nuCane and Lily do in fact have chemistry and I enjoyed their playful scenes together at Crimson Lights. Still wish this actor came in as a new love interest for Lily, but since we couldn’t have that I’d at least want the writers to keep him in Lily's orbit and away from Phyllis. Find something else for Phyllis to do please.. being in a triangle with Lane is NOT it.

I’m liking new Noah too. I just get the Ick with him and Sienna. It’s not just because of the age difference (I mean it is that too), but also I just can’t help but feel like Sienna is a fking loser for wanting to be with Noah romantically.. and I don’t wanna feel that way about her because I like this actress a lot. It’s just, really girl? You’re willing to sacrifice your life to this young man who probably, still in many ways still a little boy and this is the man you feel secure with? I don’t know. I just don’t feel like it’s realistic. Unless they showcase Sienna as a woman who is going through a serious midlife crisis then I might believe it. Right now.. nope.

The Sienna & Noah romance could give Nikki and Sharon a reason to bond over their mutual disgust with their relationship. I guess I am slightly curious to see how this all plays out now that the L.A crap is coming to an end .

I love that BTG has such a large cast. I wonder if that’s because they don’t have to worry about paying them outrageous amounts of money since they have no vets on the show?

I tuned in to the last couple episodes because I saw Victor would have scenes with Shick in L.A and was surprised at how long the scenes were. I’ve suspected for awhile that EB would no longer want his character sharing many scenes with Sharon because of the whole ranch burning thing and marrying Tucker years ago. I have so missed their father/daughter in law relationship and have wanted that fixed for a long time.

Yeah I mean Passions was definitely a cult classic & was my introduction to the soap world as a young millennial but re-watching this show as a grown adult, I realize just how much of it was hot garbage. There were good things about it but there’s a reason why most of Passions audience were so young. The S/L’s were stupid and there was hardly ever any payoff to any of them. If you compare any other soap to Passions around this time, it’s obvious JER was not giving us intelligent soap writing whatsoever. It was lazy… and I don’t have a problem with campy. It was just poorly done. The amount of episodes that went on of Luis and Sheridan getting so close to telling Antonio the “truth” about their love, just for something super dumb to stop it is ridiculous. Or all the times Theresa would almost tell Ethan he’s little Ethan’s father but Pilar or someone else would stop it. Beyond frustrating! It actually got progressively worst over time. They probably had the best years right in the beginning because the budget was atleast there.

Also, why are we acting like “complaining about lack of sets” isn’t 100% valid? Most characters don’t even have a home anymore. If you’re satisfied with mediocrity just say that, but the rest of us don’t have to pretend to like it

Those numbers would be understandable for CG if she was just a supporting character who is not being given much to do. Maybe if she were just helping Sharon around the coffee house and having the occasional one on one conversation with her.. but she’s supposed to be at the centre of a major storyline, and it’s only dragging on because it’s hardly being show cased at all. Is this being done because they don’t wanna pay their actors what they’re worth and only guaranteeing them a few episodes here and there? I’m sorry but that’s not acceptable for soap opera storytelling..

I still dip in and out of this forum but I’d be lying if I’m not coming on here daily to check for the “JG is out at Y&R!” Article which has not come yet.. 😭. That will be a great day.

Billy Millers ‘Billy Abbott’ just captured the essence of Billy so perfectly for me.. and I don’t even necessarily think he was the best actor, he was just the best at playing Billy. I have lost so much interest in the character since he was recast after BM.

I might actually tune in to see Ashley and the Abbotts celebrate Thanksgiving. Everything else sounds like 💩.

Right. As if it’d be anything other than “small and intimate”. I wonder when was the last time a wedding was actually held at a church or wedding venue? Was it Nick & Sharon’s wedding in 2018?

Or if you have a source feel free to PM me with the link 😜 I loved the classic GL episodes but once I found classic Days episodes I ended up getting sidetracked with that. Still, I’d love to watch all the soaps from the 90s and even earlier.

