  3. Age is a construct in soaps; taking is that serious is a choice. Just like being fasincated with dates, when the same "day" can take place over anywhere from two to twelve episodes.
  4. Caught up again, and thankfully, Noel's influence is beginning to really make its presence known. Stories seem to be shifting, good or bad, which is good. Thankfully, they have a leader who can lead now.
  5. Credits for Thursday, April 2, 2026: Created by: Frank & Doris Hursley Executive producer: Frank Valentini Head writers: Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten Writers: Nigel Campbell; Steve Rosenberg and Cathy Lepard Director: Denise Van Cleave
  6. original release date: Thursday, April 2, 2026 | writers: Sara A. Bibel, Jazmen Darnell Brown | director: Sonia Blangiardo-Goins Thoughts: Well, that double date went down doubly fast. Unfortunate. But Joey really seemed to do everything in his power to end it before it even began, much to the detriment of Vanessa. Bill? His will? With Dani? Oh, something is up. Could he possibly have some suspicions about Hayley? This is conveying the message, "You need to be aware before it's too late!" Damn. Hayley just wants to jump right to a Snapped episode-level of murder at this point. Joey and Lynette have her shaking in her damn tacky boots. Vanessa deserves praise for confronting Joey's behaviour at the dinner. It was unacceptable (despite also being deliciously juicy). Kial and the dealer ran out of there so damn fast there was smoke. I hate how rattled Nicole is by Joey, and it is apparent that Carlton senses something. Such a reaction cannot be good at all. I love that Dani's foot continues to stay firmly pressed on Hayley's neck. She will forever hold it there until her own dying day. A positive reception from his job interview? With full partnership? Oh, this could be wonderful for Tomas! Such an upgrade. And nope, Katherine did not listen to a single thing you just said, Tomas. At all. Opp... Carlton, if I were in your position, I would swiftly retreat and leave Nicole's house, as I strongly suspect that you are currently not in her favour. At all. Leaving the law firm to Naomi, on paper, is a solid idea; however, if I remember properly, she made it known she was not interested in working with the firm at all. It is sweet that Bill wants Dani to have what she wants; it indicates that he still has deep feelings for her. If only he could have seen that prior to divorcing. Tomas is a level-headed individual. And he is being smart about things right now, especially where taking money from Katherine is concerned. Uh-oh. Joey knows about the finger-sucking situation in Orpehy Gene's. Damn. He really does have ears and eyes everywhere in Fairmont Crest. DAYUM! Nicole went right from Carlton to Kial. She knew who she wanted in that moment and went for it. That's important. Ooo wee, Lynette's foot is also firmly on Hayley's neck, and she is not playing about! I hope she does blow up Hayley's con for everything. Notes: Ah yes, it is a Bibel and Brown day. Amazingly consistent and had excellent flow. A quick-moving episode today. Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa) continues to shine as Vanessa; she has such complexity in the role and shows many dynamic sides of her character. A genuine find. Things are moving quite well, story-wise, right now. Nothing feels dragged down or lacking. We're progressing smoothly from April to May Sweeps, which is incredibly thrilling! I am eagerly anticipating the next episode. You could say I'm being edged by Beyond the Gates. The bedroom set for Greg Vaughan's Kial is lovely. Hopefully we see more in the coming weeks! I love the rollout of the budget refill. Timon Kyle Durrett (Bill) and Karla Mosley (Dani) continue to spark with undeniable electric chemistry. I cannot wait for the romance to play out in front of us. Dominique Madison (Lynette) is delicious, and part of me wishes she would have been cast as Hayley over Marquita Goings.

  8. My response had nothing to do with the link. It had to do with the choice of "Soap Opera Magazine" itself.
  9. You don't. I mean, there are plenty of age-appropriate actors who could and would portray Nicole Walker. Although, I don't see them returning the role anytime soon. It's more so viewers trying to be casting agents with ridiculous ideas.
  10. key: contract | principal guests April 2026: 20 episodes Year-to-date: 60 episodes Monthly leaders: 2026 (appearing episodes/total episodes, per month) Directors, writers, and script editors + overall totals Preemptions: Five preemptions A very special thanks to @alexisfan07 for the double and triple-checking of stats! A huge help that is much appreciated. 🤍💙
  11. I do believe she loves/loved Doug, but we all know sometimes love is not enough. I think they both got so consumed in their children they didn't realise they stopped working/dating within their relationship (as many couples do) until their children were gone.

  13. I know, right? And enjoy your visiting time!
  14. I don't know; part of me thinks there was a different plan, re: reveal and they switched it up once Kirsten Storms' return wasn't as long-term as the writers had been hoping for.
  15. Credits for Wednesday, April 1, 2026: Created by: Frank & Doris Hursley Executive producer: Frank Valentini Head writers: Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte Writers: Micah Steinberg; Stacey Pulwer and Cathy Lepard Director: Allison Reames Smith
  16. I was never impressed with Ryan Paevey during his first stint but since returning, I've enjoyed him much more. This go 'round is better, even if the twist was predictable and clearly changed from the moment of his return to now.
  17. original release date: Wednesday, April 1, 2026 | writers: Teresa Zimmerman, Jazmen Darnell Brown | director: Steven Williford Thoughts: Ted recovered his slip of tongue quite nicely. However, it does feel like Shancie was hoping it was not a slip. I know I appreciated Deanna yesterday, but today she is crossing a line she should not be. She needs to know her place as Vanessa's daughter and verbally bashing you like that is not the thing to do. And Donnell's heartbreak is just written all over his face, too. At least Katherine was smart enough to involve a legal mind (Naomi) in the process. Naomi can offer the necessary context. I just hope she listens. I appreciate Eva going to Joey and talking about his history with Izaiah. I just hope the talk goes well and does not backfire on anyone. Joey just caught Hayley out... and he is not going to let his foot off of Hayley's con artist neck. Carlton may trust the process, but his continued jealousy is going to prove to be a difficulty that I do not think Nicole will be able to handle at the end of the day. He is way too stubborn, too. Good on Eva for talking about her experiences with Izaiah; perhaps her advice might just help him with his budding romance with Shanice. Hopefully! See, Katherine, Eva was trying to be the bigger person and walk away. Instead, you have to be the childish one. Stop it and get over it. This double date will be awkwardly interesting with lots of snarky jabs. I cannot wait. Naomi is resorting to underhanded tactics. I love it. Gag her! Get her! Yes! Joey is projecting his own dirty dealings and preying on those with addictions onto Carlton and Nicole, and neither of them are allowing him to bring them down. Outstanding. Notes: Zimmerman's breakdowns recently have been a bit disappointing. I am hoping this downward trend does not continue, because they began strong. No backtracking. Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa), Alex Cheeks (Donnell), and Angela Fairley (Deanna) did OUTSTANDING work today! I was so compelled and trapped in their scenes together. They produced such a range of work. Wowza! A grand start to April! I cannot stop watching this soap; it's classic goodness, so deliciously character-driven, and perfectly paced.

  19. The fans would revolt. They really would. Corday may be an idiot, but he's not dumb.
  20. Ready for another amazing month of this amazing soap opera.
