  1. Love seeing this - thank you! I didn't realize Roger and Jenna were married haha. I love this promo - thanks!
  2. I had never seen this before, thank you for sharing. Beautiful tribute.
  3. Finally watched and the ending was a good Friday cliffhanger. I do LOVE that we have outdoor shots, but like someone else said, it's a little LOL that all the trees are without leaves in the middle of July. But, if you're doing a scene in the park and filming scenes months in advance, I guess you take what you can get haha.
  4. That's cool!!!
  5. I watched the first episode on YT last night and it was even better to see it vs. just listen. Both are great, but I'll watch the rest going forward. So happy they are doing this!
  6. Very interesting background, thank you! And yes, give your recaps/thoughts of your watch, always love to read!
  7. Thank you! Very scary situation for sure and just thankful my immediate circle made it out ok. ♥️
  8. I'll have to watch today's episode on Paramount+ tonight. My local news is breaking in to cover Trump's arrival to Kerrville, TX. I live about an hour away. Such a horrible situation that was. I had very close friends there during the floods who thankfully were able to evacuate in time before their home was washed away.
  9. Haha very true. And oh yes, Matt was heavily involved with construction during this time. He and Josh had quite a few scenes building things, which led them to being friends and Matt being Josh's best man at his Annie wedding. Then you have Matt constructing his and Vanessa's dream home on that island where they met. I just recently got a scene in early 1997 where Matt is actually at the Lewis offices, which was nice to see because that office set is rarely seen since early/mid-1995.
  10. This is going to be very embarrassing to admit, but I always thought this Dorian was just a younger Robin Strasser when I've seen clips. If y'all hadn't talked about an Elaine Princi, I would have never known. They look so similar! What great casting. You're all going to make me add this era of OLTL to my future soap opera watching list. As a kid, I never had time to follow OLTL year-round, only during the summers if I were home and had time after AMC. I distinctly remember loving Tina and Cain (likely bc I had a young crush on Cain), and I definitely remember Max and Luna (again, probably same reason with Max haha). Then, my next phase of OLTL memories starts with the Vega family.
  11. Definitely throughout 1995-1996, the main focus was construction, with the 5th street fire and rebuilding (David Grant falling from the scaffolding bc of Brent; Josh supporting the rebuild all through 96; Matt and his hard hats haha).
  12. Gilly left August 1, 1996. IIRC, Roger/Dinah fired her and she went to work for Griffin (horrible storyline). You're right, at least from mid-1996 to February 1997, there isn't much to WSPR (same with the Springfield Journal after Nick left and Fletcher/Holly was having Meg). I haven't gotten the sense that Dinah really 'works' though, she just seems to be a figurehead.
  13. I already don't remember the exact details (haha), but it was around '96 during the early Lonatrat stuff with Roger. Either Roger gave it to her in the marriage, or she basically stole it from Roger when he was on the drug and going crazy. Soon after she got ownership, there was an episode where Hart kept filming Dinah on set with the big cameras when she was pretending to be on air and they flirted throughout like the start of a porn movie haha.
  14. I just listened to the first episode and generally loved it! I'm a huge Budig fan, but never knew much about Greg R (I haven't watched his shows while he's been on). They have a great friendship and giggly rapport which is endearing. I never watched Y&R, and I'll probably get lambasted for this because I know EB is daytime royalty, but he didn't have much of a sense of humor. He seemed to take himself too seriously, but maybe it's an age thing. It's probably just me. Love that we have this podcast though. It was great hearing their experiences on past soaps, doing soap trivia, would you rather questions about their characters and others, etc. It was fun!
  15. Ahh interesting! I didn't realize that, but it makes sense. It's interesting though, because right after her last credited episode, her two big umbrella storylines that ate up most of 1996 just finally abruptly ended (5th Street/A. Spaulding; Lonatrat), so I just assumed the new writers took charge and started their own stories, but you're right, there's likely a transition period there.
  16. 100% - that's what I was thinking. It was really confusing when she got back from Goshen too. She and Alan lived in a house together (not Spaulding Mansion), then she moved in with Buzz when they owned the diner, and now she's in a different house, or maybe it's the same one she had with Alan but it looks different. I guess we're just meant to 'go with it' 😂
  17. Totally agree! Great episode today, very soapy and catty.
  18. Ohhh this back and forth with Nicole and Leslie is so juicy. I can't believe the DNA on her booty dress comment. I would be seething if I were Nicole.
  19. Agree! And tangentially, I've been thinking about this for a while now as I watch GL... how in the heck does Reva make enough money to have her nice house, nice clothes and support her kids? She returned to Springfield after being with the Amish, where she had no money, and worked at the diner with Buzz for minimum wage (assumption), and now that she left the diner, she really has no job. She's jet setting around the world looking for her long lost sister. Outside of this being a soap, so suspend your disbelief, I just don't get it haha.
  20. LOL at Derek practically laughing when he walks up to Ashley and Shanice fighting. He's reveling in two girls fighting over him. LOL at Shanice looking at Derek's butt while 'diagnosing' him. 😂 I love seeing Ashley squirm.
  21. LOL!!! I agree - this is Ted's fault - he needs to back off.
  22. It was the writing team after McTavish left. She left in October 1996 and Van tells Roger about the folder in Switzerland in January 1997, which was the first we hear about that secret. That then connects Roger to Amanda...
  23. Ahh, that's a bummer to hear They need to give her some meaty stuff.
  24. Haha I have no idea as I don't watch Y&R, but my biased self in this situation wants her to have an Emmy for how much I loved her on AMC. Crazy Annie was amazing. I also love Eileen and wish her luck too!
