the jukebox, eyeballs, and puppet. I'd miss that set if they ended it or drastically changed it. But why not change that side area. That makes no sense unless you're just a fan of having a space where ONLY cast characters can talk privately. But Sharon holding her zoom meeting from CL? No. Just no. That's really just an in-your-face reminder of the sets problem on this show. If they cared about Cassidy First, they'd turn that side area into an office for Sharon.
  12. The same can be said for ANY character on the show -- that it's run Its course. Can the writing for Ava be better? Absolutely, but the same can be said for Carly, for Nina, for Sonny, for Liz, for Laura, for.... You just don't drop a talent like Maura West. This is nuts.
  13. It really feels like the writers just don't give a sh_it -- as if they write a script just to get it over with, and repetition makes that easier. It's hard to feel like anyone cares.
  14. There's no doubt in my mind -- Eric Braeden is definitely reading his lines off the counter, off the desk, off of the chess board, off of whatever. They do look good together. However, Summer still reads as young/immature for Chance. Of course, I'm saying that while also acknowledging that Chance is kind of a himbo who doesn't have many deep thoughts rattling around in his head. I do the same, Paul -- on Y&R more than on the other soaps.
  15. Wow. It's off-the-rails time when I read multiple posts saying that Maura West can leave GH. I have no words.
  16. Have to agree. I just don'T understand the idea that someone with a disability can NEVER be let go.
  17. Here's a clip of KS actually caring about her story and character. Take note of Spinelli's hair and how bloated and blown Scott Clifton is LOL
  18. Add me to the list of people who don't care about KS's weight, but about her wardrobe and styling. It's insane that she has control over these things. The fact that she's so tortured about her clothes and look but STILL wants to be on national television is worthy itself of multiple therapy sessions. Instead, she gets to hold the show hostage -- another thing I will never understand. GH would lose nothing by cutting the Maxie character. Storms' portrayal doesn't even make sense. She's not believable -- at all -- as a fashionista. She exudes nothing that says she'd be a romantic catch. As a mother, she doesn't bring any warmth or feeling to that role. On top of that, GH has now given her an "I'm in financial crisis!" storyline that makes NO sense considering that she has a job and money coming in from Nathan's pension and elsewhere -- and that we've never seen her spending wildly on anything.
  19. I respect your opinion on this and all things soap, but I just don't agree. Everyone can be replaced.... Everyone. If something happens to Frank tomorrow, another person will be in there to do that job, and it just doesn't make sense that there's no one who can do it as well. Regardless, I'm not asking that Frank be replaced. I just question this whole "He's a miracle worker with a budget" mantra that we hear constantly.
  20. I just do not believe there's no one else who could run GH. I'm guessing there are MANY people who would take that job and do it well. The problem is that GH -- and every soap -- lives in this world where they look for replacements only in the soap world. Who gets notice? People fired from other soaps. People who have been around for decades. Regarding the budget, I will agree that Frank produces the show well. Under budget? We don't know what that means, because we don't know the budget he's been given.
  21. That's not my point, though. EPs are fired when ratings drop. I don't believe any network watches a budget get out of control for months and then says "You know what? This guy can't watch money." And sets? That hotel room in Paris for Sprina looked nothing like Paris. It wasn't remotely French or European. I guess we're lucky they piped in the cheesy French music.
  22. We're all told ALL THE TIME that Frank Valentini is a miracle worker when it comes to budgets. Is this true, or is iT just that people keep repeating it and now everyone says it and repeats it and believes it? Yes, GH has a bigger (more bloated) cast than the other soaps and yes, we see more sets. How does that translate into "Frank is a genius with the budget!" when we have no idea what his budget is compared to the budget on the other soaps?
  23. I agree. JJ was OK on Nashville, but he wasn't in my Top 10 reasons for watching that series.
  24. Knowing Valentini, he'll kill off Cyrus and bring back Jeff Korber as Lucky. I know Jacob Young was criticized as Lucky, but I really didn't mind him.
