    FROM THE VAULT: EPISODE # 3345: FEBRUARY 1, 1979

At David's Apartment, Stephanie covers her slip of calling Trish by name by saying she recognized Trish from her picture. Stephanie tells Trish she understand her marriage to David was one of convenience, and so she won't mind now that Stephanie and David are in love and want to get married as soon as David gets the divorce. This information saddens Trish.

At Marlena's Gatehouse, Samantha surprises and delights Marlena with her unexpected arrival. When Samantha brings Jerry Rhinehart in, Marlena is somewhat cool towards him. Jerry explains to Marlena that he was just doing his job in the custody case, and he's sorry about the Hortons. Marlena's attitude softens and she apologizes for her previous coolness. Marlena and Samantha fill one another in on what's been happening to them. As Marlena goes out of the room, Don enters and thinks Samantha is Marlena. Samantha goes along with it, teasing him when he doesn't approve of her short hair. When Marlena reenters, and starts giggling behind him, Don realizes he's been had. When Marlena comments to Don about how well Samantha seems to be doing, he says he can't help remembering what she did to them in the past, and he doubts if he will ever be able to forget. Marlena defends Samantha by saying that she was really sick then, and she doubts if Samantha will flip out again as long as she stays away from drugs and alcohol.

At Mary's Studio, Chris and Mary are discussing the fact that Chris and Bob have resolved the mess with Chuck Merrill finally. Chris mentions how strange it was that Stephanie knew about the forged contract, and then they dismiss it. Mary tells Chris she went to see Linda and while Bill explained Mary's conversation with Melissa, Mary still doesn't believe the amnesia bit. Mary, in a pensive mood, tells Chris she really doesn't know him, he's always been silent about the women he's been in love with. Chris mentions he was in Vietnam, but the experience was so painful, he doesn't want to think about it.

At Julie's Apartment, Hope comments to Doug and Julie on how nice it is for the three of them to be together for a change. After Hope leaves the room, Julie tells Doug how conscientious Steve has been in making amends for the fake antique boxes. They're in such a mellow mood that Doug decides not to go to work. Julie and Doug are cuddling on the couch, during a rare evening together, and Julie tells him she'd like to start a family and have a baby.

    is there a DOOL Vault?

    Your welcome! :)

I have a playlist of 1995 episodes, but none with Lydia Summers. Hopefully some will pop up someday.

Thank you very much anyway, I love Abby so when I knew she was on The Show and As Phyllis' Mom! I was ecstatic but so far no luck

I think this is such an interesting point because affiliate scheduling is also what doomed Generations.

Now, I've only read the summaries of FRFP, which admittedly were neither entertaining nor innovative.  However, SOD blamed casting and writing choices for the demise of FRFP, but as is often the case, creative forces are only one element in a show's cancellation.

If we've learned anything from the current state of NBC daytime, than we know that if soaps were cancelled merely because they were poorly cast or written DAYS would have been gone a thousand times by now...

the frustrating truth, that show has seen better times, i wish there was a way to it go back to human drama intead of OTT Science Fiction all the time

Thank You So Very Much! may i ask if by any chance you would have or know where to find any 1995 episodes with Abby Dalton as Lydia Summers, Phyllis' Mom?

Bill Bell didn't follow his own lead and revamp the show once the lead characters had  exhausted logical story possibilities.

If Eric or Melody had chosen to leave then things would have been different.

Otherwise Victor and Nikki should have settled into backburner status earlier. The children being SORASED so early also led to the problem that 10 years on they too had begun to run out of story possibilities.

yeah, Bell's soaps wet nuts with SORAS back in the 1990's, that's why they're having babies all the time, i really think the minimum time should be 10 years

  6. i wish someone would try to get this soap working again oh please dear lord in heaven, i just want it to endure until 2026 so the show would have it's 60th Anniversary and Deirdre Hall her 50th after that i would just be cool about it getting cancelled, can't they really get a way to do some decent drama? they have a respectable stable of Great, Good and Promising actors

BTW did Susan Seaforth Hayes Get something interesting for Her 50th Anniversary back in 2018?

  7. Since I shared The In Memoriam from this year presented by Susan Lucci I wondered who was the Character played by Arlene Dahl on AMC, Turns out The Emmys Committed a mistake and she played "Lucinda" on OLTL I looked around and found a Couple of Scenes with her, apparently she was hung up on Asa, can someone tell more about her?

