Paper Dolls definitely deserved more time, but the one I’d love to see again is The Monroe’s with William Devane and Susan Sullivan. I remember being really taken by that show when it was on SOAPnet.

Someone uploaded the pilot of The Monroe's almost a year ago.

  2. Alan Locher is hosting a trio of soap alums on his YouTube show, The Locher Room, to benefit the nonprofit organization, Chrysalis. Real-life girlfriends and former soap stars, Rebecca Gayheart (ex-Hannah, LOVING), Sharon Leal (ex-Dahlia, GUIDING LIGHT) and Yvonna Kopacz-Wright (ex-Mel, GL) will participate in the live interview and discuss their two-plus decades as friends, motherhood and their careers to help raise money for the organization. This interview will take place on Thursday March 11, 3 p.m. ET and can be viewed herefor the full story. Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to find and retain employment.

  4. I'm so tired of that ugly hotel lobby. Can Gloria end up managing that place so Phyllis can go back to Jabot to be head of the digital marketing team? Abby shouldn't be owning a restaurant and instead should be caught up in the corporate drama at Newman.

Why do they keep putting characters in the service industry instead of where they should be in terms of profession?

It reminds me of when Billy owned "On The Boulevard" instead of being at Jabot where he should be right now reviving "Glo By Jabot" for the next generation.

  5. I think The Edge Of Night would be a great option for a reboot on the Primetime landscape. It can be a procedural with soapy elements including perhaps the romance of Mike and Nancy, as well as the wealthy Whitney family. In addition to perhaps having Mike's daughter joining the Monticello Police Department.

I've also mentioned on Twitter another soap that should rebooted for the 2020's audience should be Ryan's Hope. I can see them taping in NYC like the original did about the trials and tribulations of an Irish-Catholic family this day and age. Perhaps they can have Delia and Bob be black or POC too. Someone said it can be a mix between "This Is Us and A Million Little Things"

It would've been nice if Alan had even tried to get Nia Long and Monty Sharp for a reunion livestream. He got Ming-Na Wen, so it might have been possible.

I would love to see Nia and Monti together again. I know he reached out to Tamara Tunie twice but both times she turned him down. Though it can be because she is out here staying booked and busy acting in the states and New Zealand. On top of not wanting to talk about her days on ATWT

  7. LA Law - Season 7

Lawd! I'm only on the first episode already. But whoever idea was to have Dan Castellaneta in this damn Homer Simpson Costume in which he isn't even playing himself nor a voice actor makes no damn sense to me.

The stories might have been ridiculous and the characters did become idiots, but people forget Reilly featured THE characters on the show.  Some newbie nobody wasn’t possessed, Marlena was.  And all the stories were rooted in romance and love- having it, losing it, wanting it.

People also forget there was an evolution- they wanted the ratings of his last 18 months, but he had laid the groundwork of those stories for years.  The show didn’t just become crazy for sweeps one year like everyone else tried and failed at.  There was a long period of time between the experiment of Carly being buried alive and then the possession, and then the Secret Room.

I didn’t think about it this way back then, not until Curlee complimented it in the interview Toups did with her, but Reilly was great at structure.  The plots dragged on, but he kept the interest up with those mini-stories he would tell around the larger plots to build excitement.

Back to ATWT- when Riche left GH, I hoped she would go back to daytime on another soap, and I though she would fit well on ATWT.  I’m not sure why, it just seems like it would have benefited from her and she would have made a good fit.

Riche would've been good at ATWT. Wasn't there talk for Claire Labine to come head write there too? I think she would've flourished there more than she did at GL

Sheila had some fun stuff. Don't forget the torn up bridal gown after that delicious catfight with Lauren!

The 2018 return wasn't that bad. Brad Bell did a lot of stuff right. Instead of the previous desaster returns, Sheila seemed slightly more grunded, yet still interesting. Too bad Kim Brown was more interested in politics than playing second fiddle on B&B after the inital return which gave us Quinn/Eric/Sheila/Maaaaaaaaatteoooooo - the godsend masseur. LOL The waitressing job at Il Giardino was a nice twist to have her snoop in to various storyline. Like the Spectra revival, this return just fell flat because it was too short-lived.

Don't forget they had brought Ian Buchanan as James Warwick dealing with a pill addiction and they mentioned Mary-Margaret. If only they would've delved into that story with a recast Mary to deal with Sheila abandoning her family too.