I was not familiar with this actress until I watched her interview on the Soapy podcast and was instantly fascinated by this story so I am looking forward to watching this.

I’ve stopped watching again the past couple weeks and I’m wondering if it’s worth catching up on or not. This Matt Clark return from the dead story & Noah boinking his mama has been a total disappointment. Thank god I discovered classic Days episodes. It’s been great to watch a show with ACTUAL storylines!

This is why I love posting my thoughts in this thread because I know there are posters here with deep knowledge of the show going back years. As someone who is watching these classic episodes with fresh eyes, I love reading about all of the backstory. I wanted to start watching from 1993ish but the poster needs to format those episodes to be watchable and not just for download. So I will wait patiently and continue enjoying the 2000s until then. My Days knowledge is so limited though. I only watched during brief summer breaks around 2003-2007ish so I’m obviously familiar with all the main characters (John, Marlena, Bo, Hope, Sami, Austin, Victor, Kate, Shawn, Belle, and so on and so fourth). It’s been fun to delve more into all these characters.

March/April 2001 Loved the scene where Victor reveals he is alive to Kate in the ashes of the burnt down Kiriakis mansion. I can’t wait to see how Kate claws her way out of this now that she will lose everything. Also, Nicole dying Victors hair that awful brown box dye was hilarious. I had no idea Maggie and Marlena were best friends. I guess Maggie became stuck in this supporting role years ago to help prop up storylines for other characters. I’ve only seen her 3 times in 2001 and it was all involving John/Marlena. The back and forth with Jack and Jen is getting old now. Now they’re going to be living together. Alright, I guess it might make for some funny scenes with them being constantly annoying eachother but either get back together or stfu about it. The Brady and Chloe tension is building. I still say Brady is gay because he criticizes Chloe like a gay man would and it’s hilarious. I’m curious to see when it takes a turn though. Philip is gorgeous but he and Chloe, not a good fit. Austin has to be the most indecisive person on this show. He wants Sami but he’s not sure.. he’s also not sure if he’s into Greta. I think he just likes the attention. Sami and Brandon are hotter anyways but Sami’s obsession with Austin does make her interesting. Lucas is in the hospital fighting for his life from the fire Kate started. I’m curious to see how that develops because if I didn’t know any better I’d say the show is 100% killing him off. He’s been very underused in the year 2001 so far. Bope are starting to get more airtime too now with Glen and Barb prying into the baby mama drama and they already just figured out Lexie and Abe adopted Glen’s baby but I’m assuming a DNA test will be done and it will come back negative because obviously it’s Bo and Hope’s baby Lexie has, not his. Stefano and Lexie’s scenes are so fun to watch and I love Lexie being tempted to the dark side.

March 2001 (Continued) Whew they’re really milking this whole fake rape storyline with Philip and Chloe. I didn’t know Days had the long a*ss nights that last weeks like Passions did. I guess this was the norm for some soaps in the early 2000’s? Philip and Chloe had sex, fought about Victor being alive, ended up in the hospital because Chloe accused him of raping her, then Brady breaks Chloe out of the hospital, now Chloe is back at the hospital to do the rape kit but doesn’t want to do it. Will this night ever end? Sami and Greta thirsting after Austin is really kind of pathetic. I know he’s super hot but how much of a thirst bucket are you willing to act like just for him to toss you a few crumbs? I am sad for Lucas losing his son. I would prefer the joint custody arrangement for him and Sami but we all know Sami doesn’t want that. Lucas does need to get off the booze though if his son is important enough to him. So you mean to tell me it’s just some big coincidence that Lexie and Abe end up at the exact same place as these Glen and Barb characters? And they just happen to be sitting across from each other at the bar. Yeah, okay. Victor and Nicole are an example of one of those rare instances where I enjoy an age gap relationship. Mainly, because the age gap is acknowledged and made as being a part of the story. Nicole may be a money grubber they still in some odd way have this sweet connection which I’m enjoying. This plan they’re concocting to terrorize Kate with Victors “ghost” is hilarious.
