Isn't that so scary? Ugh, I feel so bad for her and Kaya. I hate that he's already out, but at least they know his face now. The not knowing makes it 10x scarier IMO.

Well I'm glad Leslie is confronting Vernon now so it won't be some silly Winterfest reveal.

BTG: November 2025 Discussion Thread
Damn, Leslie went in on Shanice... poor girl! Leslie really can't handle stress or certain emotions well, she lashes out. I also think it's weird she wants to know so many details about Eva's love/sex life. Vernon was sweet to June. It was nice (realistic) to see a customer complain to her though while she's still trying to establish herself. I'll be that guy, but for me personally, my enthusiam/excitement over the show has stalled yet again over the last couple weeks. For the majority, it seems like we're in a holding pattern until Winterfest. It's like they don't want to rock the boat or do much until then, which leaves us in a quiet period here. Are sweeps a thing still these days? Seems odd that we're having a slow November. That ending was good, but I saw that coming... in theory it should have a quick resolution, but I'm guessing Leslie will expose it at Winterfest and it'll get throw out of proportion haha.

I hope you like it! Eva is really good friends with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos (she played Mark's sister, Maria Santos, on AMC). She's actually the godmother for one of their children. If you get a wild hair, you should watch AMC from the 90s She comes in 1993 and became an iconic character and part of a wonderful supercouple. Not sure if you're still watching 90s GL, but if you have the time for AMC, you'd love it!

Such a horror! On a lighter note, the doc did highlight her background at AMC and I loved seeing the adoration of John Callahan (Edmund)....AMC fans should enjoy it.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Totally agree! Totally agree re: Sonja. New Jersey - it looks like Teresa/Melissa/Joe all made up (I don't really buy that it's real, but whatever), so if Andy buys it, then I see Teresa/Melissa/Margaret/Dolores with some newbies. I think Jen Ayden is clearly out (thank God) and it'll be so long since we've seen Rachel and Danielle, that people won't care or miss them (they also weren't at Bravocon which is a sign). For OC, they just announced Vicki for Season 20 which I'm SO excited about. I don't think Gretchen is coming back, and I doubt Katie will be. I hope they go back to having fun and showing personal lives. The OC roots are strong so having Season 20 go back to those roots would be nice. Jeana being a friend or guest would be great. I don't really need Gina back, but I don't see them breaking up Gina/Emily unless they dropped them both. I like Emily, so I don't want to see her go.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Sadly, Andy did confirm at Bravocon that OGs will not be added to the roster. They did confirm Sai, Jessel and Erin, which leads me to believe the remainder of the cast, which they confirmed is locked in, are newbies. They start filming early 2026, so my guess is they'll premiere next Fall. When Andy confirmed no OGs being mixed in, the audience reacted in a sad way... I don't understand why they don't just pull the trigger and let it happen, it's clear that's what everyone wants. My ideal cast would be Carole, Dorina, Ramona, Luann + Jessel, Erin and Sai. Jill was a dud in UGT, Kelly annoys me, and Sonja's shtick as run it's course and it's pretty unhealthy. Bethenny will never be on Bravo again. Kristin doesn't live in NYC anymore (I know, neither does Ramona, but she's back there all the time...she could at least be a friend of). Oh I guess maybe Heather, I enjoyed her.

I watched this yesterday and it was very moving. I feel so bad for Eva and her daughter. To live in fear like that for SO many years, just heartbreaking. I'm so glad they caught the guy and he ended up being a loser, but I can't believe he didn't get more jail time. At least they know who he is and what he looks like now... and it helps he's older and not fit at all.

Yeah, I think I got lucky with that! My mom watched with her mom, so it just stuck through the generations. Although it was mostly just me and my parents. My half-brother moved out when I was still young, so thankfully I didn't have to deal with sharing the remote with him for long. My dad would pretend like he didn't care and half-paid attention, but when he was gone on business trips and came back, he for sure wanted to know what he missed... I'm so happy Bridget came back too, because she's been a favorite of mine, so I need to go watch that (I've only see the very last episode which did have Fletcher and Alex, from memory). That's interesting, I've actually felt like the ratio is the reverse - way more girls than boys (in terms of kids anyway). Tammy, Lizzie, Marah, Maureen... compared to Peter and Shayne. Oh I guess you have Jason/Kevin now, so that helps even it out. Oh no, I guess we have Coop and now Rocky, ok you may be right haha. Don't tell me, but if Dinah and Cassie both have their babies, I'm curious what they'll turn out to be.

