Finally News: Haley Pullos to do 3 months in jail and ...
Reading the whole story, the hit-and-run part of the charge was actually for her hitting a parked car just before she got into the accident, so it wasn't that she hit the injured driver and then ran. She couldn't have since her car was destroyed. "Also dismissed was a hit-and-run charge resulting from Pullos running into a parked car just before the freeway crash. But though prosecutors dropped that count, she will still have to pay restitution to the owner of the car she damaged."

DAYS: Characters Returning In Late 2024
Did you say you saw Billy Flynn in a photo? I missed him. Besides him, the only ones I didn't see there today in photos are Drake, Eric Martsolf, Jessica Serfaty, Lucas Adams and Emily O'Brien, as well as the previously announced AnnaLynne McCord and Al Calderon. Andrea McKinnon is the show's publicist now, so they do have a PR department again. She used to work for the show a long time ago.

FROM THE VAULT: JULIE/STEVE SCENE...EPISODE # 3231...AUGUST 24, 1978... Here's a look at the Olson sibling dynamic between Julie and Steve from Episode # 3231, which aired August 24, 1978. Susan Seaforth Hayes & Stephen Schnetzer are taping their first scene together this week since December 1979.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
It was a plot point written in 1993 that didn't exist in the 1970's, to help tie Kate and Lucas to another storyline in Salem. Same as for John's storyline and Tori Narita. Both involved time frames when the characters (Bill in 1977 and John in 1990's) were on-screen and viewers were watching them each day. Then these two women who had never existed on-screen at the time (Kate Roberts and Tori Narita) were supposedly having affairs with the Salem men, but we just didn't see it on-air. In Bill's case, it totally upended the whole plot point of the 1970's storyline. He specifically never had an affair (with Kate Winograd, the non-existent Kate Roberts, or any other character), it was just that Laura thought he had done so.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
But what keeps getting lost to history since not many of us were watching in the 1970's is that the whole Bill/Kate Winograd storyline was about NOT having an affair. The whole gist of Kate Winograd was that she would NEVER have an affair with a married man. That's why she left Salem. She was in love with Bill but could never take her feelings further due to him being married to Laura. Laura MISTAKINGLY thinking that Bill and Kate were having an affair is what set in motion what happened to Laura psychologically thereafter.

Maureen Russell does point out in her book that she has compiled the dates based on the TAPE dates of the production charts. So, technically, her dates are correct based on that. It's just that for the actors who finish taping in December of a certain year, they will continue airing into January of the next year. So, I did make those discoveries of which actors actually did that when getting all of the scripts.

DAYS: A Horton Returns!
THE THREE FACES OF STEPHEN OLSON... Here's a look at the three actors to have played Julie's brother, Stephen Olson: Flip Mark played Steve for 2 episodes in November 1965. James Carroll Jordan played Steve for 10 episodes in July and August 1972 (pictured with Mark Tapscott as Bob, Nancy Wickwire as Phyllis and Karin Wolfe as Mary); and Stephen Schnetzer (pictured with Susan Seaforth Hayes as Julie) played Steve for 115 episodes from June 1978 to December 1979. After a 45-year absence from the Salem canvas, Stephen Schnetzer will be taping his first episode of "Days" since 1979 this coming week, which will air much later in 2024. Click here to read this 2015 interview I did with the original Steve, Flip Mark: http://www.jason47.com/days/interviewflipmark.html

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Upon additional research, here's more info: I checked the Christmas 1979 Soap Digest synopsis, and right after they detail the Stephen/Mary 12/25/79 scenes is this one sentence: "Bill informs Alice that Stephen flew to Paris after receiving an urgent phone call from someone in France." The weekly newspaper for 12/31/79-1/4/80 notes: "Steve went to Paris." (That looks like to have happened off-screen, with it, per Digest, being Bill who tells Alice about it). Then, in the next Soap Digest issue (for January 1980 episodes): "When Trish learns that Stephen flew to Paris after receiving an urgent phone call from a man, she fears Stephen will tell Durant about the diamonds she stole from him. Trish worries what she'll do if Durant comes to Salem." Then "When Julie mentions that Stephen took a cane with him to France, Mickey expresses puzzlement." In February 1980, the character of Mimi (Stephen's smuggling partner) returns for 5 episodes: Mimi flies in from France and tells Trish that she has merchandise that belongs to Durant. Trish gives her the diamonds. I do see the discrepancy between the final year of Schnetzer (most say 1980, while my records say 12/25/79). The Maureen Russell book says 1980, and I just checked the production notecards, which say 1/80. But, Stephen is not listed on any script, either in January 1980 or any episode in 1980. His last episode was 12/25/79. My guess is, since Russell worked off the weekly production cast charts, perhaps he was originally scheduled to appear in a January 1980 episode, or be part of the Mimi storyline in February 1980, but they ended up only using Mimi to finish out that storyline. Russell compiled her cast list from 1965-1994 using the weekly cast charts, while I compiled my cast list from 1965-1983 by checking each and every script cast list (for the characters) (and for most of the 1965-1975 episodes, also the daily master telecast reports that Days had to submit to NBC for the actor names), and then from my own personal viewings of the episodes from 1984-present.

