  1. I would agree with Leah, Braunwyn and Siggy. I didn't mind Teddi (and I love how she makes fun of herself for not being a fan-favorite). Alexis was good - I would say her return as Friend Of was her worst. Brynn from the NYC reboot honestly had one of the worst sophomore seasons. She and Leah are probably tied for worst.
  2. Love this, thanks for sharing!!! The interviewer is so off-putting to me. I just had to say that haha.
  3. Yeah as I think about it, from what I've seen, the only thing remotely close to a 'Frank storyline' is when he went through the police academy. It focused on him mostly, with a few side conversations with Eleni who was worried about his safety, but I guess that could be considered more of a subplot to the greater Lucy/Brent/Marian/AM umbrella storyline. I do like how Michelle stands up to Carmen. I wish they had aged Carmen a little more, or had a gruffer actress in the role, but it's still early days for me and I'm not overly bought in on the cartoon view (yet haha).
  4. Ahh ok - so like Soaplovers say saying, I guess this was her transition... we won't see the jet black anymore, and she'll eventually go gray from here? Good for her! And I agree, I prefer the long length over the pixie. I felt the same with Cady McClain over on AMC in the mid/late-90s when she did the same thing.
  5. Gosh, I really didn't like the new diner they introduced in 1996 when Reva was there with Buzz. I much preferred the diner from 1995 and before. But you're right, losing the diner is like losing a child or personality on the show. I'm not sure what they plan to do - if they rebuild or not... As you saw in my recaps, they are talking about Nola selling off Company, so maybe Buzz takes that over and the diner is gone forever. If so, how sad, but I guess I'll see. Eleni - this is an odd one for me, because as a kid, I remember seeing Eleni/Frank/AM in the ads, on the awards shows, in the magazines and it always stuck with me (likely bc I thought the guys were handsome LOL). But I always assumed Eleni was this huge character, especially given the actress that played her moved on to primetime. So when I started in February 1995, there was this really cool, gothic storyline I jumped right into where Eleni was back in Crete and some childhood 'friend' was holding her captive because they were promised to each other for marriage (or something), and then Frank came and saved the day. I thought it was really cool and Eleni was this huge character, which I expected from my childhood memories. But then a week or two later, the new actress takes over and literally is just a diner waitress for 4 years (save the one powerful scene she got when Nadine died). It just felt like a real letdown, but pre-1995, I haven't seen the Eleni character beyond that cool Crete story, so maybe she wasn't as big as I had imagined all these years. Maybe that Crete story was short and given to her as a great exit storyline. Anyway, Roszell is just out of the credits for now, but they haven't yet acknowledged her leaving the show. She hasn't appeared much at all (or maybe not even once), since Annie's trial when she found out Frank kissed Annie. It's been months since that happened, when Eleni told Frank to basically F off... with no resolution or understanding of where Frank and Eleni's relationship goes from there. Clearly they don't care about the character, which sucks, but there has to be some kind of closure I hope.
  6. I’m up to May 04, 1999. *As of May 3, Jennifer Roszell (Eleni) is no longer in the ending credits as a contract character. I’m still waiting for them to resolve Frank/Eleni’s relationship since Annie’s trial! Reva continues to plan her wedding, all while wearing this new ring. Josh sees the ring and asks about it, and Reva says she doesn’t know why, but the ring worries her a lot. Josh then surprises her with a letter from her mother Sarah that arrived at Lewis Oil, that must have been lost in the Italian mail for a couple years before she died. It was a sweet letter telling her to be with Josh and they tear up over it. Beth is trying to find more information out from Susan about her adopted mother so she can be more like her in hopes to further attract Jim (dumb). Beth later gushes to Lillian about really enjoying Jim’s company. Meanwhile, Jim and Matt meet to discuss Lewis Oil business, but the subject of Beth comes up. Matt assures him that he and Beth were there for each other when they were going through hard times, but they never crossed the line (had sex), and Matt wishes Jim all the luck with Beth. Beth then shows up and Matt leaves, saying he needs to help Nola unload at Company (only adding this note because it’s the first we’ve heard Nola’s name since she just disappeared, and Company for that matter!). Well, Buzz and Selena are at Company waiting for an order and discuss how long it’s taking and Buzz makes a comment that Nola is selling Company (wow!). Jesse stops by and gives Selena an ultimatum, either she tells Drew the truth about her being her mother or he does, because he can’t start a relationship with Drew by keeping a secret. Selena caves and says she’ll tell Drew later that night at family dinner. Harley has agreed to let Susan have her birthday party at Millennium (make that makes sense), but she still refuses to let Max come, saying he’s 15 and she’s only about to be 13 and is too old for her. Susan of course is upset. She’s later helping out at the diner and Max comes in. Trying to impress him and show that she’s not just a little girl, she offers to cook him dinner later after Buzz closes the diner. She lies to Buzz and says Harley is picking her up, so after Buzz closes the diner, she and Max sneak into the kitchen. He’s a bit of a jerk to her and then offers her a cigarette, which she scoffs at. He