Ugh, that's just awful. She's still in the end credits as a contract character, but if she doesn't get any acknowledgment or send-off, I'll be sad. She's a legacy character, they should write for her instead of bringing in random new ladies her age (Selena, Teri, etc). I am thrilled to hear they asked her back for the end though Haha No, I changed my rankings after a few months into watching GL this year, and it moved up to #2 quickly. I hadn't changed my rankings/signature since AMC/OLTL were cancelled, so it was very stale anyway and I included the current soaps at the time that I've never even watched (Y&R, B&B, Passions), so I just removed those completely. My only memories of GL, which had it ranked at like #6 or #7, was from summers as a pre-teen and I happened to catch the opening theme and LOVED it. So, when GH had commercials, I would flip over to GL. Other than the opening, my only vague memories are the A-M/Frank/Eleni triangle and Ross/Blake (but I don't really recall any details of the storylines). If it wasn't the summer, then the only soap I was watching daily was AMC because my parents watched and that was our family dinner show haha. They wouldn't have liked knowing I would watch other soaps while home alone during the summer. So, my OLTL/GH/DAYS watching was like 2-3 months a year until I graduated from college. That's when I started ATWT for the Luke/Noah storyline and really enjoyed that show for a good year or two.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yes!!! The good ol' days - that's how I preferred my housewives, more real and less famous. Hope you enjoy Ohh this looks good - and that one housewife looks exactly like Dolores, I actually thought it was Dolores for a minute haha. I want to know where in Rhode Island this is taking place. I know it's a tiny state, but I'm assuming it's focused in a city. I was just in Newport last month and absolutely loved it, tons of mansions and money there on the coast.