ALL: Complete list of ABC/CBS/NBC Daytime TV Series (Mondays-Fridays, 10AM-6PM)
It took a bit, since several of these networks are very confusing with their schedules, and seemed to like to change their schedules once every few weeks, but I have finally completed the remaining daytime schedules for FOX, UPN, WB and CW. Many of these series rotated between the early morning timeslots (7AM-10AM) and the 10AM-6PM lists that I did for ABC, CBS and NBC, so all of the series have their full timeslots listed (whether early morning/pre-10AM, or daytime, 10AM-6PM), but those airing in early morning time slots (and technically not part of these lists) are denoted with asterisks (**): FOX: MONDAYS-FRIDAYS: (Aired 9/10/90-12/28/01) (70 SERIES TOTAL) (**9 SERIES ARE EARLY MORNING ONLY, BEFORE 10AM) (61 SERIES AIRED BETWEEN 10AM-6PM) Action Man 1/29/01-3/1/01 (MON-THU, 4PM); ALL: Complete list of ABC/CBS/NBC Daytime TV Series (Mondays-Fridays, 10AM-6PM)
This will be nice to finally get the full FOX Daytime Series list, so it looks like it will be pretty easy to check with the Nielsen stuff. I've checked through 12/31/93, and here are all of the series as of then, so far just 10 animated series. FOX MONDAY-FRIDAY DAYTIME SERIES AS OF 12/31/93: (with time slots; listed in order of debut): Peter Pan & The Pirates 9/17/90-3/15/91 (430PM); 3/18/91-9/2/91 (3PM); 9/9/91-9/11/92 (8AM) Beetlejuice 9/9/91-9/4/92 (4PM); 9/7/92-9/11/92 (3PM); 9/14/92-9/3/93 (730AM); 9/6/93-9/10/93 (8AM) Muppet Babies 9/16/91-9/4/92 (230PM); 9/7/92-9/11/92 (730AM) Batman 9/7/92-Present (430PM) Tom & Jerry Kids 9/7/92-9/10/93 (330PM); 9/13/93-Present (3PM) Alvin & The Chipmunks 9/14/92-9/3/93 (8AM) Tiny Toons 9/14/92-9/10/93 (4PM); 9/13/93-Present (330PM) Power Rangers 9/6/93-Present (730AM) Merrie Melodies 9/14/92-9/10/93 (3PM); 9/13/93-Present (8AM) Animaniacs 9/13/93-Present (4PM) I will tidy up the list once all of the series are confirmed, and get them in alphabetical order at that point.

ALL: Complete list of ABC/CBS/NBC Daytime TV Series (Mondays-Fridays, 10AM-6PM)
This is what I had compiled from Wiki and the Daytime TV Encyclopedia, but I know I've seen more on the Nielsen lists then these. Based on Wiki, it looks like FOX ceased Monday-Friday daytime programming as of December 2001: We can get more specific dates on these as the Nielsen lists are checked. FOX MONDAY-FRIDAYS: (ENDS AS OF DECEMBER 2001) "Animaniacs" (FOX, 9/20/93-9/18/95) "Batman" (aka The Advenutes of Batman and Robin) (FOX, 9/7/92-Summer 1997) "Beast Wars: Transformers" (Fall 1999-Spring 2000) "Beetleborgs Metallix" (1997-1998) "Cartoon Cabana" (Summer 1998) "Cubhouse" (FOX, 10/3/94-Summer 1996) "Eek! The Cat" (FOX, 1/29/96-Summer 1997) "FOX After Breakfast" (Fall 1996-Summer 1997) "Goosebumps" (FOX, Fridays only, 11/3/95-Summer 1996) "The Magic School Bus" (1998-1999) "The New Addams Family" (Summer 1999) "Peter Pan & the Pirates" (FOX, 9/8/90-9/11/92) "Round the Twist" (Summer 1997)

While I hate to use Wiki as a source, it was quick to check. Those other two soaps you mentioned were actually once-a-week primetime soaps: From Wiki: Faraway Hill was the first soap opera broadcast on an American television network, airing on the DuMont Television Network[1] on Wednesday nights at 9:00 PM[2] between October 2 and December 18, 1946. (Jason47 note- 12 episodes at most) New cast member Janice Gilbert remained with the series (The O'Neills) when it was telecast on DuMont Tuesdays at 9pm ET from September 6, 1949, until January 10, 1950.[4] (Jason47 note- 19 episodes at most) So DuMont actually only had one daytime soap, A Woman to Remember, and even that was just for a few months until it moved to primetime: From Wiki: A Woman to Remember is a soap opera which ran on the DuMont Television Network from February 21 to July 15, 1949.[1] The show began on February 21 as a daytime series at 3 pm ET. However, starting May 2, the show aired Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 7:45 pm ET.[citation needed]
