Not the best news to wake up to. Bill and Susan were so close to their 50th anniversary. I actually have tears in my eyes right now as I type this. He really was one of those national treasures that you thought was gonna live forever. Days won’t be the same without him.

Joss still makes me sick but I gotta admit, the temp actress is doing a good job. She makes Joss seem like an actual human being. Glad that Spencer is beginning to realize that Esme got her memory back. I hope he keeps that up. And yeah, Sonny was just annoying today. Really good cliffhanger though.

Today was a long one. 44 minutes. Good episode today. We got some really good character insight. Some people might find episodes like this boring, but I like them. Episodes like this provide an understanding as to why these characters act the way that they do and do the things that they do. The storytelling has become a lot more layered and that, to me is one of the best parts of the current episodes. I like how the idea of parenting and whether or not people were making mistakes or flat out failing as parents or step-parents was weaved into so many scenes today. It’s such a realistic dilemma that so many people must face. And I also enjoyed all the foreshadowing today. A lot of things that were brought up today can play into future story and I hope they do, especially the Eric/EJ dynamic. I’m still impressed by the changes in EOB’s Theresa. Theresa’s finally acting like the mother that we’ve always been told that she is. Chad/Alex was really good as well. I like that Alex finally had someone to talk to about how he’s been feeling lately. I hope we continue to see that. They’re finally giving his character more layers and chipping away at the facade that he puts on. And to me, it also seemed like they were implying that Alex is somewhat envious and sad that he’s never had the life or family that Chad has. Him playing a game with Chad and Thomas was nice to see. It always good to see characters just having fun. Btw, kids still play Monkey in the Middle? 😂😂😂 And I’m looking forward to what may happen with Lucas. Not only is it time for him to get out of prison, it’s also time to end this crap with Clyde. Again, I really hope people BTS are noticing how positive all the opinions about Days have been lately.

I guess it was something in Kristina Wagner’s delivery because I, myself, got a little misty eyed at, “Brighton was Barbara Jean!” It was a good episode. Sad to see Lucas go though. They really need to invest in this character. Even if Ryan doesn’t want be on, they should recast. And hopefully, this leads to changes in Carly’s character as well.

F*ck you, Alex 🖕🖕 Can somebody please knock him out? They really made us hate him today and I was so glad to see him get shut down at the end. I was totally Team Justin, even though he seemed a little Ned-like. As sudden and random as Alex’s animosity towards Justin is, I’m enjoying it. It’s a natural reaction for someone who’s in Alex’s position. Hopefully, we’ll get some more insight into how he’s feeling in future episodes. This is the way it should have been written from the very beginning. I think we all know why it wasn’t though lol Plus, this storyline does play more into RSW’s acting style, rather than him being written as a romantic lead who’s always in the right. I was also glad to see Roman and Kate finally out of the Pub lol and I’m looking forward to this storyline with Lucas. It’s time for something to happen with him. Poor guy’s spent more time in prison for a measly little kidnapping than most people in Salem do for murder 😂😂 Lucas, getting out of prison and trying to rebuild his life would be a good storyline, especially if his children and grandchildren were around. That probably won’t happen, but I’d like to see what the scab writers will do with him.

I actually don’t mind the reporter/human trafficking arc, but it should be happening today. Yesterday should have been set solely at the funeral. We should have seen every eulogy instead of just a montage of a few. Lucas should have had a much bigger part and as much as I hate them, Michael and Joss should have as well. It was almost like Days when they try to squeeze multiple episodes of drama into one. I remember lol I hadn’t even watched ATWT for that long and still I thought something was missing from that tribute.

Her son has reached out Eddie Dreuding before. The email is posted on AWHP. Maybe it’s his way of paying tribute to her and remembering her. He was only a few months old when she was killed.

Seriously, why the rush? Bobbie/JZ deserved so much better, so much more than that. The funeral scenes and eulogies were really nice and really touching, but that was all practically over before it began. What gives? No other tribute was like this.

Why’s the actor’s name gotta be Leo? 😂😂😂 Hope he isn’t a Tate recast. Jamie Martin Mann’s been doing so well. Maybe he’ll be Tate’s friend and another part of the teen scene.

Not much happened, but I enjoyed today. I think these scab writers are doing an even better job than the scab writers at GH did. You can tell that a real effort is being put into every script and I’m also really liking how they seem to be laying the groundwork for future story in many of the scripts, except for that Brady/Kristen thing yesterday 😂😂 Awwww Tate. Poor guy. I liked the conversation that he had with Theresa. Her using her own experiences in order to encourage Tate to hang in there was nice to see. She’s finally acting like his mother and I like that. Brady/Nicole was really good too, even though he really needed to choose his words a little better. This family vs family thing could actually be an interesting dynamic in this storyline, especially now that Brady is ready to take action against EJ. That dynamic could lead to something good in the future, if it’s used effectively. Jada and Everett missing each other by seconds was like a classic soap moment but it’s time for them to finally see each other. But that could be interesting too, especially since they’re finally building up a Stephanie/Jada friendship. Abe and Paulina watching their wedding together was sweet. This is what Paulina needed to be doing from the very beginning. And btw, that drink that Paulina made looked nasty 😂😂

I actually like the idea, but it could be so much better than what we’re getting.

Welcome back, Kristen! And already, I want your ass gone again. Her and her little demon spawn 🖕🖕 And I really hope that her final scene today isn’t foreshadowing about what may happen for Brady and Kristen in the future. Eric/Theresa was the best part of today. I liked how Eric came to comfort his cousin and used his own past in order to draw a parallel between what’s going on with Tate right now. That’s the way to use history. Still hoping that someday they do a storyline where Holly finds out the truth about her father’s death. Theresa always feeling like a screw up could be used to drive story as well. They just might need to recast lol even though I do feel EOB has improved over the last few weeks. And yes Theresa, you should call your brother back to Salem to see if he could help out his nephew 😊😂😂 Sloan/Melinda was ok too. I kinda understand why Melinda is so determined to keep the secret about the baby now, but I’m still not sure about how she got to this point. If she’s this determined, maybe she’ll end up killing Leo at some point 😂😂 Getting a little tired of all this stuff with Konstantin though. I might like it a little more if there wasn’t a possible rewrite of history coming up. This storyline actually can happen without a rewrite.

I really liked the Nicole/Maggie scenes. It always good when characters that don’t usually interact share scenes and the two of them seemed to work well together. And I hope they continue to show the relationship between Maggie and Holly once Holly is out of the coma. Paulina’s appearance in those scenes seemed a little random but I am liking how Holly’s OD’ing has effected so many characters on the canvas. I like the interaction, it makes Salem feel like a community again. Still not sure about Chad and Everett being so buddy-buddy all of a sudden, but I think Chad is being used pretty well now as the new owner of the Spectator. It’s different kind of a storyline for him, rather than being in mourning and or in a new relationship. I’m curious about Everett’s story about his friend. I wonder if it’ll play into whatever’s going on with him right now. And as much as I like Tripp, I gotta admit, he is such a Mama’s boy 😂😂😂