Guiding Light Discussion Thread
I’m up to August 14, 1998. *Kevin Mambo is no longer in the credits as a contract player as of August 10th. Interesting because they still have Michael Burke in there even though he died earlier. I wonder why they decided to take him off contract, and whether he’ll be around for a while or if he’s leaving soon. They also added Teri, Lizzie and Sean to the credits. I wonder how that contract for Lizzie (Hayden) went, considering Marah (Kimberly) was never on contract and she was on often. After Michael’s death, Dolly overhears Josh/Reva talking about how hard the clone’s life has been and will always be. They plan to send her away to a remote village in Italy so she can get away from Alan, who wants to use her to promote his new cloning business. The entire thing makes her really emotional. Privately, she takes the last aging serum she kept and drinks it. Finally, we’re getting to the end of this long storyline. I’ll admit, this was pretty moving because she’s essentially committing suicide now and Zimmer did a great job with the material. Dolly asks Josh/Reva to take her to Cross Creek one last time before she goes and Josh does. While there, you can already see Dolly’s face has aged. Dolly hides this from Josh, and behind a door, they have a very emotional and moving conversation. Josh tells her he’ll never forget her and she’ll always be part of his heart. She then writes Josh/Reva a letter, saying she knows she’ll always be loved, and then takes the phone off the hook. I’m starting to think these last few days of Dolly, as she’s dying, are the best part of this storyline because it’s character-driven and not plot-driven. Later, Reva finds the aging serum in the trash and tries to call Cross Creek, but can’t because the phone is off the hook. She rushes to Cross Creek and Josh/Reva force their way into her bedroom and discover a very old Dolly. Harley and Phillip tour the destroyed lab facility at Spaulding and find a container with Michael’s name on it with a key inside. Later, when Josh/Reva are trying to find an anecdote that Michael created that will help Dolly live, Harley realizes the key she found is the answer. They find the locker that the key goes to, but it ends up being empty. They realize it’s in a storage bin, Josh gets it and rushes to Cross Creek, but it’s too late. Reva tells Dolly she was loved and then Dolly dies (Aug 10/11th). Cassie arrives and they bury her near HB, and tell her to enjoy getting to know him in heaven. The ending to this story was quite good, full of emotion and character-driven storytelling, but ultimately good riddance as I’m ready to move on from the clone saga. For the first time, I actually have no idea what story will come next for Reva/Josh. Teri gets Blake to open up, who is still frantic and remembers flashbacks of the incident. Blake ends up saying that Ben forced his way into the house and raped her, but it comes across as questionable and Teri privately tells Frank that something seems off with what Blake is saying. Blake says to herself that she did it for Ross and the kids and there was no other way. Ross gets out of jail on bond and goes to Blake. They have a tearful reunion, but she still can’t feel anything in her legs and the doctor privately tells Ross she should physically be able to walk, but it must be all in her head. Teri and Ben have a very flirtatious dinner (they have great chemistry), and Teri pulls one over on Ben, saying she now knows how he plays the game and is quite good at it. She then has him arrested on the spot and smirks, saying she’s got his number. He later is released on bail, goes to the hospital and sets off the fire alarm, and sees Blake. He tries to get her to admit her real feelings and that he didn’t rape her. She finally opens up and says they made love and it wasn’t rape, which we see Ben has a voice recorder in his pocket, which picked up her admission. She tells him she can’t tell anyone the truth though, and she begs him not to make her. Later, Blake is praying in the chapel and Ben walks in, reveals her taped confession and she freaks out. He tells her he planned to play it for Ross and Teri/Frank, but couldn’t and he still wants her to make the right choice instead. He then breaks the tape and leaves it in her lap and walks out. Blake later confides in Holly while Ben confides in Beth about it all. Ben makes a cryptic comment to Beth that he knows more about Rick and Blake and their ‘situation’ than anyone, hmm. Holly is now drinking at work. She later gets a letter from Fletcher with an update, which gets her excited, but soon realizes he’s not coming back home and hasn’t changed his mind. She goes home, drinks more and cries. Abby, Michelle and Meta show up with the boys (Kevin/Jason) to surprise her but they see her throw a bottle at the