  1. Seeing these [supposedly] grown-ass "children" (i.e., Deke/Hope/Steffy) whine about who their parents may be romantically interested in gives me major ick vibes. And the extra layer of "We're not related by blood" is overkill at this point. Bradley Bell loves his incest storylines (and rape storylines, too). Same old recycled bullshït on this soap. The only thing remotely interesting in this drivel pïss is the Forrester vs. Logan storyline, and even that has its major issues.
  2. Gah. More flashbacks from the 1990s. I love it. Back when everything was richer and had more depth.
  3. Direction-wise, the 'reading' of Matt Clark was done exceptionally well. And some impressive performances by Lucas Adams, Tamara Braun, Roger Howarth, and Joshua Morrow. Adams is a solid Noah recast and I hope he does not fall by the wayside by this time next year. Noah should be on the canvas.
  4. We can only hope the demos/ratings plummet. That's the only way a writing change will happen. Thankfully, having Sally McDonald as co-executive producer is a positive, but that's about it.
  5. That's what the "writer" does best. Destroys characters, one joke at a damn time. Praying he is never hired again.
  6. Karla said they ordered less to help the cast and crew⏤many of whom are new to the pacing of daytime⏤adjust to the rigours that the medium has. If we get the pickup for 2027, then we will get 250 episodes. A smart move in my eyes; and knowing where they preempted in 2025, I would assume we have a better idea of where we [might] get those preemptions again. But yes, CBS needs to communicate this with their Canadian counterparts so they know not to put the episode out.
  7. I think, character-wise, they are/were the right choices, but they don't bring enough "oomph" in their stories to really pull you in. As for David Kreizman and Dan O'Connor, both would be interesting head writers. I always preferred O'Connor at General Hospital over Chris Van Etten. But, at this point, with Ken Corday and his nepos there, any hope for this soap is folly. Kreizman has his good and his bad (as any head writer does); I definitely enjoyed his tenure as co-head writer at As the World Turns the most out of the soaps he held the position at. And honestly, his time at All My Children was not bad, either.
  8. Al Calderon was adorable today. I only hope his replacement is as charismatic.
  9. It's already been explained and yet, people actively choose not to listen to the 'why'. 🙄
  10. I did; when we swapped from Guza to Thompson, it shifted a bit more than it had prior.
  11. But it's the network that decides when to preempt, not production, as already proven by previous preemptions. It's obvious Bell Media/E! either did not receive the "Inside Fairmont Crest" special or was not told when to air it. All they need to do is insert it into their schedule.
  12. It's because of CBS (the network) not communicating things to Canada properly about the preemptions, due to them not producing a full 250 episodes/year. That's when it happened, but they're usually on top of fixing it.
  13. And it's actually their bedroom set just re-dressed.
  14. I am sure it will be fixed; Michele and the team are usually quick to jump on that once they find out.
  15. Spoiler because Canada is once again a day ahead: Now people can truly shut their traps about them not having a living room, thankfully.
  16. Credits for Monday, January 19, 2026: Created by: Frank & Doris Hursley Executive producer: Frank Valentini Head writers: Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte Writers: Ryan Quan; Steve Rosenberg and Cathy Lepard Director: Robert Markham
  17. That abridged opening was cute for today.
  18. These under-five day players are not necessary. At all.
  19. Jen has gone on record to state she'll never work on General Hospital again; it was an unhealthy working environment for her.
  20. About time someone called out the strength of the cast. 👀
  21. Amazing @DRW50 ! Thanks for sharing that!
