I only did main research on the head writers. I did research at some point on the staff writer birthdays, but I'd have to track down that file somewhere.

ALL: Short lived Headwriter stints
I think he co-wrote material for the two variety show episodes in 1979 and the Tom/Alice 50th anniversary episode in March 1980. He wasn't on staff as a script writer. UPDATE: I just checked the script writer file, and yes, he is just an additional credited writer along with the regular script writer for those 3 episodes. He probably wrote a song or two for those episodes. 3325 Michael Robert David & Bill Hayes 3326 Laura Olsher & Bill Hayes 3628 Paul Harrison & Bill Hayes Dena Higley...........................................3/7/03-8/8/03.............9512-9617 (106) Here's my "Days" writer database list: http://www.jason47.com/days/writers.html Writer(s)...........................................Start Date-End Date.........Episodes (Total) Peggy Phillips & Kenneth Rosen...........11/8/65-12/31/65.............0001-0038 (38) Peggy Phillips......................................1/3/66-7/4/66..................0039-0167 (129) William J. Ratings from the 70's
But we do have weekly recaps beginning 6/14/76, thanks to Jon-Michael Reed's Tune in Tomorrow column. I have all of the Days ones posted on my site. The rest of the soaps would at least be available in newspaper archives. I checked and typed these out for you: 6/28/76-7/2/76: AMC: Phoebe didn't take kindly to Brooke's boyfriend, Benny. But she had no choice after he found out about her scheme. Kitty decided to spend more time with "mother." Linc is suspicious. GH: Jeff turned green during surgery. Rick admitted his longing for Monica. Leslie and Cam argued. She turned to Peter, who doesn't believe Miss Clifford's story either. Cam tried another ploy: find Laura's father. OLTL: Victor's will was read. Victoria was sufficiently provided for, but Dorian was named executrix, and Tony got zilch. Everybody urged Victoria to put up a fight. She doesn't want the responsibility. 7/5/76-7/9/76: AMC: After sneaking out of the hospital, Donna was back in business with Ty. She's having second thoughts and a bummer of a leg. Thanks to Erica, Phoebe learned of Donna's reputation and had a scene with Chuck. Mrs. Lum is on to Phoebe's game. Charles informed Anne of the consequences if she doesn't get an abortion. GH: Jeff and Rick rubbed it in that Rick is the odd man out and doesn't have Monica. Because of Cam's insinuations, Diana stormed in on Peter and Lesley and accused them. OLTL: Dorian offered Peter the job at the clinic instead of Larry. Joe defended Dorian to Tony, then later admitted it with a pose; he doesn't trust Dorian either. Cathy offered to pay Tony's loan.

FROM THE VAULT: WEEKLY DAYTIME NIELSEN RATINGS: WEEKS OF 6/7/76-6/11/76 & 6/14/76-6/18/76: FAST WEEKLY WEEK OF 6/21/76-6/25/76 NOT AVAILABLE (Note: Per newspaper listings, there was only one scheduled preemption this week. "Magazine" preempted "The Price Is Right" from 10-11AM on 6/24/76. All other daytime shows were scheduled to air every day this week).

Ratings from the 70's
7/15/76 was not a YR preemption. The DNC aired pretty much all day on CBS (10-11AM, 130-530PM and 630PM-1216AM) but there was a break from 11AM-130PM, so Gambit, Love of Life, Search for Tomorrow and YR all aired that day, Here are the YR preemptions for 6/76-12/76: 2 Preemptions: Preempted Monday 8/16/76- Campaign 76: Republican Convention Preempted Thursday 11/25/76- Famous Classic Tales 1 Compressed Episode: Thursday 10/7/76 episode (24 minutes) (followed by Ford For President ad, 1224-1230PM) 1 Short Episode (or triggered full preemption?): Wednesday 11/3/76 episode- 1211-1217PM (6 minutes)

Ratings from the 70's
FROM THE VAULT: WEEKLY DAYTIME NIELSEN RATINGS: WEEKS OF 5/24/76-5/28/76 & 5/31/76-6/4/76: There were no preemptions at all in September 1976! A lot of soaps from late September to early November 1976 aired compressed episodes (25 minutes instead of 30 minutes; 55 minutes instead of 60 minutes) due to the Paid Political Ads that would air for 5 minutes at the end of the shows. But that just meant they aired 5 minutes less of commercials during those episodes. Another fun ratings fact: "The Price Is Right" was rated as one full hour until 9/17/76. It was split into the two half-hour ratings we know it as to this day ("The Price Is Right 1" and "The Price Is Right 2") on 9/20/76. So it took CBS four years to realize they could get a higher-rated show in the rankings by making the second half hour of TPIR its own individual rating!

No, 1976 was pretty low on preemptions. They didn't air Olympics in the daytime back then. I have completed the 1976 charts, so skimming them just now, the only main event left for preemptions in 1976 are a few days of the RNC and DNC conventions and Thanksgiving Day. That's about it, other than some breaking news President Carter press conferences. I think there was a discussion last year about the number of viewers, and if they were using "Total # of Viewers" in those press reports instead of the # used here ("Average # of Viewers"). Days got a 8.9/31 for the week of 9/27/76. Average # of viewers: 6,340,000. Total # of viewers: 7,970,000.

She was recurring in November/December 2023. Her new contract started in January 2024 (airdate-wise) and she somehow managed to get her old spot near the top of the credits, instead of going to the end of the contract list.