fireplace and get very concerned. Meta/Abby take the boys back home and Holly tries to convince them she’ll never do that again, she was just upset from Fletcher’s letter. Michelle privately tells Holly she’s noticed how much she’s been drinking these days and she can recognize an alcoholic because of her father (Ed). She begs her to get help and not let this ruin her life (these were great scenes!). Meanwhile, Abby feels obliged to tell Rick and they go back to Holly’s house and confront her. Later, given everything that’s happened, Rick tells Ross he doesn’t trust his son being with any of them and wants fuller custody for now. Ross is obviously very upset and says no. Ben overhears Rick telling his lawyer he wants to proceed with full custody, and Ben tells Rick that taking Kevin away from Blake will be the biggest mistake of his life. Later, Holly tells Blake about Fletcher’s letter, her drinking and how Abby/Rick are upset and want Kevin, and Blake throws her out of the room. Ross then goes to Holly’s house and harasses her about her drinking and endangering his kids’ lives. This is where Ross loses me, because he then tells Holly he doesn’t blame Fletcher for leaving her (even though she wasn’t drinking before he left). He angrily leaves and heads to Abby’s and demands her to let him inside her house so he can take the kids and she refuses. Ross is really unhinged these days. Wow, Rick continues to push Ben to the point where Ben finally reveals the truth he’s been hiding. He tells Rick that Annie Dutton changed the paternity test results from way back when, and Ross is really the father of both babies! I knew this outcome, but didn’t know how it would happen and I’m surprised Annie was involved and it was premeditated! Vanessa wants to work full-time at Spaulding now, and Matt finally gives his blessing after thinking about it. There is a random scene with Beth and Matt at the Towers (chem test?), and he offers to build Lizzie a play house in his off time at nights (uhh, you were mad at Vanessa for taking time away from Maureen to work, but you’re offering your free nights now away from home?). We’ll see what comes out of this, as it was the first time I recall Matt/Beth having a scene and it was pretty random. Drew tries to convince Bill that he’s perfect for Michelle, so she can have Jesse. Later at the beach, the cops give Jesse a hard time and Michelle uses her Bauer name to get the cops to leave him alone. Jesse gets upset about it and Michelle’s privilege and he leaves, with Drew running after him. Bill comforts Michelle and tells her that Jesse doesn’t make her happy, and she needs someone who can (like him), and they hug. Later, he seems to do a 180 and convinces Michelle to talk to Jesse and they make up, after Jesse says he’s starting to sell some drawings already. Selena seems to have taken Eleni’s place at the diner. We haven’t seen Eleni in several months now which is odd. We also haven’t seen Nola in several months, which reminds me that I never got satisfied with the ending of the Nola/Buzz storyline. It was unfinished because it wasn’t really clear if Buzz got his full memory back or not (just a few flashes of memory), nor did we see Nola’s resolution, as she still seemed to be interested in Buzz in some capacity. Anyway, with Selena’s help, Jenna admits to Harley she wants to be a stay at home mom and stop working. She’s also randomly named the boy Rocky, not sure where that name came from or how Buzz feels about it. They were trying to decide between Stavros and Ian before. Frank suggests David to replace Jenna as Harley’s partner at her PI business. Vicky visits Charles in the hospital and introduces herself to Vivian as a Spaulding and Vivian’s tune changes drastically. She sucks up to her and pushes David to take her on a date since she’s a Spaulding. Vivian is so thirsty. Later, Vicky goes to Alan and Phillip and says she wants her rightful share of the Spaulding fortune, which makes Alan go off. Phillip tries to mediate and reminds her that her mother wrote off the Spauldings and their rights to anything long ago. She vows to fight for what’s rightfully hers. Dinah exposes Sean to Hart and Cassie, by showing Hart he’s a wanted fugitive that Cassie is harboring. Hart kicks Dinah out so he can deal with it, so Dinah calls the cops and tells them where Sean is, and they arrive at Cassie’s to arrest both Sean and Cassie. They all know it was Dinah that called, and Hart is upset with her and plans to bail Cassie out. Teri later announces that Sean’s ex-wife and partner were caught scamming someone and they’re very much alive, and therefore Sean and Cassie are released, much to Dinah’s chagrin. Later, Cassie tells Hart the full truth about the clone, Sean’s involvement, etc, which makes Hart understand everything now and brings them closer.

