Yes to all of this; while I hated the breakdown of Ava & Nina's friendship it did give me what I wanted from the moment Cynthia Watros was cast in the role of Nina: her vs. Maura West. Two powerhouse performers going at it. Sure, it wasn't in the exact tone I would have hoped for, but we got some super juicy moments of feuding (a.k.a. a return to form for the two characters).

Been watching the "live" feed, via Amazon Prime Video, and I've got to say: the 2000's and 2010's were definitely a vastly different time. Both in terms of production, story and cast. Some upsides and some downsides to both. I will say: there are plenty of [former] characters i'd love to see come back, honestly.

That scene was great; the way the set is now being used in ways we hadn't seen prior (using the window on the stairs) was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

I would wager Maxie's 180 in personality and Alexis' return to law were one of the two main things Mulcahey did that was needed. Stripping Sonny of the ass-kissing audience of Port Charles was another highlight for me, as well, but we saw what happened with that.

I agree: again, I think under a creative executive producer, he would have really done some change. Yes, [some things] happening I wasn't in-love with, but overall he was fixing a lot of problems previous regimes had.

Wilson never respected COVID protocols. He's horrible.

100% more talented than so many major-signed [overrated] artists.

Nothing will make that happen... especially losing Edward J. Scott to Y&R.

Honestly, overall, this writing team is solid. Real solid. Michele Val Jean is classic & Robert Guza Jnr, despite all of his faults, will bring some real excitement to Sweeps period, and they both worked together on General Hospital, so that's a promising sign. Susan Dansby is finally getting her due as script editor⏤which means bullshit won't be making it onscreen. And I'm happy they have a continuity producer. I don't believe any other soap has one of those, especially the one with a "historian" as head writer. The two names I don't like seeing are Sara A. Bibel & the "writer," both of whom I'm at least in comfort knowing are breakdown writers, only. Their roles will be tight and restricted, thankfully. But, I love seeing an all-Black writing team of script writers, which will provide a very unique POV to American daytime viewers. Let's go!!! Bring it the frick on!!!!!!!

Being co-head to Val Jean's head is a comfort for me. I trust Val Jean.

He's good at moving stories, and providing some real solid Sweep period storylines. I do believe being Val Jean's co-head will suit him well. Well, Val Jean worked with Guza Jnr on GH, so I assume they had a decent working partnership, enough to where she brought him in as executive producer and co-head writer.

Her work and sense of style is fantastic; a lot of the cast looked amazing on the red carpet for the 13K episode, and her own personal style is outstanding! The IG post she made shopping for clothes for Y&R really excited me, because they looked outstanding!

Anytime! Glad I could post it!!! And I agree: I love that she isn't trying to emulate Julie Berman or Emme Rylan. Tha's going to be exciting!
