  1. I'm not even speaking on the pay grade. I'm speaking in terms of story, acting [quality], etc. There is a major stigma out there against soaps, their writing, and their acting.
  2. Oh God. We did not need this to happen. WTAF.

  4. I do believe, in general, they are right. I do believe, as Genie Francis pointed out, that the pandemic shifted things a bit. But at the same time, I also think it is a product of the time. People ask for those slow-burning romances, but when they are given, they complain things are too slow. I will say, couples (in general) are something I do believe General Hospital struggles with. Not as much as, say, The Bold and the Beautiful does (they switch couples up almost as much as one changes their undergarments), but the idea and concept of a couple (not even mentioning supercouples) is lost in modern storytelling on soaps.

  6. I agree, and the script work by Teresa Zimmerman and Lynn Martin proved that today.
  7. I disagree; I think it's found its own pace that works for them and is not comparable with the other soaps, which is to their advantage. It's a different kind of soap.
  8. date: Friday, November 14, 2025 | Teresa Zimmerman, Lynn Martin | Phideaux Xavier So nice to see Nicole and Vanessa unwind at Uptown for a cocktail and some chit-chat. Oh God. It is the dinner from Hell upcoming, right? The con artist child bride is slapping it on extra thick with Jacob and Naomi. Whew. Joey is not backing down on the Randy angle where his "cuz" is concerned. He knows something is up! A family vacation? That is an interesting idea. Dana, your overdramatic behind should go audition for a community play. I am sure you would book the lead in an instant. Ouch, the dinner is getting more steely and cold by the moment. Dana, I know one something you could do... seek professional help! The banter between Martin and Nicole is cute. I like those moments between son and mother. But he has every single right to feel the way he does about the spoilt bitch and her inability to keep her mouth shut in public about private things. Vanessa unspiraling with Steve is everything; she clearly sees Douglas in him and does not want him to end in the same position. Poor Laura having severe PTSD from seeing Dana; yeah, this is going to spiral some more as we head into WinterFest more. Not the con artist child bride's dream getaway being invaded by the Hawthornes. But uh-oh, Naomi saw a prescription for the pill. YOU BEEN CAUGHT! Dana needs to back off of Martin... she has already manipulated him enough. I wonder what Anita and Nicole have up their sleeves where Dana is concerned. Joey's snide remarks lately are quite... cutting, if I do say so. Makes me wonder much more about him, and I wish Vanessa would wonder more. Not the lie about the birth control pills. Girl, your plans are not working. Just give it up! "Nothing's aching for me?" Oh, Vanessa. I would not say it is aching. Throbbing? Sure. But aching? Oh, Vanessa is PLAYING Joey. I know she is. That smile gave it all away. Notes: David Lami Friebe (Izaiah) needs to STOP! I get sick just looking at him. It has to be nipped in the bud. Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana) continues to stand out in how she presents the text brought to her. When the script is good, you can easily present it, and the scripts continue to be excellent. Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa) is delicious. Purely delicious. She knows what she is doing, and she does it exceptionally well.

  15. Last time, they were ahead for eighteen episodes. I am sure it'll be fixed eventually.
  16. Daniel Goddard (Henry, GH) revealed he auditioned for the role of Patrick Drake, which ultimately was cast with Jason Thompson (Billy, Y&R). He also auditioned for the role of Brad Snyder on As the World Turns but lost out to Austin Peck (ex-Austin, DAYS).
  17. Yes, she would have; although, she could have done well in any of the roles, truthfully. But fate was not in her realm regarding Y&R. It all worked out in the end I would say.