Thanks for sharing that video! What month/year was that? I know she meant personality, but when Reva told Dylan that he reminded her of Rusty, I thought he for sure resembles him! Thanks everyone - I'm glad Reva/Dylan at least had several months together before she went off the bridge. To DRW's point, when she came back, it's so painfully obvious the writers don't know or care about Dylan and their history. I can't believe Kim would even allow the dialogue to say Marah was her firstborn haha, so bad.

Ahh interesting ok! I didn't realize Dylan was adopted. Was there much of a reunion between Dylan and Reva/Billy - or was Reva not around much at that time? The adoption thing and meeting him as a young adult makes way more sense to me now when I watch Reva barely remember/acknowledge Dylan upon her return to SF in 1995. I can tolerate that. I just looked up the Cameron character and didn't realize that was Ian Ziering. Gosh, I can't stand Ian. Not knowing Beth before 1997, I'm curious what the tics are y'all are referring to. I find Harley to be so neurotic, but it is pretty funny how Phillip calls it out and tolerates it. I didn't really like Harley at first when she returned in 1997, but she's grown on me. I find Beth to be pretty unstable, which I wasn't expecting when I heard about her before. She's also a bit hoity-toity and it kills her to crack that persona when she's struggling and becoming unhinged.

Thank you, both! Very helpful and appreciate you taking the time to write that out. I really would love to see the old Dinah, and after reading that, it's odd they haven't really had Harley and Dinah interact since Harley returned (to our earlier point, I guess the writers didn't have a grasp on/care about history like that). So when she arrived pregnant, was that from Dylan before, offscreen? And they reunited on-screen in SF? I randomly ran across a scene of Harley and Dylan in a dive bar playing pool, with an amazing song in the background and they're very flirtatious. It was a sexy scene for sure and I assumed it was pre-pregnancy, but maybe not. Harley's current antagonist is Beth... I wonder if Beth Ehlers found it funny having to interact and scream at someone so often with her real name. That just came to me reading your comment about Grant and Beth having chemistry back then because I thought you meant Beth (character) first until I realized it was Ehlers. Also, I miss Alan-Michael. I know it was a different actor back then (right?), but I miss the character.

That would have made it much better, and it's so easy too! I know actors tend to view these as jobs and they're not super fans like us, so they don't always remember storylines, but you'd think at some point Beth E. would have said something? Maybe actors didn't think it was their place either. That's a great way to describe Vanessa's feelings about it and what I choose to believe too haha.