  8. Humm interesting stuff, maybe that's why Michael never really captured my attention, he made me feel sorry during the rape story he was cute and he is a nice back burner I see once in a while, I don't think they'll recast because I've seen worst cases of hamming up and atrophied talent staying on a show for much longer than one would expect, if anything they should've try to write for him in a way to help evolve his acting back (through the years several average actors grew into excellency with the right writing, if anything explore his psyche, rape victims have a trauma for life, and maybe even as you mentioned and I previously discussed on the DAYS thread, have an episode of Sexual confusion, it's time to put those pretty puppy eyes to good use

They really should've gone with the decapitation route for Abigail - but maybe they can do that for when they finally kill off Will? Of course, in a nefarious DiMera plotline, his head would be kept alive and kept by Leo, which would allow for them to work around Smirky McSmirkface's schedule (when he's not available, they can just draw a smirk on ball), while also freeing up Sonny for hot sex with Chad!

Why haven't I been scouted by them as a writer? Obviously, I'm writing GOLD.

😆😂😆😂😅😂😂 Sure sure, count Me in and we'll snatch that Emmy for Best writing team

Travis died in an explosion saving TR. At Stu and Jo's riverboat restaurant. Warren was the culprit. This video has bits and pieces of Travis demise. I just know the basics. But not the specific details of the whole storyline.

@Joseph If you are asking who cancelled Liza's flight, I believe that was either Aja Doyan or Rusty Sentell. I believe those are holiday episodes from 1982. At the time, Rusty wanted Aja to marry Travis because a stipulation of Rusty's former father-in-law's will left Rusty in charge of a trust for Travis' child. Since Liza had trouble conceiving, Rusty wanted Travis to marry Aja. To keep Liza and Travis apart, Rusty needed to keep them apart so he either made the call to the airline to cancel the flight or had Aja do it. Since I believe Liza was in New York visiting a recording artist or agent that Rusty has arranged, I think he would have cancelled the flight.

Thank you both for the info, I appreciated both but I admit the question was on who cancelled the flight, pretty good scenes left me curious

That seems a bit similar to what was happening to the Fosters as the show began. Liz and Jill worked menial jobs to support Snapper and Greg through their studies.

Did Snapper or Greg ever do anything to thank the women for their sacrifices? Like even a new vacuum cleaner for Liz?

Greg especially as he remained single foe several years.

NOPE, They were 2 ungrateful Asses, Jill and Liz's lives only improved after they married into wealth (Liz with Stuart Brooks and Jill on the THIRD try with John Abbott, i remember watching the episode from when Jill and Kay first met, Greg Jill and Liz were Struggling,Snapper was already rich, Greg didn't help much because of his idealism he wanted to defend the poor, noble, but not very smart, and Jill went to her dreaded Manicurist work again, hoping for some luck on the dimes, and Liz went to her work on the Factory, Kay cancelled her appointment and Jill Called her to ask why, Kay changed her mind, The rest Was History....

Ron he's always hot, dirty or clean lol

    ever happened.

can we be perfectly honest? If he wasn't hot he wouldn't be on that show! I'm sorry fans if it will come as a shock BUT B&B ALWAYS GIVES PREFERENCE TO LOOKS over acting, sometimes they get both

I need to read recaps or find clips online.  Has Sheila disappeared into the night (again), (yet?)?  Or saved someone else connected to the story so that she's redeemed (or not so bad after all)?  (again?)??  It's time to put that character out to pasture.  Did anyone in LA ever let anyone in Genoa City know (Lauren?) that Sheila is alive (again?) and still doing the same thing (again)?

do you have a way to download torrents?

That's exactly what I was saying. It could be almost be like one of those psychological stories that Bill Bell did in the 70s... as long it's taken seriously unlike that the horrendous Craig/Leo mess 😂

talking about the devil, how that turned out? (Leo and Craig and the devil too) Is that mess clean? 1 episode after months leaves lots of questions

I don't want them as an actual couple either. Chad is straight. But I wouldn't mind him, all griefstricken and struggling with trying to go on, share a kiss or something with Sonny.

It just needs to be taken seriously, not stupidly.

    FRIENDLY REMAINDER!

It amy be from some psychological study i read or maybe a mix-up in my head but i think there's cases of Straight Men having episodes of sexual confusion aka One Night Stands (or maybe just kisses) with other men in moments of deep emotional pain and Great need of affection and emotional support, that could happen considering Chad actual emotinal state (first episode in 2 months🙃)
