Dang, Rashad. You are kind of cold to Grayson in that moment. Are you working for your boy Derek, I suppose? Not Katherine defending Joey to Donnell right now... what a turnaround! Wowza. Did not expect her to do that. Good to finally see the Anita Baby launch for ChelseaKat. Wow. A tough conversation is taking place between Joey and Vanessa, and it also reflects the times in which Joey likely grew up. That is just what went on, unfortunately. I sure hope the cameras in the elevator do not have audio attached or enabled. That would be unfortunate. Oh Donnell, you poor summer child, you have no idea just how much Vanessa knows about Heart Attach and is very intimate with them. Joey has a sister and there is a clear reason he does not bring her up. That is a major anvil, and part of me feels like I might just know who that sister could possibly be. So Heather Armstrong is the younger sister who wanted to join in on daddy's business? How interesting. Makes me wonder if she has something in the works against her older brother? Nice to see Vernon and Martin catching up over a drink. I love their grandfather-grandson relationship. It is a very solid and safe space for the two of them. Hmm... what was that reaction to Donnell wishing Douglas were still alive? What was that...? It is heartbreaking what Grayson's mom is going through and the assisted living situation sounds horrible but also natural. I know a few places like what he is describing and it sucks knowing your loved one is not being tended to in the way you would hope they would be in those places. The sheer look of petrified fear on Vernon's face about Katherine's plans for the wing was hilarious. Haha. They have unleashed a formidable force. Lia is fully aware of Grayson's actions, especially since she's tracking his break and noting Ashley as a distraction—something she has not done with anyone else in the hospital. And that threat of death absolutely sealed it for me. She means BUSINESS! Notes: Zimmerman and Davis continued on with the brilliant work done yesterday. It felt like a seamless transition. Brilliantly done. Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa) continues to turn out outstanding performances. She is so in-tune with her scripts and her character, and it shows in the end result.

Your tactics resemble those of a naive, exhausted, and absurd individual. Oh no, Vanessa! Deanna is making direct eye contact with you while kissing Joey. You could not even walk away from the entrance of Uptown? Good on Nicole for noticing Deanna's body language. She is fully aware that things are likely not solid for her following Douglas' death. And I am gagging at Deanna. Whew. Yup. She is Vanessa's daughter, without a doubt! The earth-shattering look on Vanessa's face, the absolute disgust on Deanna's, and the hurt on Donnell's are all just... whew. I am overcome with emotion. Deanna blaming Vanessa for Douglas' death feels quite real, and it is humanly understandable. I love that Donnell is spitting some hard truths to Deanna, and they are truths that she needs to hear. I love seeing Kial and Nicole open up to each other. There is a genuine connection that is slowly burning between them. That is my girl, Vanessa; get some new information out of Joey. Find out what you need to know. Do it! Notes: Slater's influence was throughout this episode. The pacing felt like a classic soap opera in 2026, and I love seeing that continue to happen. The best breakdown writer that could have been hired at this soap. Condensing a lot of the stories into one set (Uptown) is excellent. So many moving parts without having to leave the scene. That is classic. Pascarelli's eye was very apparent in today's direction. I liked it a lot. While I am disappointed we are not seeing the clinic just yet, I am hoping that it becomes a fixture at some point. Resounding round of applause to Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa), Alex Cheeks (Donnell), and Angela Fairley (Deanna) for their outstanding work today. That was incredible.