accidentally starts a fire with the match and they get themselves locked inside the burning kitchen. As they’re screaming, Cassie walks by and smells smoke and realizes the diner is on fire. Susan passes out and Max continues to try and get them out. Cassie enters from the back and notices Max/Susan and is able to open the kitchen door to get them out. Max/Susan are able to exit the diner, but Cassie passes out and remains in danger. Buzz/Selena head to family dinner, which Drew is so excited for especially because she’s been getting closer to Max and it feels like she’s finally in a family. While there, Selena and Jesse are hesitant and reluctant to tell Drew because she’s so happy, but Buzz tries to force it. Drew ends up giving Selena a gift of a pin with two halves, with one half that can be given to Selena’s daughter when she finds her. Selena asks to put it on her to see how it looks, but they’re interrupted when Buzz gets a call about the diner being on fire! They arrive at the diner and find Susan/Max, which confuses Buzz because she was supposed to be with Harley. Susan screams out that Cassie is still inside, so Buzz runs inside to save her, and Selena starts crying out over major concern for Buzz. Jim and Beth show up and Susan lies by saying she’s not sure how the fire started. Buzz then carries Cassie out and Jim runs to her and holds her, telling her she saved his daughter’s life, which makes Beth jealous (oh brother). Buzz cries out in anger and sadness over losing the diner, saying there were 4 generations of blood, sweat, tears and memories there. Frank finally shows up and they ponder why this happened, and Buzz says it’s the universe telling him he needs a change in life. Harley/Phillip then show up and Susan finally admits the truth about being there after-hours with Max, and Harley is pissed. Susan acts out and says she never should have come to SF in the first place. Meanwhile, Jesse isn’t convinced by Max that it was an accident. Buzz/Harley/Frank reminisce about all their memories at the diner, to include talking about Nadine. It’s odd they didn’t include Eleni here. Harley then overhears Max and Susan talking about what really happened with the cigarette and starting the fire and flips out. Frank roughs Max up a bit and takes him to the police station, which upsets Drew because she can’t believe Max would do that. *RIP diner - I'm kind of shocked they did this. So many fires destroy 5th street! Michelle and Bill finally meet up at Company and Michelle apologizes for shutting him out over the last few months during the Danny situation. She realizes he’s been beaten up and is now involved with Pilar, and she warns him to stay away from the Santos family. But he pries and realizes she still has a thing for Danny and he encourages her to go see him. At the same time, Pilar is trying to convince Danny to go back to Michelle because she knows he still has feelings for her. Pilar schemes and is able to get Michelle and Danny in the same room and Michelle clearly enjoys seeing him in his tank-top. Danny then tells Michelle that he’s leaving town for good and moving out West to help his uncle Frederico with the business. Michelle is taken aback, but says it’ll be best for him and she’ll be focusing more on her medical school studies. They both flashback to good times together, but Michelle then gives her wedding ring back and says goodbye. That night, Michelle tells Rick what happened and he says he’s happy that he can go to bed at night not worrying about whether he’ll wake up and she’s in a morgue because of the Santos family. Meanwhile, Danny has a frosty goodbye with Carmen before he leaves town, telling her he’s dead to her and he’ll always be his father’s son, not hers. Carmen breaks down crying as he leaves. He later calls her while driving to the airport and reminds her of one more thing, that he can still bring the entire family down if she goes after Michelle. She says she understands and will stay far away from Michelle, but she accidentally doesn’t hang the phone up. She tells Dietz that in order to protect her son, she has to get rid of Michelle, which Danny overhears on the phone. Danny turns his car around to try and stop her, but ends up crashing his car! Meanwhile, Carmen calls Michelle and says Danny wants to see her one last time before he leaves, so she should come by their mansion. Michelle decides to go and arrives, but Danny isn’t there and she’s concerned. Danny is hurt in the car, but he’s able to get a phone call out to get help sent to the Santos home before he passes out. Carmen and Michelle trade barbs, with Michelle telling her she isn’t scared of her, and Carmen then telling Dietz to move forward with their ‘plan’, but David (now as a cop) rushes in and tells them about Danny’s crash and his call. We then see Danny wheeled into the hospital and Rick/Lillian tend to him. Carmen and Michelle get to the hospital and Michelle claims she’s Danny’s next of kin since they’re still technically married, which lights Carmen up. Danny wakes up and doesn’t remember what happened, but Michelle is convinced he was coming back for her for a reason. Carmen then offers Michelle a deal - walk away from Danny now and she’ll give up her vendetta against her and she and her family will be safe. Michelle says Danny needs her, so she walks away from Carmen and goes to Danny, effectively saying no to her deal. Fletcher visits Holly again, who is sleeping. He tells her he’ll make everything right and be there for her. After he leaves, we see that Holly heard everything while pretending to be asleep and admits to herself that she never really saw the two of them as endgame. She realizes he’s making sacrifices and putting a lot of blame on himself, so she vows to herself that she won’t let him do that anymore.
