  1. According to We Love Soaps he did not die until 1995 but it is possible he fought a long battle with cancer as you stated. https://www.welovesoaps.net/2012/06/historyjune5.html?m=1
  2. As bad as Schenkel was Bunim would have been a disaster!
  3. You perfectly summarized 1985!! I loved November 1982 to February 1985. It is one of my favourite eras of AW's history. I will say that with all the garbage storylines in 1985 at least the core of the show was intact. The dismantling Margaret DePriest did from 1986-87 changed the show forever.
  4. The Locher Room reunion was great. It makes me very happy that the cast all really care for each other.
  5. I think the Podcast was Brandon’s Buzz.
  6. I just listened to this interview and I loved it. Carol Roux seems like such a sweet person. I loved hearing about the early years of the show. What a wasted opportunity not trying to get her back on screen over the years.
  7. I loved the characters of Caroline, Jane and Alice. The show connected them to my favourite SB Family the Lockridges and they had so much potential. But like much of what was good about SB they didn’t last.
  8. I enjoyed Tomlin and Culliton’s era as well. From late 82 to Feb 85 there was a great balance of the past (Matthews, Corys & Ewings) and the new (Harding/Todds, Loves, Felicia/Cass/Wally & McKinnons). Then it went to hell. As bad as 85 was at least the cast and characters were recognizable. In 86 it was a constant exit of actors.
  9. I agree. Soderberg and Purser improved the show significantly and quickly.
  10. ATWT’s 30th, Another World’s 25th and All My Children’s 25th were the best anniversary celebrations by far. I don’t get why these milestones aren’t celebrated more.
  11. Paulina took her foster mother Marsha Cantrell’s last name. I have no idea why though.
  12. I am curious about this too. Christopher Marcantel was a good actor. I am interested in knowing why he was not brought back to the role sooner.
  13. Technical issues aside I really enjoyed this one. The ladies obviously like each other and were surprisingly honestly about their experience on the show and especially Joe Stuart.
  14. I could not see them either then I refreshed the update page.
  15. Maybe it was Diner. My god you have a bad attitude.
  16. I read a Doug Marland interview years ago where he said GL let Kevin Bacon out of his contract so he could do Animal House.
  17. Vanna Tribbey was a good actress. She played Alice as very strong which was refreshing but may have been why she was replaced..
  18. No it was L. Virginia Browne.
  19. Also, Steve, Alice, Sally, Louise and Brooks returned. If the show had done a better job recasting Alice I think they may have had more success with the return of Steve and Alice.
  20. I recently watched the L .Virgina Browne era an completely agree with you.
  21. Ok it ended much better than it began. I went from being cranky watching it to not wanting it to end.
  22. This is the first of these YouTube reunions I have watched. Are they all this painful? When you could hear them it was so much fun but the rest of the time it was unbelievably frustrating. I did not think the comments about VW were negative. They said they have no seen her. I have not seen people i worked with 2o years ago either.
  23. I just discovered that all seasons of Family are on CTV app in Canada. I cannot wait to dive in.
  24. Maybe there is where I remember it from!
