  1. It's been mentioned before, but to me it's the holiday stuff and the other echoes of the real world. This is something 5-day-a-week daily daytime could uniquely do to connect with their audience in a way other primetime dramas couldn't. I will never forget where I was when they ran the Bianca coming out scenes on AMC over Christmas, set at Christmas time, as we were all experiencing Christmas in the real world. I watched it live and it felt like you were there, because you were experiencing some of the same things in your life as them.
  2. Ron is a traditionalist in a lot of ways. IMO, sooner or later he'll reveal "Bonnie" is Adrienne the same way he did Gigi and Stacy near the end of OLTL.
  3. Cannot believe this was apparently real:
  4. This is good for us, in that it may actually compel Manchin's hand to agree to abolish the filibuster. That is not a take from Beltway neophytes unfamiliar with Manchin, it's the actual working calculus.
  5. Thread:
  6. I haven't watched it all, but Hillary sings Ellen Bethea's praises near the end. I haven't been able to find signs of Bethea online since shortly after Obama's inauguration, when she was a very visible and proud supporter on Facebook or something. I don't know if she's still acting. Daphnee Duplaix was very good (and I think Hillary said in print she was the only Rachel that had the same spirit as Bethea) but EB was still the best for me.
  7. But when EYEEEE told certain folks on this board that Abby was not a lead, has no character beyond 'stupid' and will never be worthy of frontburner story or taken seriously, some of y'all wanted to throw me in the lake and see if I float!
  8. Did we all see Joe bouncing his grandson on his arm (named for Beau) and dancing with him during the very cheesy musical number at the end of that lovely inaugural special? My God, I can't imagine Trump ever interacting with his grandchildren.
  9. This press conference is refreshingly normal, competent, intelligent and sane.
  10. Remember actual press conferences? We're getting one at 4 PM my time (7 EST).
  11. In case you missed this:
  12. Harris swearing them in. That Dancing in the Streets montage was beautiful. I'll have to find a clip. Don't forget the inaugural special on TV tonight with Hanks, etc. 8 PM EST.
  13. Oh, and Nile Rodgers and Sister Sledge. In case you need a link for the Parade Across America (I still can't believe they did the Fleetwood Mac meme):
  14. Snowden pleading for Trump to pardon that rapist yesterday tells you all you need to know about him now. Earth, Wind & Fire!
  15. Speaking of Melania, this is her upon touching down in FL: I still don't know if they left Barron in DC!
  16. Well, they did it. They put the Fleetwood Mac "Dreams" meme in the Parade Across America. In fairness, that was because Oprah crashed the stage from the rafters to shout to Susan mid-speech. That always annoyed me.
  17. It's time for the Virtual Parade Across America!