Ahh yes, I get what you mean and agree. Ok yes, I honestly was confused about Vanessa too and now that I'm through the clone story, I don't think we'll ever get the real truth acknowledged. But Vanessa definitely knows about the cloning project, she even meets Dolly and isn't stupid enough to believe it's a look-alike long lost cousin, but then she later tells Alan how stupid and unbelievable cloning is... we also know Matt knows the truth about Dolly being a clone and surely they've talked about it offscreen haha. I'm just going to assume she knows the truth, doesn't want to discuss it and will keep the secret buried. I do love the OG Vanessa though, it's been so nice to see.

LOL really?? Yikes, yeah that's bad. I'm into August now and there's quite a bit of Harley feeling uncomfortable becoming a Spaulding and Phillip giving her money to get ahead in life. She keeps talking about being Buzz's daughter, coming from nothing, and wanting to work hard on her own accord to get ahead in life. She won't let Phillip pay for a new, bigger office, so he actually does it by becoming a fake client, giving her $25K for random tasks, just to get her money... and she then gets poisoned by the apple in the fruit basket, which they think is the fake client until he comes clean about what he did... and then they think Beth did it....and I know it's the start of the Nursery Rhyme storyline haha. More recaps to come this week.

Guiding Light Discussion Thread
I’m up to July 31, 1998. Vanessa tells Matt she’s taken a part-time role back at Spaulding which upsets him because she didn’t consult him first. He’s concerned about Maureen’s care and Vanessa’ health, but she’s determined to make it work. Phillip proposes to Harley over breakfast in bed with a ring worth over a million dollars. She’s very happy, but nervous to wear it. She later confides in Jenna that she isn’t confident living the Spaulding lifestyle when she came from nothing, but Jenna reassures her. Later at the diner, the ring falls down the garbage disposal and gets messed up. Phillip asks where her ring is and Selena helps cover for her by saying she’s getting it resized. Later, Selena gets the ring fixed for Harley. Through her connections, Drew introduces Jesse to a big art dealer in hopes to kickstart a career. The guy is impressed and offers him a one-night show. Michelle digs into Drew for having ulterior motives and thinks she paid the art dealer off. Michelle voices her concerns to Jesse, who gets miffed by the accusation. Drew tries to convince Jesse the art dealer is serious (even though she did actually pay him to get his attention). Drew is so desperate, she starts to beg Jesse to give her a chance because she claims she’s really good in bed. This girl is embarrassing. A frantic Michael tells Josh that Alan wants to clone Annie, but Josh thinks he’s overreacting. Josh then meets with David and finally tells him about the cloning project and why he wants him to spy on Vicky. At Spaulding, Vicky and Alan talk about cloning Annie and Vanessa appears to overhear when walking in and asks why they’re talking about Annie. She refuses to leave until they give her an answer, but Dolly barges in and interrupts. Alan and Vanessa think it’s Reva, but she introduces herself as her cousin and they’re very confused. When Dolly gets Alan alone, she happily tells him she’s Reva’s clone along with how it all happened. She then says she stole some aging formula, which is what Alan/Vicky were needing. She also tells Alan about Annie/Reva and the plane crash. After Dolly leaves, Josh storms in and Alan tells him he knows everything and wants to have Dolly be the spokesperson for the cloning division of Spaulding LOL, so dumb. Josh warns him against it all. In the lobby, Vicky questions Vanessa about Brandon and Vanessa laters looks into Vicky’s resume because she’s suspicious. Vicky then runs into David and they flirt a bit. David tries to get Vicky to give him a tour of the lab, which Michael just tried to get into but the codes were changed. Vicky tells David no, so he leaves, and she enters the lab. Before the door shuts, Michael comes in and reveals he’s going to blow the place up! This man has really gone off the deep end haha. As they argue, David overhears from the hall and calls Josh to warn him about Michael having a bomb. Josh and David arrive at the lab and try to convince Michael to stop. Alan and security then show up and Michael sets the detonator! He starts to destroy the lab and pushes Josh out the door just as the lab explodes. In true Alan fashion, he is more worried about finding the research while Vicky and Josh are concerned for a dying Michael. Vanessa shows up and is distraught and they tell her about the cloning project (I’m glad they didn’t forget about this friendship!). As Michael is dying, Vanessa tells him he’s a great man and Josh tells him everything was destroyed like he wanted. Vanessa lashes out at Vicky and makes her face the destruction she’s caused. Michael is then pronounced dead. Later, Dolly takes his death hard because he was like her father in a way, and she’s never experienced death before. I thought that was a nice character-driven moment. Vanessa has a vendetta against Vicky now and she does some digging into her past. She confronts Alan and Vicky with information and Vicky pleads her not to say anything, but she finally reveals to Alan that Vicky is his niece. She’s Brandon’s granddaughter (via Sharina and then Victoria), which is part of the Barbados group of the Spaulding family. Alan doesn’t believe it, but Vicky confirms. Alan refuses to give anything to Vicky, and they seem to set up the next Spaulding family feud here. Dinah convinces her nurse to compromise and tell Hart/Cassie that it’s in her best interest to wait for a paternity test to keep her and the baby safe, which Cassie doesn’t buy. Sean is still hiding out at Cassie’s and still remains shirtless, which I don’t mind, but LOL when Cassie asks him if he ever wears a shirt, and then introduces him to her t-shirt collection to use. Blake survived surgery, but they found that the bullet grazed her spinal cord and they’re not sure if she’ll be paralyzed or not. Ross then pulls the gun on Ben again in the hospital. Beth and Hart convince him to finally put the gun down and Hart gives Ben a stern warning. Holly goes outside and takes a sip from her flask (more Holly drinking!). Ross goes to the hospital chapel and prays. Frank then shows up and both men want the other arrested. They give their sides of the story, but it all comes down to Blake’s version to corroborate the correct story. Blake wakes up and wonders why Frank is there, but then screams out that she can’t feel her legs. She also doesn’t remember being shot and then Frank privately asks Lillian to order a rape test. Blake starts to have flashbacks of everything, but can’t remember exactly. She gets to see Ben and tells Frank Ben couldn’t have raped her. Frank then finds Ross and arrests him. He tells Ross the rape tests were inconclusive. Dinah sees Blake and tells her Ross is in jail and she knows she had sex with Ben, calling her a slut. Sean shows up to the hospital after Cassie gets the call about Blake, and come to find out, Ben is the one who helped set him up for murder. Sean then reveals he knows Ben raped a woman in his past. He later tells Cassie about Ben, and Dinah sees them together. Later at the police station, she sees the wanted posted for Sean and realizes who he is. She goes to Cassie’s and finds him there, pretending to be a friend, but he is on to her. She goes to Hart/Cassie and reveals Cassie has a man at her place, but when they go back to look, Sean is gone and Cassie laughs at her. Sean then confronts Dinah alone. He realizes she’s Ross’ daughter and they realize they have a common enemy in Ben. Rick talks to Holly about how much stress she’s under and how he and Abby would be happy to babysit the kids more often. Hart overhears and randomly shows concern about Rick and his motives. He tells Holly that Rick may want full custody of his son and he’ll fight against Rick taking the kid away from Blake. The July 29th episode has wonderful flashbacks of Holly and Roger, one in particular when he raped her long ago. They are drawing a lot of comparisons to Blake’s infatuation with Ben to Holly’s infatuation with Roger, and Holly keeps pressing Blake not to make the same mistake she did and needs to go back to Ross. She even suggests that Blake tells people she was raped just to get Ben out of their lives so they can move on. I don’t really like this idea, but I get her motivation. On the July 31st episode, a new character Teresa (Teri) DeMarco shows up to the hospital to remove Ben from Blake’s room. Frank introduces her as a new detective that transferred to SF from Detroit. She’s tasked to figure out what really happened between Ross/Ben/Blake. *The actress playing Teri is Signy Coleman, who was once married to Vincent Irizarry! Small world. We also have a new actress playing Marah on the July 31st episode - Lauren Mayhew, replacing the long-standing Kimberly J. Brown. I wonder why they switched. Kimberly was in that role so long and this new actress isn’t much older, so they didn’t age/SORAS Marah. Weird timing too, right in the middle of the clone storyline. Oh I just Googled it, Halloweentown came out in 1998, so I guess she went on to bigger and better things, good for her!
