Nik really is stupid enough to think he’s playing Esme but then end up sleeping with her. Avery Pohl is so good though. Her little grin yesterday when Spencer took off and left her with Nik was adorable. Kelly Monaco cannot say the word Cassadine. The struggle was real.

Ooh yes I had forgotten, but she was great as well. There was a scene between her and Alan when he was in prison and she tells him he will always be the perfect man to her that still makes me cry.

Absolutely, it’s rare for child actors to be amazing as children and adults and those are the only two I can think of from GH. I know they attempted Lucky recasts but there’s a reason people are still asking JJ to come back on all his Insta posts, now a solid 12 years after his reprisal. Original Spencer was annoying and NC is fantastic so far.

Very much agreed. On some level I get it, it’s FV’s show to run. But with soaps, you inherent an audience. And we get annoyed when the characters and actors we already love get pushed aside in what sometimes feels like an attempt to recreate a different show.

What a boring option! But the road to redemption for Esme must be in Ryan being such a damn creep with her. The Liz story is so bizarre and just not fun. They really don’t know what to do with her.

I don’t feel quite that dire about Trina. Yes the show treats Joss as the main character but so far they’ve given Trina a good amount of screen time and I two potential love interests. I know FV has a bad history but I’m hopeful so far.

I’m assuming he’s a secret Wu, and it’ll cause tension but I’m still hoping for a good triangle. So someone is finally calling Sonny out and it’s dummy Nikolas in defense of Esme? Ugh

She really is great. Teschner has done so well with the recent younger additions.

It’s kind of crazy that they just throw temps in on big emotional days. I get it if an actor is going to be gone months, but they had a temp last summer for Nikolas when MC was only gone one day. There’s just no changing what’s planned on Frank’s set I guess.

I’m still hoping they try to make Esme more human and let her and Cam have a bad girl/good boy romance. There was definite chemistry there. Way more than btwn Cam and Joss. Sometimes hiring a model (Nick Chavez) works out well and others you end up with a pretty robot on screen.

This entire storyline (which they has really been going on since last September when they started planning the cabin trip) is the pits. Not one bit of it makes sense. They could have done something great here, and they could have kept it simple because there’s no need for it to be convoluted. They have some really strong teen actors (and lucked out that nuTrina is great) and they’re all wasted on nonsense. If Spencer is going to be lying to Trina while acting as a double agent to get evidence on Esme it should be because Esme outright threatened to physically harm Trina if he goes near her again. Otherwise why not tell Trina he’s helping her? Not like Trina is going to reveal it to Esme. So dumb.

I don’t think it’s derailing to discuss what is publicly discussed by Liza herself! I’ll echo only ever having heard good things about La Lucci. Many years ago, when the daytime Emmy’s were still a big deal, I was walking past the red carpet in NYC without realizing what it was. There was a large group of fans behind police barricades hoping for a glimpse of their favorites. I saw many soap stars walk by and give the fans a wave, but Susan stopped to take pictures and chat. This isn’t to say she’s perfect, but I think she genuinely was gracious to her fans.

I’m willing to give the actress more time to develop, I thought she was very strong playing angry at Spencer opposite NC (who played that scene with Spencer’s f-boi qualities hyped to the max). I did see some sparks of chemistry there too and I hope they let that develop. I would like to see more of Trina’s spunk, but the actress plays her as very sweet. It took a while for NC to find his footing too. Between Brooke and Maura, Tabyana has some great actresses to take her under their wings. I can’t tell though if the show will just abandon Sprina now.

I’ve seen the “rumor” about a falling out btwn Liza and her mom on this very forum years ago. This isn’t the first time Liza has said they had a falling out. I’ve seen some speculation of what it’s about but nothing solid. It’s very sad that they can’t mend fences in this difficult time. I’m sure her grandchildren would be of great comfort to her right now.

I really don’t think it matters if PC is small or medium sized, at least not for the point I was making. I went to a large state public school in the same area and still would have been traumatized if this had happened to me. It was their first time having sex and all their classmates saw it? Come on there’s no need to diminish that just cause Joss is an insufferable mini beast.

I get what everyone is saying because no, this isn’t going to be the next Kim K sex tape that launches fame. But in a small town and in a school setting of course it’s damaging. And we were made to believe you could see them completely nude so what they showed us as the audience isn’t supposed to be what the whole of the clip showed. There’s a reason revenge porn like this is against the law now and it’s because it’s incredibly damaging and traumatizing to the victims. I don’t like Joss but I think they’ve shown this fallout in a very real way. It would have been better to do this while they were still in high school but the show is weird about this teen group.

I am very late to the party, but I am so sad to hear SM is leaving. I can’t believe all that buildup and chemistry, and we won’t even get a Sprina kiss before she leaves.

I hope this plays out that they all know Esme did it but fake a fight/blaming Trina to throw her off while they investigate her. Hopefully with Spencer’s help.