  7. Thank you!!! Love to hear this and always enjoy your thoughts.
  8. I thought the 4th episode was a little slower/filler until the end, but I'm still really enjoying it. Margo is my least favorite - she just has a mean spirit. I feel bad for Martha and hope she succeeds.
  9. Haha same here - many of us did that back in the 90s. Or look at the young cowboys/Texans.
  10. Ok I'm actually buying the chemistry between Kristina and Jacinda... I could enjoy this. Just want to make sure I didn't miss anything, but Jason had a change of heart and just left, right? That was a great cliffhanger!
  11. Ok - there it is... it really is about Jacinda over the "locale", as Olivia said. Oh boy...
  12. Wait the big family emergency meeting is about schooling Michael on how to be an adult? This is silly. I wonder if it's just because Jacinda is a sex worker. Speaking of, they really are putting her with Kristina a lot. Now I'm getting the chem test vibes y'all were talking about.
  13. Thank you!!! ❤️ You're the best... and you know I love your AMC/OLTL reviews 😃 I usually read them with my coffee in the mornings.
  14. @P.J. - our girl went blonde!!! Color me shocked when she showed back up after being MIA from the show for a month. This is May 12, 1999.
  15. Ahh great - thank you :)
  16. Agree with you all about being disappointed in the Miami news. I'm see so many Bravo Insta accounts with the same thoughts, so hopefully Bravo will hear this and change their mind. Maybe they're waiting to see how Rhode Island turns out, if they can breathe life back into NJ and NY... and then maybe decide to bring Miami back in late 2026/early 2027 once the ladies have new things happening in their lives?
  17. Thanks @DRW50 - love these! What soap was the first one with the blind man saving the lady from the fire?
  18. Thank you!!! And wow, I assumed you've been around SON awhile, you're just natural here :) Happy early 1-year anniversary!
  19. Thank you! I love being part of it! Love that Ross scene - that will be me this weekend celebrating my 1-year I love these versions of Reva and Vanessa here... dare I say... it makes you realize how watered down their personalities have become by the late 90s. Really kind words - thank you
  20. GL Friends: Before I go to bed, I just realized today is my 1-year anniversary of watching GL! 🍾 A year ago, on March 19, 2025, I started watching the February 10, 1995 episode and was immediately hooked. I powered through week after week, and as of today, March 19, 2026, I've watched 4 years and 3 months of our beloved GL. February 10, 1995 - May 10, 1999... what a feat! (More built-up recaps coming later). I can't wait to watch more, but more importantly, thank you all for being here over the past year to help answer my questions and provide your thoughts/opinions. It makes the ride even more fun. 😘 @P.J. @DRW50@DeeVee @Maxim @Spoon @Speed Racer @Mitch64 @GL95 @MLH (I'm sure I'm forgetting others, apologies)
  21. Today's shirtless hunk is Nathan, which of course is great... but I wish we could see Nathan/Lulu actually hooking up vs. assuming they had sex each time he carries her upstairs. Seeing none of the kissing/passion takes away from wanting to root for this new couple. The Jason stuff does feel like originally he didn't know if/when he'd come back... but now that we know it's only a couple months, it doesn't seem as big of a deal to me. Like the Carly scene was amazing and sad... and having Danny figure out where he's going to live doesn't seem to matter much anymore. Many kids have stayed with a grandparent for a month or two over summer or whatever, not a biggie if he know he's coming back now.
  22. I'm going to pat myself on the back for this LOL. I had no idea about Linda's Dirty Dancing connection, but I really love that movie - one of my favorites! Btw - here is the Dixie/Craig dance that was so impressionable to my 8-year old butt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9UD_NvcKn8
  23. Agree - the Bill/Anita scenes were great today. We need more of this.
  24. Wow - this shocks me to be honest. Interesting reading his alcohol journey while at AMC in NYC. I'm glad he's in a better spot in life now.
