  1. One of the best things about this victory is going to be the Beltway press' heartbreak over ending the age of stories of super-savvy McConnell and the GOP, always the assumed responsible victors.
  2. We did it, bitches!
  3. I think we have as good a shot as we're going to get. If we don't get 'em, nothing changes for me. But it's a good fight nonetheless.
  4. That Carrie Nye story was a blatant ripoff of Peter Straub's Ghost Story both times, so I can't take it seriously tbh.
  5. The last time I remember seeing Lesley on Denise Alexander was notably having to cling to the sets for dear life and it was awkward watching them make her move around while having clear trouble with mobility. I hope she's doing better.
  6. Judging by the text of the TMZ notice, I hope it's not some sort of life support situation but it could well be. In the meantime, now is as a good a moment as any to post this amusing montage of her in That 70s Show. She turned into a pretty funny chick as she got older:
  7. Oh dear.
  8. Good gravy.
  9. I think Lesli did a good job embodying Lois. I remember they (unwisely) reshot flashback scenes from Rena's run with her and Ned, and she pulled it off for the most part. But Lois as a character needed a very good reason to be back full time, and there wasn't one. They tried to clumsily slot her into the post-2000 mob-obsessed version of the show by pairing her with Lorenzo in C-story (as in, the only stuff not mob at that time) to keep him away from Tamara Braun and it didn't suit the character at all. So LK couldn't win for losing. I don't think the role needs Rena to work, but I do think Lois (like Marty on OLTL) was a singular moment in time as a contract player unless you come up with something excellent or have very solid day to day writing. The corps GH had in place at that time was still fairly solid but the stories largely sucked, especially in 2003-2005. So neither Lois (nor Marty IMO, and Marty is one of my all time favorite characters) had a truly compelling reason to be back as a full time contract player.

  11. Charlie is white, under 30 and built so for some fans the Fire Island wedding invites are already sent.

    A very mediocre tenure, sadly.
  13. Lesli was decent. The story sucked.
  14. Say what?? This is news to me. That aside for a moment, I've said this before, but as much as RC often loves to reunite favored couples for fans offscreen this is one case it shouldn't be left at that. Sami is viable, James Scott is not coming back. They need to reunite Lumi IMO, and then perhaps consider recasting E.J. for the DiMeras much further down the road.
  15. Murray Bartlett?? Murray Bartlett's not tryna come back to daytime!
  16. I also think James Reynolds has always been underestimated and poorly paired.
  17. Archive.is link of the WP story above.
  18. I don't think Andrea's return to OLTL was awkward. I thought the stories failed her in the first run and were subject to the insane budgeting and scheduling dark magic Frank practiced, but once you put her with her nieces or later Viki and Howarth's Todd, especially in her second run in 2011, she was gold. (I know Frons evidently ordered her gone in '08 as well)
